Dolgellau Restaurants

It’s been a while since we have visited for Sunday lunch! The experience was excellent- food, service and ambiance was first class. We made an error booking via OpenTable, which was accommodated very quickly, which we really appreciated! Won’t leave it as long next time

This is our second time eating here and it was amazing again. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Such a great place.

It would be very difficult to find a better place to eat anywhere in the country. The food is always superb, the service is second to none and the views of the sea and the bay are truly beautiful. Add to that the great value andI don’t know why anyone would ever want to go anywhere else!

The carvery was lovely again and we had gorgeous desserts. It is such good value as the carvery is free for children. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.
