- BBruceSan Francisco Bay Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is the 1st time we have been in Pawleys Island since the summer after the pandemic. Perrone's has always been one of our favorite restaurants but was struggling with staffing issues. We're very pleased to see Perrones's survived and is even better than before. We arrived a little early and took a seat at the bar. Our bartender was pleasant and mixed a great Mojito and Manhattan. We were seated on time and Kelly our waiter greeted us. We ordered 6 North Carolina oysters which were very tasty. For appetizers we shared the smoked trout dip and the escargot. Both were delicious. Terri had the salmon and was impressed with the presentation and the mild taste of the salmon in contrast to the sides. I enjoyed the duck breast which was perfectly tender and extremely flavorful. No room for desert although Kelly tried hard to get us to take a desert home. We will be back before we head back to Ohio for spring and summer and hope to become regular patrons when we relocate to Pawleys Island next fall. If you haven't tried Perrone's it's worth every penny. They serve unique exciting food that is miles different than the other restaurants in the area.More infoPerrone's Restaurant and BarPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Pawleys Island•4.8

- MMary EllenVIPSouth Carolina •22 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAnother great evening at the Hot Fish Club. Drinks: "ColdFashion" play on an old fashion was a nice twist and delicious. Firecracker martini left a warm burn and was a great way to start the evening. One diner ordered Oysters Rockefeller appetizer and Red Snapper dinner special. He barely spoke all night because he was simply savoring his meal. Two fried shrimp platters....always a good choice! Shrimp are delicious and the coating wasn't too heavy and prepared nice and crispy. Peel and eat shrimp were plump and delicious! Clearly not previously frozen. Seafood chowder had a great flavor; just wish there were a few more chunks of fish and few less potato chunks. But that's nitpicking. Dessert: key lime pie....one of the best around. It does come with raspberry sauce on it and the waiter was kind enough to get me a different piece with no sauce....just my preference. Other diners had salted caramel cheesecake and it was all gone!!! Service staff is outstanding. If there were ten stars, they'd have 10 stars. Get there early and have a drink out in the gazevbo.More infoHot Fish ClubPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Garden City/Murrells Inlet•4.6
