First time in New Orleans and decided to reserve a nice dinner with the friends. The restaurant was very accommodating when we called to tell them we were running late and worked with us to give us a new reservation time. The ambience was perfect, food was amazing and service was great! Arlene was our server and she was so friendly! She came by enough to make sure we were never missing anything, but also enough that we never felt like it was too much. The six of us all had the Wood Grilled Beef of Fillet and no one had a single complaint! It was delicious!
Awesome food ambiance and staff!!, The best in Nola!!!
Went to dinner for Coolinary. Great choices including gluten-free options that are labeled. 2 in our dinner party greatly appreciated that. Food is delicious and plenty of space to enjoy. Highly recommend
Our server was wonderful and the food was even better.
The food and service were great. The outdoor seating was just ok. Our table was more the size of an end table. Overall, it was very nice.
The food service was just what we thought it would be.
A classic and historic place full of pictures and furniture
Travis and Michelle were wonderful servers! Our grilled filet was terrific and the shrimp crépes were so delicious!
Beautiful restaurant and ambiance.
Very nice dinner! Our waiter was very nice and helpful in many ways. Parking in the hotel next door made for easy parking (which Muriels validates!) Right next door to the Cathedral which makes for great photo ops. Highly recommended dining here!
Always lovely. Even with the social distancing of today’s life, they’ve managed to keep their New Orleans ambience.
The food was amazing & our server Dara was absolutely fantastic!
BUT-when we were there on Saturday night, there was a large party of about 10 to 12 adults sitting a couple tables over from us. They we’re playing Salsa music from one of there cell phones VERY loudly and completely ruined our experience for a nice quiet dinner in a beautiful historic building.
We watched as numerous servers and management walked past the table but nobody said a thing to them. It was very disrespectful to all the other patrons in the room & extremely rude of the other guest.
Disappointed that the problem was not handled, but ignored by the staff.
Food was wonderful, plenty of food and delicious. Just sad that so few tables were filled because of the pandemic. I guess good for us since it reduced exposure but bad for the restaurant because of business. Muriel's is a reliable favorite.
We eat and travel all over the world.. pre covid🤪. This had to be in the top 5 meals we have ever had!!! The shrimp and grits were something I can’t even put into words. My son had the pork chop and I have to say it was the beat pork chop I have ever tasted. My hubby had the seafood stew and it was gone before I could even taste it😂!! The bread pudding is something that should be illegal it was so good!!! We will be back for sure on our next time into town. Mark our server was also amazing! This was all around totally amazing!!!!!
Excellent food and atmosphere! Would definitely recommend.
The atmosphere was great. The food service was amazing. Great waiter staff, great attention to detail.
My husband and I are from New Orleans and decided to have a staycation and support our local restaurants. Muriel's did not disappoint. Food and service excellent as always. Beautiful screens were placed in between tables for social distancing.
Great restaurant with a passion for the business.
Everything neat and beautifully socially distanced from other parties
We felt safe with appropriate social distancing, staff face masks and dividers between our table and others. Our waiter was helpful ,professional and friendly. The food was exceptional. Altogether our best meal on this trip to New Orleans.
During these unprecedented times, Muriel's is going above and beyond to ensure customer and staff safety. Not only did they take our temperatures upon arrival but they also spaced tables more than 20 feet apart and had dividers between them. The food and service were outstanding and made a pandemic birthday celebration very nice. Thank you to the staff at Muriel's.
The food, the drinks, the ambience and the waiter made this night exceptional. Chef’s kiss!
Food was amazing, service impeccable and ambiance was so fitting to history of the restaurant.
Excellent food, service, atmosphere and prices. Will be back
Great food, staff, service and atmosphere!!
Had a great time!
Top notch service from beginning to end. The food was delicious; I highly recommend their shrimp & geitd
Beautiful setting, incredible food and excellent service.
Muriels is very expensive for the quality of food. The Dinner Menu, while small now, has choices for everyone. Unfortunately, when your food does come it will be luke warm at best. The drinks arrived quickly and were good; The drink prices were on par with the rest of the FQ. For $192 w/tip it was most definitely not worth the trip for the food alone for 3 people. There are better choices in the FQ.
I should mention the service. The service was however outstanding, and the other staff friendly and attentive. The food itself was the only let down, which is the main reason one goes to a restaurant!
The whole experience was great! There were 4 of us in our party and we all tried different things and no one walked away disappointed!
Great restaurant. Menus limited due to Covid. Service was really good. Highly recommend!
We came here to celebrate our anniversary in New Orleans with our 4 kids, and we were treated extremely well. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious! We really enjoyed the table set for the ghost and the seance lounge. The atmosphere was beautiful; we sat in the courtyard area, but we toured the whole place. Sanitation procedures during the pandemic are up to par. Our waitress even brought out 2 special desserts as a surprise to us for our anniversary, and they were amazing!! And the kids were happy with their coloring pages and crayons. Highly recommend Muriel’s!
We came here on our first night as homeowners in New Orleans, a few weeks after restaurants started to reopen after the Covid-19 lockdown. We encountered only kind people, careful procedures, and great food. Come here, and spend and tip generously.
Everything was great!
The way they have added separation between tables for safety is elegant and blends with the ambiance! Service was amazing! Food was decadent! The kids enjoyed a little ghost hunting upstairs!
Awesome atmosphere and location. Went during covid so not many people. Employees and customers wear masks and take temp when entering so very health conscious. Food is very good. Appetizers and soups are better than the entrees.
Crepe appitizer was fantastic. Wish the speckled trout had the same sauce that was on the crepe entree. Service is excellent.
We had our best meal at this restaurant during our stay in New Orleans. The food and service were outstanding. Not only that, of all the places we ate at, this restaurant went over and beyond all the ones we went to in regards to safety in regards to Covid. They took our temperatures upon arrival and there were hand sanitizers at the hostess desk. They also had this wall art that hung from the ceilings that acted as barriers that separated our table from the next one. To top it off, they even gave us little packets of liquid hand sanitizers with our check. We highly recommend Muriel's at Jackson Square as THE place to have a meal. It was that good.
The food and service was excellent
Excellent food and dining.
Excellent service, excellent food while overlooking Jackson square
The menu provided on Open Table was accurate, and understandably due to COVID, was limited. Looking forward to the day they can roll their extended menu back out.
Beautiful view of Jackson Square. Dinner menu seemed abbreviated, but everything was delicious! Strongly recommend for multiple reasons: 1. Exceptional service and attention to detail while following CDC guidelines (wait staff always masked, minimal contact with customers while still staying attentive to guests' needs), 2. Addition of screens between tables at windows were attractive and practical for social distancing, adding the overall feeling of consideration to guests' health, 3. Lovely atmosphere inside the restaurant -- with just the right balance between safety and an enjoyable meal, and 4. Beautiful plating and quality ingredients made for an exceptional meal. I've visited Muriel's on a few other occasions and appreciated the dining experience, and this time seemed "different" due to protocols (not in a bad way), but still noteworthy and enjoyable.
