Special shout out to the flatbreads and the beetroot dish. Would have them as my last meal on earth 🤤More infoERSTPrice: Expensive• European• Manchester•4.8

Absolutely loved the meal, the service was attentive without being overbearing and the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. Also loved the open plan of the restaurant, and being able to watch the calm order of food preparation. May be a little tough for people who are hard of hearing when the restaurant is busy given the open plan but not a problem for us; I’d really highly recommend higher ground! For lunch, we chose pea fritters with cheese; salt fish croquettes with spring onion mayo; golden beetroot with puffed quinoa, salted gooseberries and sour cream; ox cheek, tail and kidney suet pudding with red cabbage and onion gravy; and chicken with cavolo nero on a spelt porridge and finished with a cheese plate with 3 types of cheese, a rye cracker and beetroot chutney. Cost a very reasonable ~£200 including a glass of sparkling wine, a white, an orange, a red, 2 glasses of lovage kombucha, an alcohol free beer and 2 coffees.More infoHigher GroundPrice: Very Expensive• British• Manchester•4.8
- TtracyManchester/Greater Manchester •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFood was lovely as always. I went for the cheese sandwich with chicken fajita this time, it's very filling and comes with fries. On the downside, I wanted a slice of the biscoff cheesecake for dessert but all the cake based desserts were priced at £6.50 for a slice. In the current climate I personally think that these items are extortionately overpriced so I didn't order any.More infoThe Old School BBQ BusPrice: Moderate• Barbecue• Failsworth•4.7
