We had a great time at the Angel, the young staff were helpful and very attentive. The Sunday lunch roasts were really good.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was second to none. The service, and I mean every single person involved with the service was nothing short of fantastic. The knowledge of the food and wine was fantastic and really interesting. Thanks to all the staff for helping up to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.

My husband and I went early evening on a Wednesday, our first visit. Very friendly welcome on arrival and were shown to our table straight away and drink order taken. As usual our eyes were bigger than our bellies, and we have big bellies. I had the haloumi fries for a starter. They were so good, really nice and plump and a bit gooey with a really good crispy coating. Served with warm sweet chilli sauce. The OH had the garlic prawns (they were huge) which came with a really nice crusty role. For mains I had the ribs. I would say there were approximately 10 ribs. The meat just fell away. Served with salad, chips and coleslaw which was yum. The OH had the burger and it nearly beat him, I think he may even have left some of his pint, which is unheard of. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Moody Mare!

Great pub in a lovely setting. Peaceful sitting outside. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We all really enjoyed our food. We were not hurried out which was great.
