From the friendly barman to the lovely waitress this was a lovely experience. Appreciated there was alcohol free beer on draught and wife's drink was lovely too. Sunday lunch was tasty and every part of it was well cooked and seasoned. Manager came round and asked if we had enough food. Only regret is I would have liked space for a desert. Great experience. Thank you all

Booked the festive afternoon tea and was seated in the upstairs room which was pleasant with a pianist playing. Enjoyable food and were asked if additional sandwiches and cakes were needed. Service was friendly and you were put at ease.

As always the food was amazing. Only constructive criticism is that the Panna Cotta has changed to strawberry Flavour on a Prosecco jelly base, the original version is much nicer. This doesn’t mean it was bad, it was just disappointing. However, overall the food was delicious.

An incredible meal and overall experience. The staff are fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. It was my birthday, I was astounded to find they'd placed a helium balloon and a birthday card on the table. I have always wanted to try lobster thermidor, so was delighted to try that which included prawns and baby scallops. My wife had a seafood crepe which was quite unusual and delicious. If you want incredible food without the formality of fine dining then look no further - most definitely our favourite restaurant in Yorkshire.
