El Negril es una pequeña joya escondida en Brixton, y está especializado en comida jamaicana. El ambiente es intensamente caribeño, con música reggae de fondo, coloridas motas de luz en la terraza... es como ir de vacaciones en Brixton. El Negril es conocido por sus sorprendentes comidas caseras, y es uno de los primeros restaurantes en abogar por la carne criada al aire libre, los productos lácteos biológicos y el café de comercio sostenible mucho antes de volverse moda y alegato político. También elabora todos los clásicos jamaicanos, como pollo jerk, Ackee and Saltfish, cabra al curry, y uno de los mejores menús de platillos veganos, llamado Ital, con comida rastafari de Jamaica. La carta del bar es sencilla pero excelente, con cocteles, batidos, coco fresco, ponche de ron, Red Stripe, cervezas Brixton, Marley y Blue Mountain, y todos los rones jamaicanos clásicos. Su fabuloso desayuno y brunch se sirve con bandejas de fruta fresca, batidos y la galardonada salchicha Jerk, elegida salchicha del país. Nada como relajarse en el Negril.

Great members of staff all attending to us in a timely manner. Very nice intimate setting. Good food & we definitely has a feast. Only thing to improve would be longer opening hours :)

I love Negril - I've been several times and their food is authentic and really tasty. The staff are vibrant and welcoming too :)

I have been here on previous occasions and have been really happy with the food, but this last visit was really disappointing as I had invited my to friends and one of them sent their main meal back without eating it. When I looked in the kitchen I noticed the older gentleman who used to be there was not. He made a mean ackee and salt fish. But alas he was not there and the meal was very disappointed

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We are pretty new to try Carabian food but we did enjoy our dishes. Nice wine and good food... It was warth to make a long journey from north of London to south London.

I was unable to attend but the staff were wonderfully helpful in amending the booking so that my friends could still go. They had an amazing time and they want to go back so looks like I won't miss out after all.

What a lovely restaurant - relaxed, engaging and friendly staff, and a great selection of delicious eats. Three of us opted for stew/curry options from the Ital menu while the fourth chose the goat curry - all were delicious, healthy and very good value.
