Their Kimchi Rice is to die for!! Then go to their Rooftop bar and get all cozy at the bar, tables, couch, with a beautiful skyline view, delicious drinks, some bar snacks, all while enjoying upbeat music that allows you to keep a conversation with your friends/partner. Definitely a most go and recommendation to all

I had just read Michelle Zauner's wonderful memoir, Crying in H Mart, which is filled with descriptions of the variety of Korean dishes that bonded her and her mother through many rough periods. I wanted to sample a wider variety of excellent Korean foods than I had previously on my many excursions into NYC's K-Town. Gaonnuri served up some of the best food of any cuisine I've ever eaten. The Wagyu steak and the jumbo shrimps were BBqued to perfection, the banchan selection was fresh and tasty, and the kimchi stew was excellent. The servers were lovely and attentive, and the ambiance rather glamorous. I highly recommend this restaurant who want a quintessential Korean dining experience. (And afterwards, as we did, you can visit the H Mart just a few doors down!).
