- CChristophervipGreater Boston •18 reviews5.0Dined todayDefinitely a must do when visiting SLO or for special occasion. Romantic nostalgic setting; a bit tacky; but that adds to charm & history of it. I did not see waterfall in urinal though I’ve dined here about 5-6xs…as I have no desire to go in “men’s bathroom” or view a urjnal, ever-LOL! Gift store is upstairs from restaurant—it has 2 floors & something for everyone—in addition to gifts (for urself or others) it encompasses a giant boutique style clothing, shoes & accessories!! Wonderful evening! O h& check out the bar/lounge b4 or after dinner or both & dancefloor w/live band tops it all off. If you stay @ hotel definitely try “Copper Cafe & bakery”—the cakes are “signature” one of a kind & very delicious & impressive & can be purchased in dining room; lounge; copper cafe or bakery. TIP: if ur interested in taking home a whole cake they require advance purchase so check out very informative website that gives more detail than i just did! Cant wait to go back with our adult children this Christmas Eve & maybe stay there to check out “spa & pool with outside food & bar service (for hotel/spa guests only”)!More infoAlex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steak House, at Madonna InnPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• San Luis Obispo•4.7

Portions are smaller than usual and costly BUT the food flavors and attention to detail are wonderful. Ivan our waiter from Bulgaria is knowledgeable and an outstanding person to serve. The burrata crostini with caramelized fennel is a must....Il Cortile does not disappoint....Linda G from Paso Robles....More infoIl Cortile RistorantePrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Paso Robles•4.8
- SShariCalifornia Central Coast •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMadonna Inn is a classic restaurant, noted for amazing ambience, great food and great service! The special today was Beef Stroganoff which several members of our party enjoyed. There was enough food, that most of us took home doggie bags. Our waiter, Tomas, was especially good -- he was attentive, got all orders correct, and was timely in all his responses to our needs.More infoCopper Café and Bakery, at Madonna InnPrice: Expensive• American• San Luis Obispo•4.4
- JJohnCalifornia Central Coast •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024The menu was not overwhelming, but with interesting choices. The food was excellent with perfect portions. The ambiance and layout of the restaurant made for comfortable conversation within our group. Our waitress was great with knowledge of the menu, describing the food and how it is prepared and offering suggestions when we asked. For Atascadero and SLO County, this is a very nice addition to to that "Step Above" dining experience. Don't miss checking out the outdoor Rooftop Lounge with the view of the old City Hall and Sunken Gardens.More infoCieloPrice: Expensive• Italian• Atascadero•4.5

Discover Cayucos
A quintessential central California beach town, Cayucos features both fine dining and casual dining options. Many of its more upscale restaurants feature locally grown ingredients. Likewise, seafood is fresh and harvested locally. Menu entrees include roasted salmon served with baby potatoes and wilted spinach flavored with dill. Casual dining also includes seafood options like halibut, red snapper, or the perennial fish and chips. While seafood dishes are well-represented, other options include Mexican and Italian cuisine. Can’t decide? Try a lunch burrito filled with chicken or beef with a spicy seasoning. For something different, have it filled with broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower topped with ranchero sauce. Or wait and enjoy a pasta Bolognese dinner with linguini in a red cream sauce. When it comes to food, Cayucos is a gem.
