Went on a week day lunchtime, so was reasonably quiet. The food was beautiful and exquisitely presented. The service just right and very respectful. The decor is amazing and the whole experience was enough to make me want to go back very soon.

Phenomenal hotel with an excellent chef cooking all the meals! All the food was on .5 star across the board, friendly staff very clean, neat and tidy, quaint restaurant! I recommend this place to everybody!!

I was lucky to be able to make a booking at this restaurant during our stay in Masham. We are both vegetarian so requested a veggie menu in advance. The food was superb, we can’t praise it highly enough. Too often in restaurants we get fobbed off with mediocre pasta, risotto or curry dishes, all of which we can produce cheaply and easily ourselves. It was wonderful to have dishes served to us that had been produced with incredible skill, imagination and attention to detail. We definitely don’t have the skill or know how to do this ourselves. For once we didn’t feel like we were an inconvenience or afterthought simply because we didn’t eat meat or fish. It’s so much harder to produce good, varied and tasty vegetarian food and the chef more than achieved this, demonstrating outstanding talent. We received a very friendly and warm welcome and the service was excellent throughout the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was spot on, it wasn’t noisy so we didn’t struggle to hear each other talk and I love that there is space between the tables. Room to relax without feeling like you’re eavesdropping on each others’ conversations. My one regret is that we live over 200 miles away, although my credit card bill would rocket if we lived nearby! We will definitely visit again if we are back in the area.

An excellent lunch, chosen from an interesting fixed price menu and served by friendly attentive staff. We will certainly be returning.

Lovely staff; patient, polite and considerate with one of our party who has Parkinson’s. The birthday card and cake were a lovely surprise for my mum who was celebrate her 90th birthday. All in all a lovely experience.
