- MMelissaPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe eggs (Benedict) were cooked to perfection with the most delicious homemade hollandaise sauce! The asparagus and potatoes that accompanied the dish were fantastic! The house made chocolate croissant was delectable! My husband had the French toast and MIL had the pancakes both of which were highly delightful! We can’t wait to return!More infoLa Belle Epoque Wine BistroPrice: Expensive• French• Media•4.7
- AAmyVIPPhiladelphia County •180 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoI have not been to Iron Hill in awhile. The service was very good. The food was very good and plentiful. It was very loud in the restaurant. I would recommend making reservations especially on weekends. The homemade root beer is still delicious. I recommend Iron Hill.More infoIron Hill Brewery - MediaPrice: Moderate• American• Media•4.2
- RRosePhiladelphia County •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a party of 9. Overall it was a great experience. My guests all enjoyed their food. We really liked their red sauce. My one complaint is that we were sat on the deck without having been asked when I made the reservation. On a cool day it be would not be a problem but it had been an 80 degree day. And while it was not overwhelming hot I would have been more comfortable inside.More infoTeca Newtown SquarePrice: Expensive• Italian• Newtown Square•4.6

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. It doesn’t have to be fancy. What makes an occasion special isn’t an arbitrary date on the calendar—it’s the decision to celebrate. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

Discover Media
As a borough 20 miles west of Philadelphia, Media has a variety of small restaurants with a strong Pennsylvania flavor. Lasagna in this region is well known for spicy red sauces that vary depending on the type of pasta. Chefs mix and match pastas and sauces to make fusion lasagnas, and these custom creations are saved on several menus. Media blueberry foods are also famous throughout the Philly suburbs. From blueberry muffins to blueberry breads, this theme is a signature facet of the area. Local farms provide baskets of blueberries that are ground and mashed into delectable pastes. Overall, Media is a vibrant neighborhood with a culinary passion that should not be overlooked.
