The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by Executive Chef Michael Rain , whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Our wine menu has been chosen specifically to compliment the food and highlight producers from the world's leading wine regions.

Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, old-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 3 or 5-course Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence.

    Nicollet Island Inn is a great location, easy ready parking, view of the river, great service. Menu has diverse options with several of interest. Reuben was delicious. Relaxing place to have meal with long term friend.

    Rebecca was our waitress and she was fantastic, a great representative of the Nicollet Inn restaurant!! She was very professional but friendly and made us feel very welcome. I also noticed that she carried that attitude with the other diners as well. I have been in the customer service business for over 55 years and although we strive to have employees like Rebecca they are very few like here. We had a great meal and a great experience with Rebecca!

    The food was ridiculously delicious. The service from Rebecca was top notch. The view and ambiance were amazing. Yes, it’s expensive. We had just gotten married and our witnesses joined us for dinner. For us, it was worth the expense.

    My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Nicollet Island Inn 36 years ago. Every year we went together on our anniversary to celebrate. He passed away 26 years ago and I’ve continued to go every year. I’m always treated like a queen with special attention to honoring our special day. Going, there is always a great blessing. Thank you to the staff- they have been so gracious to me over so many years. Shirley Cavallaro.

    It was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. The food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent. We had friends in town from the UK and they were extremely happy with our choice for dinner
