- HHerschelCentral Kentucky •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoJeff Ruby's was the perfect choice for my special birthday dinner! The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. The ambiance was elegant, setting the stage for a delightful evening. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was cooked to perfection and left us wanting more. To top off the night, we indulged in the Jordan Shoe Chocolate cake, which was a showstopper! Not only was it visually impressive, but its rich chocolate flavor made it the perfect sweet ending to our celebration. Overall, our experience at Jeff Ruby's was exceptional, making my birthday dinner truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate in style!More infoJeff Ruby's Steakhouse - LouisvillePrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Downtown Louisville•4.8

- SScottIndiana •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe always enjoy dining at Malones. The food and service are always excellent . Albeit, it was Valentine ’s Day. We made the reservation about a month in advance, noting it was a 66th anniversary. We ended up with a table by a very busy door, making it difficult for our parents to hear. I had never been seated in the very back by a busy door. Moving forward, I know what to request in seating when making a reservation.More infoMalone's - LouisvillePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• East Louisville•4.7

Discover Bardstown
Bardstown is a quasi-surreptitious suburb about 30 miles southeast of Louisville. This smaller city boasts fewer chain restaurants than its metropolitan northern neighbor, but with that comes the opportunity to visit small-town cafes or to make reservations in one of several elegant eateries seated in Victorian-style houses. In fact, the highlight of dining in this city is the atmosphere in one of these seven dining establishments, which includes an actual dinner train. The Kentucky Hot Brown is a classic dining darling that has maintained its popularity for a century. This delight is an open-faced turkey sandwich that consists of turkey, bacon, and pimientos topped with a delicate Mornay sauce. The sandwich is placed under a broiler to melt the cheese. Some variations have used either a cheese sauce or Hollandaise sauce and omitted the pimientos and been monikered the Hot Brown. It has been said that over 1,200 Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches are served each year during the Kentucky Derby!
