The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by Executive Chef Michael Rain , whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Our wine menu has been chosen specifically to compliment the food and highlight producers from the world's leading wine regions.

Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, old-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 3 or 5-course Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence.

    All in all a great lunch experience. Food, very good service was excellent. We had a great waiter, unfortunately I can’t remember his name. We were there celebrating a birthday party and it was a fun time with good food and great service.

    Terrific early evening mother daughters outing. We will be back (repeatedly) for the lobster ravioli! Next time we will bring the guys! Server was very kind and accommodating. Thanks for a great afternoon!

    My friend and I meet for breakfast about once a month at Nicollet Island and have been doing so for many years. The setting is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is superb.

    Always a great experience there. The staff is very professional, food is always top notch, just a really great place to dine. Lots of restaurants stumble with timing, general flow of the meal, but the staff here consistently nail it.

    The location is great. We had a table overlooking the Mississippi River with great prompt service as we have come to expect when dining here. I do miss their multi-course brunch which was something we enjoyed when previously coming here, but things change and the food was still great and well priced. The bacon was delicious and thick and the hash browns were a heaping pile of crispy deliciousness. The coffee was well made but I would have liked a little more refined flavor for this setting. We will however be back.

    We chose Nicollet Island Inn for our son's graduation dinner. We liked the location near the river and the ambience. We had an excellent server. She was attentive and helpful! It was not too busy so very quiet table in our own space. We enjoyed the view by the window. Our food was good. Prices a bit high. All in all a lovely dinner!
