Lovely, friendly staff. Excellent table in the sunshine overlooking the sea. Well cooked and interesting menu.

First time at River Cottage since the Axminster kitchen closed. Really enjoyed being back and enjoyed the food. Sad that, on a day when they didn’t look over busy, they had no kedgeree left at 11.15, especially as it also appears on the brunch/lunch menu. But the food we had was lovely and the young lady serving us was really apologetic.

Lovely cool, spacious interior. Friendly, efficient staff and good value tasty food served in good time. A children’s menu and dog friendly too. This will be my go to restaurant every time I visit Sidmouth. Thank you

A lovely pub, busy and buzzing (but in a good way) with nice seating outside or inside. The menu was interesting with some nice twists on pub classics. lunch options also available. The servers and bar staff were lovely and really went the extra mile to help Us (we had an assortment of aged relatives with us :-). The food was enjoyed , there was a small kitchen ‘oops’ , which the staff sorted out well with no fuss or bother. Lovely place and we will come again. Of note : parking across the road is £8 but keep your receipt and the pub deducts a couple of quid from yr bill to share the cost, which is fair.
