Birthday celebration and everything was PERFECT!
Whether two or ten, Muriel’s is always great!
Food was amazing!! Place setting was impeccable!! Will definitely revisit.
Incredible experience! The food was AMAZING, and the service couldn't have been better. Will definitely be coming back every time we visit New Orleans
Just the history of the place
Our brunch was wonderful. The service was impeccable and the food was fabulous. Make sure that you don't sit too near the jazz bank if you want to talk on Sunday morning. They are very good, however; the clarinet is loud when it is beside you. If you go this month take advantage of the specials. The poached eggs on shrimp cakes were out of this world good!! And the bread pudding....yum!!!
Geat Sunday brunch with live music. We had the crab cakes, seafood gumbo, meal and pork chop. All good solid choices. We finished our brunch with the Careot cake ice cream sandwich.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our servers were attentive and kind without being obtrusive. The drinks were delivered quickly as well as the first course. There was appropriate breathing time between courses. The dining room was full but people were respectful of the venue and the noise level was low. My dinner was absolutely divine. I had the double cut pork with sweet potato as an entree, the gorgonzola cheesecake as a starter and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Each course was delicious. An absolute 5 star experience.
The food was yummy and our server Philip was great. We had the 3 courses and every course was delicious. I’ll definitely be back again.
One of the best meals ever!! I did the 3 course menu. I choose the shrimp and goat cheese crepes, shrimp and grits and creme brûlée. Amazing!! Service was wonderful as well. A must for bringing out of state guests!!
Loved this place! The food is sooooo much better than the over-priced tourist trap I ate at last night. Best Creme Brulee I've eaten in a long time ❤️ Wish I'd discovered Muriel's sooner, will definitely be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We dined at Muriel’s for the first time and it will not be our last. We were in for a special treat since the restraint features its COOLinary menu. Everything we tasted was outstanding, the servers were professional and knowledgeable, and the restaurant was very welcoming. Can wait to come back on future trips to NOLA!
This is a great place for both lunch and dinner; this year it was dinner. The roasted beet salad is always a treat because it is so very unique. It is spring greens in a delicate dressing with golden beets, yum! We enjoyed the double cut pork chop which was grilled and very tender. The gulf fish was two filets, small, but when you are saving room for dessert, of no consequence there. It was done in a lemon butter sauce and quite good. The carrot cake ice cream sandwich missed its mark on two counts. The first was that the carrot cake was stale in texture, thereby adding nothing to the dish. The second was that the vanilla ice cream was bland. A quick fix for this dessert would be an extra egg in the cake batter and use cinnamon ice cream to add flavor that is lost in the freezing of the cake.
I loved the location (adjacent to Jackson Square), the ambiance, the FOOD and the service! We will be returning very soon!!!
A consistent good value that always features fantastic ambience and high quality food with great pairings of flavors and an excellent wine list.
Lots of great choices in New Orleans and Muriel's never lets us down.
food And the service Were phenomenal Everything was reasonably priced and cooked to perfection
Had an early dinner that was wonderful. The turtle soup was delicious as was the double pork chop. the flourless chocolate cake was tasty and just moist enough. We were with old friends and the noise level was just right for us to be able to converse without effort. We always go to Muriel's in August during Coolinary and expect to do so for many years to come. The value and food can't be beat.
Awesome restaurant, service was amazing, would highly recommend
Really brilliant meal at Muriels - fabulous value and the food was outstanding. The shrimp and goats cheese pancakes, and baby drum especially.
Best gnocchi I ever had in my life. Eggs Benedict and the rest of the menu was amazing.
Great place for Sunday Jazz brunch! Staff is friendly and efficient, food and drinks are delicious, and jazz trio was talented!
We had a Sunday jazz brunch with a visit to the seance room. It was fabulous, every single moment was outstanding!
It's a special place, great food and "spirits"! I highly recommend to my friends and family.
Great dinner and service! Restaurant was buzzing, likely due to the Red Dress Run being held that day, and we enjoyed the vibe. We each chose the prix fixe menu and each course was delicious. Unfortunately we didn't see any ghosts.
Our food was just not good; very disappointing after all of the hype we heard. Service was excellent and the ambiance is nice. Will not return.
Wonderful Coolinary menu . Great service . Nice experience . Great cocktails from Jessica!
Muriel's was recommended for visiting on my first trip to New Orleans. I wanted to experience the different food offered. I was not disappointed with Muriel's. Not only was the food and atmosphere above my expectations the location puts it in the center of the downtown nightlife.
I always have the pork chop, however wanted to try the chicken, and I have a new favorite! Also tried the saints and sinners dessert to share and it was amazing- too much to share!
It was absolutely fabulous. Sunday brunch was on point. I'd like to thank the staff and managment for accommodating us on such short notice.
Fun place to eat brunch on Sunday. Busy was good fast service and delicious food.
We had the best time ! Most amazing food and atmosphere! So happy with our choice to do jazz brunch there
Busy must eat at restaurant with fresh solid food. Spectacular?, not so much. I would rate it better than average but not a repeat for me.
Great experience, everything was top notch. The service was outstanding and you can't beat the ambiance.
Everything about this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. I recommend anyone that is visiting New Orleans to stop by. Thank you Terance and Jason for the great service.
My husband and I chose Muriels to celebrate our anniversary and we were not disappointed! Beautiful historical building, please take the time to walk it and take it all in. Don't miss the upstairs. We decided to order the 3 course tasting menu, each choosing a different appetizer, entree, and dessert in order to try an assortment and found it all delicious, as well as very reasonably priced! You must have the goat cheese crepes, the shrimp and grits, and bread pudding while there. Heavenly! I also had a delicious cocktail, called Honey Child. The staff was outstanding, very attentive and willing to assist in anyway, whether it was sharing about the history of the building or taking photos. We will definitely return!
Unique preparations, beautiful decor and attentive service.
We love Muriels and always try to eat there when in NOLA. It is a nice break from all the sticky tables and loud eating places in the city. The atmosphere is wonderful especially for a special occations. We did notice that some of the patrons did not follow a dress code and that was a little disappointing. The food was wonderful as always and the service was impeccable.
Loved everything about it! The location the ambience, food. Enjoyed going upstairs to see the seance rooms and table set for the resident ghost!
Great food, great atmosphere! Host showed us the entire restaurant. Very cool history. Nice ghost too!
So great and classy. Had the seafood gumbo, duck confit jambalaya, shrimp and grits (the best), and the chocolate cake for dessert. Upscale vibes with historical nuances. Friendly waitstaff. Lovely dinner!
