Sunday Brunch: 10am-2pm
Dinner: Monday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday & Saturday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday: 3:00pm - 9:00pm
Our group meets here annually for Sunday night dinner, for past 5 years. The food is outstanding, ambiance on par with food quality, service along same level. We have high expectations based on past experiences and have not been disappointed.
My favorite restaurant in the entire U.S. The team is always friendly and provides excellent service.
My friend and I met for a fabulous 2 hr lunch. We both selected the burger because we heard the guys next to us order that too. Not what girls usually would order, but it was wonderful and reasonably priced at $11 which included a salad or fries. Our waiter was charming and personable too. I love that the noise level is minimal so we could actually chat and enjoy our conversation. I will return!
Nice place good food, lake view, relaxed atmosphere lots of happy people around
Great service staff and wonderful food.
Great service. The management and staff prepared for our special event and it turned made it extra special.
My wife and I went out with friends we had not seen for awhile. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat....and our food was outstanding!
Always consistent and excellent food. Fish dishes fresh and cooked to perfection.
Lovely dinner celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Always can count on wonderful food and service! It is one of our favorites in Wichita!
My wife and I visit Newport Grill often. Happy hour is a favorite. This last visit we celebrated both her birthday and her mother’s birthday. The staff and kitchen made it very special. The chef is a master. Don’t be afraid of venturing off your regular dietary tendencies and explore.
If you are an oyster fancier they offer several choices from low to high brine.
This was one of our go-to restaurants, but the quality has declined and we will not return.
Mahi Mahi awesome. I love that Newport does not cover the fish in sauce. A little salt n pepper and lemon is all it takes. Once of my favorite dishes along with the spinach and prosciutto salad and whipped potatoes. Always great service and food...fresh! Their seafood is flown in.
We enjoy Newport Grill as the atmosphere is usually very good and the menu has a wide choice
On this occasion the food could have been warmer but tasted good in any event
The one blight was the accident the server had dropping used cutlery on my wife’s new dress
From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and made you feel welcomed. The wait staff went over the menu and what portion options were available. From the appetizer to desert we were not rushed from one course to the other. The clam chowder was swimming with clams and was absolutely delicious. The Fillet Mignon was melt in you mouth. Portions were ample.
I would not recommend it for brunch, we’ve eaten dinner there many times and it’s always good but the brunch was awful, way over priced for what you get and the quality of food
We enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner. The food was exceptional and the ambiance beautiful and attentive. Our server, Mirko, was absolutely awesome: gracious, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The evening weather was extraordinary and we could have sat outside, as many other diners did, but enjoyed our special indoor table and took photos of our group in front of the lake with the sunset behind us. I highly recommend Newport Grill to anyone wanting something extra special in Wichita.
Love this place. A bit pricey, but well worth it. They can and will adjust any dish to your liking with absolutely no issues. Service is wonderful. I would call dinner there a "dining experience" rather than just going to dinner. I wish we had one in Tulsa.
Swordfish dish was incredible. Bread pudding dish is shareable size.
We ate here for our anniversary, and short of a small hiccup in the beginning, it was by far an AMAZING experience. Our server Chime was SO good. He was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was on point and could not have asked for anything more from them. Newport is one of my favorites for a reason!!
Consistently very good. Lucky wife's birthday was on martini night. Bacon wrapped date hors d'oeuvre was surprisingly good. Scallops always cooked perfectly. Chime was very helpful and friendly.
Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines, cocktails, and foods available. The food was cooked well.
We ate the house- made Romano tapenade for appetizer, which was delicious.
The seared Ahi was good per my wife and I thought the trout almondine was very good.
I really enjoyed the peanut butter dessert, which I found to be creative/original.
Overall, this restaurant is unique in Wichita with its variety of seafood, high level of service, and comfortable but sophisticated ambiance.
My wife and I celebrated our 49th Anniversary last weekend and we elected to try the Newport Grill upon recommendations from others. I must say, we were impressed with every aspect of the evening. We will definitely make Newport Grill a frequent dining experience moving forward.

A great place for after work cocktails and special occasion dining. Service is impeccable. Food is excellent.
The food was exceptional as usual but the service was “choppy”. Our water glasses were sometimes empty and the waiter was invisible at times. Still a fine establishment but with a blemish this time.
We've always found Newport Grill to be one of Wichita's better restaurants. It's outstanding for fish, in particular, and the dishes are always creatively prepared. On this particular night my order of cod came out a cold and undone in the middle. Our waiter was off polishing wine glasses on the other side of the restaurant and didn't come by in a timely manner to check on us. We eventually flagged another waiter who took the plate back. It came back a few minutes later with a new set-up (still no appearance by our waiter at this point). Just a minor annoyance as the quality of the food made up for initial set-back. My wife's halibut was excellent, as was the bread pudding we shared for dessert.
The staff and food was amazing! Food was very fresh and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Fresh, fantastic seafood. We enjoyed Newport Grill for a date night! The cocktails were delicious and seasonal and the service was perfect.
Newport Grill is one of my new favorite restaurants. They have one of the best happy hours that we have experienced in Wichita. Where else can you have a fancy steak dinner & get drinks for $2.50? That's how much the domestic drafts and wells are during happy hour. They also have oysters on the half shell for $1.00 apiece.
For Dinner, I had the Filet Mignon with whipped potatoes and green beans; my husband had Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were excellent. The Filet was tender & cooked perfectly; it was delicious! We had the Yoder Pork Chop last time we came & it was delicious as well. The restaurant has patio seating by the waterfront, or you can sit inside in the beautiful dining room. We highly recommend Newport Grill & will be back soon!
Was very well pleased with the menu choices, the service was outstanding and the venue is probably the most outstanding in Wichita.
We've always had a good experience at Newport, except last weekend when we went for lunch on Sunday at 1pm. For starters, we were seated without menus and had a long wait time for the waiter to come over. We did not intend to go for brunch and were not offered lunch menus, only told that "lunch options are limited and will take longer to make." More wait time for the waiter to come back. We ended up just getting the brunch because of the wait time and not understanding the lunch options, even though we weren't that hungry to eat $21 worth of food. Also, where we were seated, there were 3-4 employees filling out paperwork seated around us. Quite unprofessional, especially at main lunch/brunch hour. Again, have always been a big fan of Newport, but very disappointed with our last visit, especially since we brought out of town family.
Awesome and always the best you can get in town
We had a fantastic double date with some of our friends here. The handcrafted cocktails were amazing, we had delicious appetizers (you HAVE to try their house-made ricotta. Omg.) and our entrees were all fabulous, fresh and perfectly prepared. I don't think there was one bite left on anyone's plate at the end of the meal. We finished with some unique and delicious made-from-scratch desserts...the chocolate bourbon bread pudding was insane. We will certainly be back again and again!!
Dinner is always awesome, beginning with calamari and progressing thru the chef's special and on to dessert. I'm always torn when it comes to dessert. I love the beignets filled with molten dark chocolate and I also love their homemade mango-lime sorbet. Finished the evening with a bit of 20-year-old port. Service was perfect and the Hendricks gimlets were wonderful. What more could you ask for?
The happy hour pricing was really affordable - the oysters were very good. Our daughters both ordered the Ahi and didn't like it AT ALL. My husband ordered a ribeye, and I ordered swordfish. Both were prepared very well. There was an outside patio with a band that evening. While the ambiance is outstanding, the food and service was just mediocre, and fairly expensive.
The Service was the most outstanding we had for quite a while.
Returned to Newport Grill after a wonderful dinner on a prior evening. Was disappointed this time. The table service was extremely slow. Painfully slow. Hate feeling ignored like that. Food was great, but the tempo killed it. Was tempted with dessert, but couldn’t stand to prolong the waiting. Paid my check and felt relieved to be leaving. Hopefully do better next time.
Had a wonderful dinner at Newport Grill. Been there several times. Alicia was a marvelous server. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. Looking forward to next time.
Very good all around brunch.
