Went for afternoon tea & we both enjoyed the experience..nicely finished interior & attentive service..

We had lunch here today. We both chose mackerel pate for starters, which the kitchen had run out of. I chose fish and chips and my husband the risotto. Both were so delicious. My fish was fresh and superbly cooked and my husband's risotto had so much flavour. I had the apple cake gin - delicious - as was my husband's cider and separately, a ginger beer. Lovely food, nice service. Glad we booked via open table as it was heaving. Almost glad the mackerel pate had run out as both portions of our main courses were huge.

Another very enjoyable meal at the Cross Keys in Sherborne, Dorset. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the allotted table was well positioned and the food was excellent as was the house red and white wines. We shall definitely return.

A lovely, warm and friendly pub. We enjoyed a delicious lunch which was chosen from an excellent menu - spoilt for choice! Loved the play on words referring to cricket. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.
