Great restaurant, great service. We look forward to you opening again soon
Great dinner, food was excellent, service perfect.
Good food and great service from Bill. We will go there again before we leave.
Party of 8, took.forever to get our food. 3 ordered steaks none of them cooked to order. Extremely disappointing meal for $600. No one liked the meal and it was a special occasion.
The website talked about what an amazing view of 3 islands and the ocean. Not true
You can see the pool and you can see islands if you leave the restaurant and walk out
We got there early and said we were in no hurry would just get a drink at bar and wait for good table
They took us towards the back where literally all I could see in front of me was a dividing door
Food was not that good
Waiter- Guy was very nice and attentive
Pot stickers were terrible
My wife’s fish was very good
A bit pricey, but such a wonderful experience! Our animated, entertaining server was exceptional... and the Onaga prep and presentation was as good as it gets. Nick’s is absolutely “top shelf”!
The experience started off lovely. The greet staff was able to accommodate us quickly even though we arrived early for our reservation. The table was nice but from there the service ruined the rest of the evening. It was the slowest service we have ever experienced. We would have loved to enjoy dessert however the server was no where to be found. Instead we opted to continue to wait for our bill. I finally went to the greet stand to ask for assistance as we had been waiting and waiting. The food was okay but we definitely had better at other places on the island. We were extremely disappointed seeing that this place was highly recommended. We will not be recommending it to others.
We enjoyed our dinner there and would recommend this restaurant. The prices are a bit high, but the experience is fine dining, no rushing. The ambiance was open air as the tables are protected from above but there are no walls.
My husband, daughter, and I went for a birthday celebration (mine). My daughter also has celiac disease and needs to have a gluten-free diet. The staff made both me and her feel special, including a great table outside facing the sunset, incredibly yummy (and safe for all to eat) food. Server was so kind and attentive as was the whole staff throughout the meal. They even baked a special batch of GF bread for my kiddo so she could nosh while waiting for her entree. Easily one of the best meals we’ve enjoyed ever! Thanks!
Nick’s never disappoints. Amazing food, preparation and presentation. Top notch service. Elegant ambience. We always go to Nick’s twice while in Maui!
Fantastic all around. Service was phenomenal!
Chris our servicer was the best!
Yummy food in the most perfect of settings
Ignored and rushed by waiter. Pretty setting but food was just average. Hostess was rude and tried to seat us in the back of the restaurant when several other tables where available. Out of several dishes at 7:30. Save your money. Overall disappointing.
Loved the strawberries flambé, quite the presentation and delicious too!
Attention to detail and service was fantastic
Always such a nice spot for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend Nick’s as a dining experience.
We've dined at Nick's in the past an have never been disappointed. This visit continued to impress. Well done Nick's!
Great view and food
Nice atmosphere, good service, outstanding quality and preparation of fresh fish.
If I could give our server, Bill, 10 stars I would. He just made our evening. The food was fantastic, some of the best salmon I have ever had. We would highly recommend Nick's to anyone.
Maitre’d indecisive. Slow to seat us even though many tables available. Then seated us at a poor table. “Let me see if they take it.” Server terribly inattentive. Asked four times before I could get a Diet Coke. At least they didn’t charge after I politely expressed my exasperation. Food mediocre. All in all a poor, overpriced experience.
Chris - best waiter ever!
We had a very lovely sunset dinner at Nick’s for my husbands birthday. Leon our server was excellent and the other staff were very attentive as well. It wasn’t very busy the night that we were there however I would still suggest a reservation, it’s worth it. The smoked Hamachi appetizer was delicious and we would definitely recommend saving room for dessert, we had the panna cotta, definitely a win.
Great service, outstanding food, and it always has amazing sunsets in full view.
Too noisy where we were seated by a big group eating there
Waiter didn’t seem to notice or care
Amazing dinner recently at Nick's Fishmarket in Wailea! Delicious food and wonderful impeccable service from our charming and attentive waiter, Matt. Love the new scallops and goat cheese tortellini entrée! Nick's never disappoints. Mahalo!
Our waiter was great!! My vegetarian food was very creative!
Overall our experience was good at the restaurant, however, we found as though the price was not indicative of the experience/quality.
It was a fabulous dinner and we have never been disappointed at Nick's. Excellent service and a great outdoor venue.
Excellent service from server, Chevas(spelling?). He acknowledged immediately the occasion that we were celebrating from our open table reservation Beautiful table and view. Great atmosphere. Perfect for older and younger family members. Starting us off with goldfish snacks for the kids and cocktails for adults was perfect! Food was really great... not quiet exceptional so hence the 4 star not 5. Fairmont shuttle took us back to Wailea Beach Villas which was nice and made it easy. Would recommend and come back.
We were seated directly facing the sun with guests in swim suits and kids running around. -which made it hard to enjoy our meal. Like most Resort restaurants the food was good but not amazing and way overpriced. Overall a disappointment. Tried a local restaurant with great ambiance and had an amazing meal and drinks for less than half the price!
Oysters were the best raw I’ve ever had. Maui salad was also amazing. Spiny lobster was fine. Not something I’d order again.
Service was good, not outstanding like some of the reviews claim. The host was very concerned with some Congress woman... lol
Fish was great but steak was badly undercooked. Service was great and atmosphere was great.
Beautiful setting. Scallops delicious; Amberjack fish delicious; beet salad beautiful and yummy
Very nice service! Free anniversary desert! My wife had the daily catch and loved it. I had the Mahi-mahi and the fish was not flaky as fresh fish should be.
I have eaten salmon in many restaurants around the world. The salmon at Nick’s would have to be in the top three and the service was great.
If you like Applebee's on a bad day, Nick's Fish market is the place for you. Overly-reliant on salt and sugar (overdoing with both) to season the food, and young kids come by and try to take your picture (to then sell you a $20 print of said picture). Just terrible. All of it.
You’d probably expect a place with “Fishmarket Maui” in the name to have primarily some fish from somewhere near Hawaii. Granted it’s in the Fairmont resort where we were staying, but surprisingly we found instead the most generic restaurant menu we could have dreamed up. We still aren’t sure why they bother to fly salmon in from New Zealand when they’re on Maui to begin with, or why there needs to be chicken and three red meats.
The food was itself delicious, but generally over sauced and over decorated. The flavors in the appetizer dishes we had were indeed quite good, but we found them to overpower the proteins. For example, the black and blue ahi was almost swimming in a plate of sauce when there probably should have been more of a drizzle to simply let the ahi shine.
That all said, the preparation of the macadamia-encrusted mahi mahi was absolutely fantastic!
This may have just been our enthusiastic server, but everything was theatrical, down to handing us chopsticks. Which is fun — and with the strawberry flambé dessert, is VERY fun! — but sometimes you might just want to be seated with a menu rather than wait for the show of having it handed to you.
I’m probably not giving the restaurant the credit it deserves. I’m just probably not its target diner.
Very good service. Excellent food nicely prepared.
