Food and service
One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans.
Kudos and thanks to Muriel’s for being open the Saturday night of tropical storm Barry. We are a local group of French Quarter and a Marigny guys who were celebrating a friends birthday and needed to get out after a crazy week.
Great food, service, and highly recommended.
Superb meal, outstanding service!!!! Every detail was covered and the food had great flavor depth and perfect serving temperature.
Great location, great service and amazing food. A place to go back!
Muriel's menu provides a variety of dishes that highlight New Orleans flavors. The atmosphere is elegant but not pretentious. I particularly enjoy bringing out of town guest here.
We love Muriel’s and the history of the restaurant. I normally eat steak at white table cloth restaurants but I tried the blackened redfish with lump crab meat. It was incredible.
Excellent! Can’t wait to return. The wait staff was attentive, had great advice and the food was exceptional.
Great food and service
The service and food was excellant. First time in New Orleans n highly enjoyed it
Their shrimp and goat cheese crepes is one of my favorite dishes. I went for brunch/lunch this time but their dinner is excellent as well.
Beautiful building in an awesome location. We sat at the bar before dinner where our bartender told us about the building's resident ghosts - very interesting. At dinner, April & Kendall took excellent care of us with great suggestions from the menu. The goat cheese crepes were amazing. Would 10/10 go back!
Quintessential New Orleans! The classic dishes of NOLA cuisine done in an authentic but elevated manner. Great location and ambiance.
Excellent dining experience! Our favorite!
We really enjoyed our food and the gallery.
Service started out fantastic but when they
Got busy we seemed to be the forgotten table.
Brief stop in town, very pleased with our evening
Visiting from Miami. Food and service were excellent and beautiful ambience
Muriel's on Jackson Square was the best choice for dinner that I made while visiting New Orleans. This dinner was a double birthday dinner for my two dear friends. They LOVED their dinner. They loved the ambiance. They are planning a return trip very soon! Thank you to our servers they were great; they were there without hovering. And the chefs in that kitchen! Y'all did the damn thang!! YUM!
Beautiful restaurant and great service. Came here with my boyfriend for lunch/ brunch. Our favorite dishes were the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Duck & Chaurice Hash. Would definitely come back for these!
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, very good food, but no ambiance as we were the only table in our dining room. Pity.
Great food, friendly service! Loved the ghost tour for the kids.
Muriel’s was an amazing experience. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was outstanding. We loved the goat cheese crepes and the fried green tomatoes. Our entrees were delicious and desserts, sublime.
Muriel's has been a favorite brunch stop for us when in NOLA and this was the first time we tried dinner. We were not disappointed and once again enjoyed the best service and food which we have become accustomed to expect. The lemon butter sauce with the baby drum was exceptional.
I was one of the first people dining after the restaurant opened. My dish (eggs veney) was one of the first to come out of the kitchen. And it was served cold. How do you serve ANY dish cold, let alone one of the first dishes the kitchen even has to make?? How long was it sitting out? The place was NOT crowded either, which probably should have been a sign that it wasn’t good. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for brunch instead. I deeply regret choosing Muriel’s for my ONE brunch in New Orleans and not Brennan’s or something.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The food is always very good. The Jazz Brunch has the best music.
We truly loved having Sunday Brunch at Muriel's. The food was delicious with each dish having a unique twist to many favorites. Our drink server and head server took very good care of us and engaged us in conversation. They checked in on us and made sure we were happy. My wife, daughter, and I loved that a jazz trio played in our dining room for over 20 minutes - the perfect amount of entertainment at the right volume. Two words - bread pudding! Even if you are full, ORDER this desert! The location on Jackson Square is perfect. We will be dining here again soon!
Seated right away, great corner table, excellent service and food to match!
Wonderful meal, service was professional and warm
Very good service. The soup and salad were very good. I got the soft shell crab with Cajun tomato that they say is only grown on a certain part of the Mississippi River with a unique flavor. It was superb. The sauce had a wonderful smoky flavor. Creme’ brûlée’s was dessert and was excellent. The drum was good but over powered by the number pecans. I can’t believe that is possible but it was.
50th Anniversary party for my parents. Amazing always. My brother a wedding was here as well. My family has had many a wonderful family occasions here.
Muriel's is located in an old building just off Jackson Square; we learned the next evening on a Haunted History tour and there is a resident spirit who likes to hang out near the table where we were seated! Service was excellent and gracious, and we enjoyed two salads (Muriel's House Salad and Baby Spinach Salad) with cocktails. As entrees, we both enjoyed Shrimp & Gnocchi appetizers, which had plenty of food for moderate appetites. The Gnocchi in this dish were square, and the overall dish was very tasty. We shared a Carrot Cake Ice Cream Sandwich, and I enjoyed a Salted Caramel martini for dessert.
Be sure to check out the very creative interior handle in the women's restroom!
Fantastic experience with fantastic food. I went with my girlfriend right before getting engaged and she said yes so... I guess it really was the best place to go. We both loved it so much and the staff was super helpful and readily answered any questions regarding how to eat certain items and what something was that I wasn’t sure. If I was rich, I would definitely go again.
Muriel’s is my favorite restaurant in the French Quarter and always my go to place when coming to New Orleans. This year I spent my birthday dinner at Muriel’s and as usual it was wonderful. All four of my family ordered different things and each was wonderful. After dinner we enjoyed a drink on the balcony upstairs and watched the people go by on the Square. It was a memorable birthday experience for me and I highly recommend it.
Impeccable service and delicious food...how could you go wrong? Fabulous evening!
Very pleasant lunch on a Monday. Lots of tourists in the French Quarter but the restaurant was not overly crowded. Service was prompt but not rushed. Nice low priced lunch martinis paired with delicious salads made for an enjoyable time.
Wonderful!! Goat cheese crawfish crepes!!!!!
Awesome dining experience.
