The definitive Italian restaurant we have ever experienced, with family atmosphere but incredibly flavorful and sophisticated food from homemade pasta ( gluten free available). The subtlety of simply sauces and additions ( think pecorino cheese, truffles, roasted peppercorns et al) is paired with a homemade soup of the day and salads perfectly made and dressed. It compares superbly with any of the best Italian we experienced in Rome, including the original Alfredo’s ( creator of Fettuccini Alfredo). Run don’t walk to here!!

We really love this place! Drinks, GOOD! Food, GOOD! Service, GOOD! We had such a hard time deciding what to order, we had to go back and invite friends to try something else! We plan to continue to visit to work our way through the menu. The food and beverage quality makes the prices a bargain! And the servers are wonderful, fun, and personable. They know their product! Make a reservation and go!

Absolutely fabulous drinks, food and service! One of the best restaurants in Salem.

What a great meal. From the very first dish, (just a sesame English muffin with koji butter, but astonishingly good,) to dessert, I was blown away. The Parisian gnocchi and the citrus salad were both out of this world. Chef’s Kari, Soren, Jon, and their kitchen team have outdone themselves with the very fun, limited-run Breakfast for Dinner Menu. Throw Dry January to the side for a night because the wine pairings were perfect. We drank our way through the glass pour options while we ate and the wines were delicious and fit seamlessly. Our server Lauren put the wine list together and clearly knows what she’s doing. I can’t wait for my next opportunity to eat at Hayward. Thank you to the whole team for creating such a great experience.

We are locals and this is our favorite restaurant in McMinnville. As always, the food was excellent and we love the ambience. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. My wife had her favorite - wild salmon - and was not disappointed. I had a bean stew with several kinds of meat plus a duck leg and thigh - very nice. We'll be back!
