First time going since it changed owners. Beautifully decorated. Lovely attentive staff who kept us updated on our order. Delicious food

Minoa is a beautiful restaurant with a lively ambience. There was a large group booking on the day so was a bit noisy but pleasant. The food was incredible and each dish we ordered was as good as the last. We ordered the prawn and spinach dumplings, the chicken bao, california roll, calamari, noodles with chicken, jasmine rice and lamb. The lamb was very surprising as we don't usually see lamb on a menu serving Japanese cuisine but it was our favourite dish and we still think about it! One thing that could have been better was that we ordered more than we could stomach so asked for the rice, noodles and lamb to be packed and the waitress told us they had run out of boxes. I'm not sure how that could possibly be allowed to happen in a busy restaurant and you wouldn't just order in bulk but that was very disappointing considering we left almost full bowls of food of those three dishes. The bill was quite pricey coming up to £175 so some takeaway boxes would have been appreciated. Otherwise we would definitely come back, perhaps with our own takeaway boxes next time!
