    A flawless experience from start to finish! My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Oak & Ember, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the high-end aesthetics. Every detail in the space is thoughtfully curated to create a warm, elegant atmosphere. The Old Fashioned was nothing short of perfection, expertly balanced and beautifully crafted. The Macaroni Au Gratin here is hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted, rich, creamy, and indulgent in all the right ways. The Steak Fritte (Hangar steak) was tender and cooked to the specific temp I requested! Absolutely excellent meal! To top it all off, Michael and the team (Taylor) went above and beyond to make our night special. They surprised us with a delicious rosé from Spain to toast our anniversary, and their kindness and hospitality truly elevated the entire experience. Oak & Ember is perfection. If you’re looking for incredible food, top-notch cocktails, and exceptional service in a refined setting, this is your place. We can’t wait to come back! Even thought we live locally, we are planning a short stay-cation at the gorgeous hotel very soon.

    We had great experience the sommelier recommended a sparkling wine that complimented the chicken I enjoyed and the catfish my husband ordered. All flavors were delicious especially the sauce on the chicken and the gnocchi! Our server was sweet, attentive and helpful. Looking forward to a return trip!

    We stayed at the Trail Hotel and had dinner at the Oak and Ember. The meal and service were fantastic! We were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary, and they gave us something special to recognize these events. I definitely recommend making reservations. It was a wonderful experience!

    Oak & Ember is a great addition to Bardstown’s lineup, and I expect it to become Bardstown’s top restaurant. The cocktails, food, and wine list rival big city restaurants, and the decorations are high end. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. I enjoyed the purple mashed potatoes, and felt that the ingredients were mindfully selected.

    This restaurant is recently opened and as expected has some improvements that could be made. The ambiance is great as well as the concept. Execution needs some work all around, but it will understandably take time to work it all out. Looking forward to experiencing how this new restaurant improves in the future. Nobody had a bad meal, but it did take a very long time to get everything, including the bread.
