Lovely to be outdoors on a nice night! A little noisy from traffic but otherwise a nice space. Probably time to spiff up the seat cushions, which seemed worn. I also think the menu lacks interest: it was more an indoor dinner menu with heavier fare than a cafe menu. We had a hard time finding anything to eat - looking around, lots of people were ordering hamburgers so I think it was a common problem? One waiter serving everyone, which wasn’t enough. He didn’t seem to know the menu very well.
I’d love to see the Inn rejuvenated.
What a memorable experience! Very attentive & professional service staff, appreciated his recommendations about the menu.
Always excellent food & service in a beautiful romantic atmosphere
Dan was probably the best waiter that I have ever had and made our evening wonderful!
Overall all was good
Waiter charged us for3 desserts when we ordered one
Waiter was marginal
Lovely room. Brad a great bartender! Sadly hair in our first course, salad took the positive ambience and converted the overall experience to moderate. Surprised that we were asked if we wanted salad replaced!
Food took over 40 minutes from time ordered and they weren’t that busy.
Food has improved over the years. Service and drinks are good. Very old school style in a good way. Bar attached to the restaurant. Faces the east bank on the Mississippi. Very beautiful. My only complaint would be it’s charging 5 star prices for a 4 star restaurant. But I keep going back. Very cozy restaurant.
Great Food and Service! A beautiful evening out to celebrate our Anniversary. Topped it off with a horse drawn carriage ride from the Hitching Company.
Great place for a quiet lunch with friends. Food and service was excellent
It was a weird vibe. We had reserved an outdoor table and were told at check in the patio had been overtaken by bees. I may have rescheduled has someone called me. None of the staff were wearing masks. Also weird since the restaurant is in Minneapolis. I asked the host about not wearing masks as I was surprised because we had just come from the Van Gogh Immersive experience a couple miles away and masks were mandatory. The host shared that the clientele for the restaurant are very rude when masks are worn. Our food was awesome, and the unmasked server and table busser were very nice. I don’t think I will return again though - made for a stranger and less fun day than I had planned for especially balancing the safety surrounding our under 12 year old children. Other more comfortable options in town.
Beautiful views of the area, great food and service.
Excellent experience. We were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary and were treated to a 1/2 glass of complimentary champagne. Our food was excellent and the service was wonderful. We will return.
Sat on their patio with our 15 month old son. It was lovely!
We took an out-of-town friend here because we wanted someplace quiet with good food and a nice ambiance so we could have good conversation. We were not disappointed. Our friend was very impressed and complimentary of our choice. The service was friendly and professional, the food excellent and the atmosphere perfect.
Delicious meals. Waygu Tagliatelle melted in your mouth. Breaded walleye had just the right amount of breading and the fish was thick. The Waygu skirt steak could use a starch with all the vegetables. Portions are very large. Service was top notch and the view of the River was so relaxing.
Excellent waiter and well prepared food. Ordered from the bar, which was also excellent. Always a soothing, pleasant environment!
Celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday. The waitstaff was friendly and service was good. We enjoyed the food which was very tasty and delicious. I would recommend this place to celebrate a special occasion.
Best Seabass ever.
Hadn’t been here for years but was nit disappointed. Same old wonderful food with great service
Only downside is the lack of distancing between patron tables, since it wasn’t ghat busy and no masks worn by servers.
Very pleasant experience. Our server, Denise R., was especially attentive, and the food was superb.
Absolutely gorgeous setting and fabulous meal and beverages. A wonderful experience from start to finish, will definitely be coming back soon
I had thr pork chop and wife had scallops. Both were delicious. Wait staff was excellent. We'll be back next time we're in Minneapolis for sure.
We had a lovely dinner on a very slow night at Nicollet Island Inn. The waiter was terrific - the food was delicious. Appreciated the wine perk for our anniversary. Couldn't have asked for a better evening.
I ordered the lobster roll. 4 small pieces of lobster on a hoagie bun for $27.00
Plate loaded with french fries. Terrible value.
Historic, quaint, elegant, comfortable, welcoming.
One of the best restaurants in Minneapolis! Special props on bourbon selection.
Ah, a perfect Minnesota summer dinner! The walleye was expertly prepared, as were the accompanying green beans. We enjoyed sipping our rosé while we listened to the song of tree frogs on the outdoor patio.
Great brunch. I had the corned beef hash, and the corned beef was excellent. The Bloody Mary was good, but could have used more flavor and heat.
Atmosphere, ambience and service were first rate. Food was very good but short of excellent. Value was not great as we spent $65 on brunch for two.
Everything was excellent. Generous portions. Terrific wine. Lovely ambiance.
Good food, patient wait staff, noise levels for retirees and easy parking. What more could you ask for??
Always an enjoyable experience! A true treasure!
We have dined here prior to Covid. We were seated at a window table, nice view, our server was wonderful, pleasant and had a good sense of humor. The food was delicious, we were not rushed. It was our anniversary so at dessert, we were both given a glass of champagne on the house. Definitely return.
Our waiter made our evening with fine food suggestions and friendly conversation- great for these out of Towners!
Phenomenal food & service. Our experience from the moment we walked through the doors was amazing! Highly recommend.
Amazing food and ambience, the staff were quirky and obviously hit by the lack of servers in the industry as a whole. A lovely place to have brunch with friends all in all if you have the time and patience!
