Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.

The original Hot and Hot Fish Club was founded in the late 1700’s by the planters of All Saints Parish. The social club was dedicated to epicurean pursuits; gourmet food, strong drinks and festive times. The first club was said to be on Drunken Jack Island, located just a few miles south from here. Members of the original club described their past time spent on the island as the “happiest hours of their lives.” The Club was dismantled and finally laid to rest after the Civil War. An ever shifting sand bar off the coast of Huntington Beach State Park is all that remains of the original site. The Hot Fish Club today is located in the oldest existing restaurant building on the Grand Strand. Hot Fish Club remains a favorite gathering place today for discriminating locals and is open to everyone seeking Great Food, Great Drink, and Lively Conversation, in the spirit of those earlier revelers. We pride ourselves on our personal service and our desire to satisfy each guest.

Have eaten here several times over the past few years. Absolutely one of our favorite places we've ever been to. Always stop at least once when in the area, and it never disappoints. Do yourself a favor and check out out

Not your average hotel restaurant. The Independent would be a standout on it's own. Not too big, Just enough tables to have a great energy, quality service without being stuffy. Wonderful she-crab soup, burrata salad, flat-iron steak and scallops were on point. Do not miss the non-traditional key-lime pie.

Wine selection gets high marks for both variety, price and quality. Duck was perfect cooked, amazingly tender and plentiful. Elk is a favorite and well done as usual. Attention to detail by Kelly was appreciated as she was attentive, but not overbearing. No surprise this is a favorite of ours.
