Awesome vibe, great food and service! Top notch hospitality!!!

I had booked this for a ladies dinner but last minute my friends had to cancel. Since you need to hold the reservation with a credit card I didn’t want to give up the deposit I decided to take my two youngish kids. I was a bit concerned it was not going to be appropriate but it actually turned out great. Our waitress was attentive and “cool” and didn’t infantilize my kids - we were generally just treated like any other patrons. I think because of this my kiddos were on their best behaviour! The food was incredible - everything came out perfectly cooked and delicious interesting flavours. The favourite for me was the veal, and not surprisingly for the kids, was the pasta. I might have ruined them for any future “spaghetti” I make at home as it is really that good. All in all it was a great meal and a very intimate spot. It was a bit noisy - but that really worked in my favour and we could always hear each other. Moreso like a boisterous family gathering noisy. Some places feel like libraries and this didn’t have that vibe at all. Definitely coming back with my ladies!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Major Tom, and let me tell you—it was nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment we made our reservation to the time we walked out the door, everything screamed top-notch service and class. The staff? Absolute pros. Special shoutout to our amazing waiter, Tash, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home and patiently guided us through the menu. We trusted her recommendations blindly, and wow, did she deliver! Now, let’s talk about the food and drinks. We kicked off the evening with cocktails, and they were spot on—balanced, refreshing, and full of flavor. For the mains, we opted for pasta and steak, both of which were perfection on a plate. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and generously portioned. And the grand finale? Their signature dessert, which wasn’t just worth the hype—it exceeded it. But what truly sets Major Tom apart is its unmatched ambience. Perched on the 40th floor with jaw-dropping views of Calgary’s skyline, the restaurant doesn’t rely on the scenery alone. The interior design is equally breathtaking. The lighting, color palette, music, and even the acoustics are meticulously crafted to create a luxurious yet cozy vibe. It’s an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Major Tom is the perfect blend of elegance, flavor, and impeccable service—a true gem in Calgary’s dining scene. I had a lovely birthday celebration here with my family. When we got to the table, I was welcomed with a cute birthday card signed by the staff. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was absolutely amazing. Only downside was that we found our area to be slightly too loud in terms of crowd noise. But overall a wonderful experience. Definitely a must when in Calgary
