Discover Lemont

Lemont is a village located along the Des Plaines River, close to the Hindu Temple, and adjacent to Waterfall Glen that has 2,492 acres of natural habitat. This suburb of Chicago is well known for being the home to many Indian restaurants that offer dishes such as tandoori chicken, lamb kebab, and naan. There are also many Polish restaurants in this neighborhood. You could try a bowl of mizeria to begin, followed by an entree of zrazy with boiled potatoes. Bakeries and coffee shops abound in this community, and you could try some of the ethnic pastries, like sernik flavored with lemon or orange peel, kremówka, or makowiec, and pair these treats with Irish coffee, hot tea, or mulled apple cider.
