Had a great lunch of fish and chips and ice cream dessert. Service was exemplary, and also had a complimentary coffee. Will come back.

We decided to go for lunch. First of all what a lovely set of people the staff are. The man who greeted us and took our coats was friendly and funny and generally very welcoming. The young lady who served us was very attentive and again so welcoming and friendly. Given water straight off which is a lovely touch. The food was just epic. We both had the double burger and a portion of chips and we shared a small piece of pork belly, just to try it. The burger was juicy and really tasty, the chips were not just chips they were Blacklock chips. I know they are cooked in beef dripping but then they put some seasoning on which is so tasty. We ordered another portion to share, they were that good. The pork belly was also good. I would recommend and we will certainly go again. Love the decor and the feel of the place just so relaxed and comfortable. Winter Negroni cocktail was lovely as was the tap wine, a shiraz. Thanks Blacklock for delivering a great experience.

You can’t really beat Hawksmoor for a special occasion. Our birthday boy was made to feel very special and loved his birthday meal. We got great advice on both food and wine and although it’s not cheap we really felt we got great value and something a bit extra. I feel I need to mention that while the rest of my family enjoyed their steaks I don’t eat red meat, but at Hawksmoor I always have a great meal too. I usually go for fish, which they did amazingly well too, but this time I went for chicken and it was one of the tastiest chicken dishes I ever had. And I really felt I had a great choice, which is not usually true in restaurants that specialise in beef. Anyway, couldn’t recommend more.

Steak night date night was just perfect for our anniversary. They brought us 2 glasses of champagne on the house and additionally a dessert platter for our anniversary. Really thoughtful and we felt really looked after. Can’t remember our waiters name but he was great and service was amazing. Definitely going back :)
