Wonderful experience all around!
Overpriced restaurant for food quality and taste
Amazing food and service, very good location.
The service was excellent and the food well prepared. The staff was helpful and friendly.
A great place! Heard about it on a ghost tour and also saw that the food looked great. Awesome food, great service
Service was excellent. Took server recommendations and every bite was delicious!
Very accommodating, great service staff, great food!!
Amazing food and venue!
Rushed service, tourist trap
Must do restaurant when in New Orleans. Great location and fantastic food & service
Great food and great atmosphere! Everything was incredible
Muriels is still one of the best places in New Orleans to share a experience with your special someone. Food and service always outstanding.
Since COVID everyone seems to be having issues with service. Service at Muriel's was terrible. There were 3 different people who had introduced themselves as our servers. The first informed us it was her first night and she was in training. We are foodies and understanding but 3 people should have been able to take care of us somewhat. Food was awesome and we did the prix fixe courses. Service unfortunately ruined the experience for us. Hope they can get more help.
We were seated at a lovely corner table, which was artfully and tastefully separated from the next table by decorated room dividers. The service was professional, warm and friendly, the wine delicious, and the food amazing. We did ask the young water-in-training which of the chardonnays were buttery; he replied, "All of them," which was not really accurate. (The least expensive, Pebble Lane, by the way, was far more buttery than the most expensive by-the-glass offering.)
Yes, the Wood grilled double cut Pork Chop is what they claim: gererously portioned, moist, satisfying. Same for the Blackened Redfish, and the accompanying sides.
After dinner, we made our way to the balcony with our libations and took in the parade celebrating Joan of Arc's birthday.
Do not miss this restaurant!
As classy as this establishment is I was a bit disappointed with the mens room. Cleanliness was OK but they need to be rehabbed/reconditioned…
Delicious food. Great service. Just wish we had seen the ghost
Amazing food and great service! Best salmon I’ve ever had.
The restaurant was nice it was as if they didn’t want us to dine there the hostess was the main issue. She was very rude and not very personable which set off the entire chain of events. This was our second time dining at this restaurant and our first experience was great. I don’t know what the problem was but it was a very dismal dining experience.
Kudos to everyone working FOH and the BOH in these trying times!
We had a perfect experience at Muriel's. Staff was efficient. The meal was perfect from start to finish with very little wait between courses. The wait staff was super friendly despite our odd group. I highly recommend.
One of the truly best restaurants in New Orleans! We have NEVER been disappointed by the amazing staff and delicious food!!!!
Service was amazing and the food was great as usual! The goat cheese crepes and the boudain egg rolls were spectacular.
Very nice meal on New Year’s Day before the Sugar Bowl!
Granted, we were here for New Years Eve so a huge grain of salt!
We booked the latest seating and I was shocked when were hustled out in less than 90 minutes. We were ready to buy another round, coffees (prix-fixe menu precluded the need for dessert). I totally understand staff has to do what they are told but the effect was jarring and came off as very rude.
However! It’s historic, the food is good enough and dining out on a holiday comes with challenges. Maybe perfect for someone less inclined to order more and linger?
This was our fourth or fifth time we have had New Years Eve dinner at Muriel’s. We have always had great experiences until this year. Our primary server was basically nasty. Our server who took our drink and wine orders was terrific. But our primary server wanted us to order dinner before we even got our first drink order. When we told her we needed time, she made a face at us. Come on! It isn’t like the restaurant was going to turn the table. And, she once we ordered, she did not check back to see how our food was - and, of course, one of us ordered a medium rare filet and it was beyond well done. NOT NICE!
Enjoyed a lovely New Years Eve dinner a Muriel’s. The staff was so nice, helpful and accommodating. The food and drinks were perfect for a celebration!
Celebrated our after elopement dinner here! Everything was wonderful! Will definitely return
Outstanding restaurant and staff. The ambiance of the restaurant is truly special. We enjoyed our experience, and can’t wait to return!!!
We were in town for the Sugar Bowl, and the only time we could get was 4:00pm. The meals and service were both excellent— which you don’t always find these days on a regular day, let alone on NYE. This was our 3rd visit to Muriel’s over the years and it is always good! Glad to know the pandemic didn’t change this!
Great food in a wonderful environment. Convenient location.
Always a great experience. The food and the service were top notch again!
My wife and I were in town for a 3 day New Year’s weekend. We ate at Muriel’s as our splurge meal. We had a 5pm reservation on 12-30 since the plaza was booked solid for New Year’s Eve. Our waiter, Chad was very attentive and responsive to our needs. My wife had the Crispy Salmon with green beans while I had Shrimp & Grits. Both were hot and very tasty. Our only complaint was that there wasn’t enough food to be totally satisfying. Another side dish option would have been welcomed.
The ambiance was pleasant. They earned bonus points for asking to see our COVID vaccination cards as we entered. My wife also was able to get a half priced cocktail at the last few minutes of happy hour ending at 5pm
Enjoyed our dinner. Excellent service. Looking forward to our next visit
We had a great family dinner. The double pork chop and redfish was delightful.
This was our second visit to Muriel’s and it did not disappoint. We dined there two months ago and wanted to share it with our children over the holidays. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food was absolutely fabulous. We highly recommend the pecan praline bread pudding! Great, fun atmosphere and service. A must if you are in the French Quarter.
We are at a lot of excellent restaurants in New Orleans and all six in our group thought this was the best meal. The shrimp and grits, pork chop, and red fish were out of this world.
We had a wonder experience at Muriel’s. Lydia and Travis did an excellent job making us feel welcome and were very helpful with navigating the menu. Highly recommend checking this place out! Food and drinks were delicious!! Also, after your meal, definitely come up to the balcony with after dinner cocktails to really ring in the evening. Beautiful view of Jackson Square!
We got married in Jackson Square and are back for our 10 year anniversary. The redfish and the pork chop were DELICIOUS. My husband is a huge bread pudding fan and loved your bread pudding. The duck confit salad was also amazing. Thank you for a great meal!
Excellent all around - onion tart and bread pudding especially!
