Worth the experience, even though our service was poor. I understand it was Father's Day, but the dining room was only 1/3 full and 2 servers were assigned to each table. We were offered water and then it took 20 minutes to place a drink order. By then, we were ready to order everything but the server took only the drink order. 25 mins later, drinks arrived and we ordered. We also had to request the empty plates and glasses be removed from the table as they were mounting and we had no room for our our entries and refills. Food was impeccable and there is nothing like the ambiance at Muriels.
Love this place! Visiting from Orlando, FL and chose this place for my birthday dinner celebration with the family. Was not disappointed. Everything was amazing from the appetizer to the dessert. I got the 3 course meal offered and it was just plain delicious. Ate every bite. Sad that I don’t live here and will have to wait until next visit to NOLA to go back.
Always a wonderful experience. The 3 course meal is a great value for the quality of food and the service is top notch. The pork chop is fantastic!
As always a wonderful experience.
We went for an anniversary brunch. They had a semi-private table available for us, which was nice. The food was delicious and our servers were prompt and friendly. We will definitely be back!
We actually had 3 servers. They were all lovely. Fabulous food and wonderful service. Thank you!!
The tourists have finally discovered Muriel’s, so it’s time to move elsewhere. The table where we were initially sat was in a noisy room right next to the host stand. We asked to move to a different room (where they don’t shove the tourists). The manager was curt and moved us to another table in the same room. The room got louder and louder and by the end of our meal, we were pretty irritated. Food was pleasant, and the service staff superlative as always. That said, it’s become too much of a production to get into the Quarter to be treated like a tourist when Muriel’s is in our regular rotation. It was lovely for a long time, and it appears to have gone the way of Antoines and Galatoires.
Amazing experience and even though they didn’t do things for birthday’s when I asked, they put together a dessert with a candle for my friend! It was greatly appreciated and the food was delicious. Great service as well
Great staff, delicious food, vibrant atmosphere. Dress up or down and enjoy yourselves!
We had a wonderful experience at Muriel’s. We choose the restaurant based on the positive reviews as a child friendly location. We were not disappointed. In addition to the food being excellent, the service we received, especially towards our children, was outstanding. I would highly recommend if you want a fantastic meal with excellent service.
Covid friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. Excellent service and food
One of the better meals we had in New Orleans. Somewhat overpriced, but all are in the French Quarter.
Lovely building and the food was great. Order the Onion Tart!
Our favorite dinner in New Orleans. Travis was awesome.
Local gem provides exceptional service.
Muriel’s was a delightful restaurant with a fun atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was superb. A bonus is the seance room upstairs as well as the table set for the former owner. All around a great experience.
Loved it! We had such a fun time. Wait staff was great
Loved the food and bread pudding is amazing!! Make sure to see the ghost table and go upstairs to see the residence and séance room.
Wonderful hospitality and food. We hope to be back someday on another vacation.
Absolutely amazing!! Nothing more to say!! Just go!
One of favorite places to eat in New Orleans!
Great cocktails, excellent wine selection and delicious food. Beautifully presented and nicely prepared. Staff was attentive but not intrusive
Outstanding food and service! Great location near Jackson Square.
Great food and attentive staff.
Amazing as always. My speckled trout was out of this world and the bread pudding is heavenly.
Great food and service! I would highly recommend anyone in New Orleans trying!!!
The ambiance was fabulous and the tour of the restaurant from the owner made my birthday special! Shrimp and grits are a must!
This was one of our best brunches in New Orleans. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
our reservation was at 9pm, but the restaurant was very noisy, if you want to take a date there, just font, it's not romantic having to shout to listen to each other....
also, it's suppose to be casual smart, we made an effort, but we saw people with t-shirt and shorts, that ruined the ambiance...
food was OK, not spectacular, service was mediocre, our waiter kept bringing the wrong food and drinks to our table, and ignore us most of the time. we asked for more cocktails and she never brought us, and charged us at the end, we needed to have the bill amended. Also everything felt a bit rushed. there's so many good restaurants in NOLA, this one does not deserve the hype.
Great food, drinks, and service. The location made it easy to get to and the building is wonderful.
Food was delicious. Best we had the entire trip!
They were right on time with our reservation. Good service with great drinks and food. However, little confusing about who our server was and who was assisting. Overall fun experience and would certainly go again.
Food was good. Staff was great.
As normal the food and service were outstanding. Drinks were well crafted and delicious. Will be back
We reserved a table for our anniversary. They surrounded us with large group loud families. The crawfish crepes were excellent; the rest of the meal was not. They acknowledged our anniversary with a single small scoop of ice cream served with a birthday candle. We were not allowed to look at the seance room because there was a reservation scheduled twenties minutes later. This is not fine dining. The dress code is a joke. It is a tourist trap.
We spent four days in NoLA, out of all the places we ate, Muriel’s was by far the best! I highly suggest! The shrimp and grits, crawfish crepes, crab dip, were all amazing. The staff was excellent!
The food was very good. Definitely try the pork chop, crepe appetizer or shrimp and grits. Great value on the 3 course meal option. Also, make sure to visit the Red Room upstairs.
Service was great, the only reason I gave it a 4 is that my husband did not care for his pork chop it was overcooked. I had fish, it was delicious. Bread pudding excellent.
We were there that evening celebrating our wedding anniversary and it was just as good that night as it was ten years ago to the date. We would highly recommend Muriel's for any occasion. Thanks Les & Sue Hill
