Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    Wagyu Chateaubriand was so tender it melted in my mouth. Server Abigail was fun and excellent at her job. Overall fantastic first Murray’s experience. Would go back again tomorrow if my wallet could afford it.

    My wife and I have come to expect a wonderful meal whenever we dine at Murray's. Our dinner Saturday was exceptional. We sat in a comfortable booth, enjoyed a bottle of our favorite wine, enjoyed a delicious meal and our server, Emily was fantastic!

    First, Joey our host took excentlent care of us and made the night fun with an excellent sense of humor. Second, the butter knife steak is truly one of the best and yes you can cut with a butter knife. The only issue that needs a solution is parking. The hotel next door takes up all the space to allow you drop off your car for parking. Lucky the gentlment handleing it took care of us and was very understanding and professional. Highly recommend dinning and must have the butter knife steak.

    Service was slow. Food was just ok for the price. Overcooked green beans and baked potato. Limited by the glass wine options. Very average. Not the same Murray’s it once was.
