Margaret Kuo's Kitchen At The Promenade
Margaret and Warren still packing a triple punch of great food, great portions & great prices! Our most recent visit covered the whole menu with samples of sushi, sashimi and the best Szechuan spicy dumplings you’ve ever had. Delicate morsels in a sauce you can’t stop thinking about after your first taste. Dinners are gracious portions of tender beef, chicken and fine quality seafood. Even the cocktail choices will surprise you … if you haven’t been … GO.
Good food but pricey
The shrimp appetizer was not crispy. The main dishes came out cold. The sushi was good.
The food and service was fantastic
Food was great, service was wonderful. I would highly recommend!
Food was not quite what I remember from the Peking but was good . The restaurant is very well laid out but the music was loud and did not help the ambience. I waited a
long time to get back to this restaurant and I probably will not be back in the near future.
this is our "go to" when we want a great meal and just be together
Diners still squeamish about eating indoors will appreciate the breezy patio at Margaret Kuo's Kitchen. The food is wonderful and reasonably priced, the service attentive and the atmosphere charming. A perfect spot for a light lunch with a friend.
Not sure I would go back Anniversary dinner, had to wait 1/2 hour after being seated for a server. Then another 1/2 hour for drinks and food order. After two hours I could not wait to leave.
Great food, timely and efficiently served, wonderful ambiance. I am going back soon.
First time back since Peking closed. Hasn’t missed a beat. Beautifully decorated. Food amazing. Impressed our guest who never experienced Peking.
Eating lunch on the terrace on a sunny early autumn day was pure heaven. Our fare was light and delicious (my friend ordered chicken dumplings; I had a mixed salad and scallion pancakes), the service was friendly and efficient, the tables spaced (good covid protocol) and the prices reasonable . It was a bit windy, but in a way that only added to the charm. I’ll be back.
Food was AMAZING!! Service was great! Will definitely be back
Our waitress was exceptional. We enjoyed our evening greatly!
Food quality and service was very good... part of the order came out after we were finished our meal... had it wrapped to go...
We have dined here a few times since the new location opened. As always, it was delightful evening with exceptional food
Margaret Kuo's Kitchen is outstanding. Food and service terrific. I particularly love the spicy tuna tartare and the dumplings. One of our favorite restaurants.
They are always so great with their service and their food!
Our sushi was delicious. Service was a bit lax but it was a busy Saturday night.
This latest restaurant of Margaret Kuo’s is great! Beautiful interior really adds to the experience. Highly recommend!
The room temperature was hot because the door to the outside veranda was kept open. It was at least 80 degrees in the restaurant. Not comfortable because of that. Service was slow because there wasn’t enough help. The waiter was very nice and worked as fast as he could but had too many tables. Food was good. Maitre d wasn’t very friendly upon our entrance to the restaurant.
Dinner with 2 friends; we all enjoyed our meals. We ordered the "Shanghai steamed pork soup buns' as an appetizer to share; interesting and very good. For our main courses, we had the chilean sea bass, one with the plum sauce and the other with ginger sauce. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Shanghai; it was served with broccoli and a slightly sweet sauce; delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and patient as we took almost 45 minutes to order; too much chatting!
We shared the boneless ribs as a starter. The ribs were flavorful, tender and plentiful! I had the mandarin steak with spring pancakes and it also was tender and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the General Tso's chicken. He said it was better than PF Chang's.
Going away dinner was fabulous for our immediate family of four!
Excellent service. Delicious food and reasonable prices. We sat a long time and the waiter was very gracious. I’ll definitely go back.
Second time there in about 2 weeks. The food is very good but not hot enough. rice is cold. Felt rushed, waiter was constantly at the table.
The menu provides a variety of Chinese foods not typically seen elsewhere. The atmosphere was very modern and sophisticated.
Food was very good. Got the apps after our sushi which was our main course but was all very good
Food was good as always but could have been hotter. the waiter never came back to the table to check on us. Just returned with the bill.
Everything was great and the food was delicious!
I have been eating at Margaret Kuo's restaurants in the greater Philadelphia region for many years. You pay a premium to go as the food and service and ambience is better than the average chinese restaurant and a far cry from take out. However, we went there for a Mother's day dinner and the service was slow and poor. The drinks were expensive and mediocre. The food was good but not great. I expect more for the price tag we paid. Above all, they ran out of white rice. I have never heard of a chinese restaurant running out of white rice. I will not likely return but the sushi was good enough for take out.
Birthday dinner. Food was excellent and we sat for a very long time after we finished eating an no one bothered us. A wonderful experience.
We were seated immediately, waiter was very nice & knowledgeable. Food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
My youngest daughter loves Chinese food. We decided to try this restaurant. It was fantastic. The waitstaff was outstanding. My other daughter ( 10 years old) wanted the sushi dinner. It was very fresh and very tasty. Half way through, .the youngest one stated that here it is where she wants to have her 8 year-old birthday dinner on Friday 4/30/21. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my wife had the honey nut shrimp, both were awesome. This place diffidently deserves a second visit.
We watched an episode of a cooking show featuring Peking Duck and needed to try it for ourselves. This did not disappoint, food was outstanding and a lovely experience. Will definitely be back.
Very good food and the staff are very friendly
This was for my 40th birthday. Good atmosphere, good food, nice service, overall a very pleasant experience.
