Tables near us were way too loud we couldn’t have a conversation. The waiters were not attentive and it took incredibly long for drink refills. We have been here a few times and this was the worst experience we have had. Probably won’t be back.
For an up scale dining establishment, disappointed with the extremely casual dress code allowed. Service was only OK, i.e. I had to ask for a fork twice; my wife's wine was delivered almost at the end of her meal (and the restaurant was not too busy). Food was very good
So good, fantastic seevice. We went back 3 times
For dinner, then lunch then back with kids for late night drinks and dessert
The food was amazing!!! The service was good as well. You simply have to try the Gun Fizz!
Amazing!! The staff was so enjoyable and made the experience even better. You MUST order the crawfish crepes!!
Food was pretty good overall. Service was great; water was constantly refilled, waiters were attentive, and they offered good wine pairings. The ambiance is good; muted lights, warm red walls in the room we were in, interesting decor. Food, however, was hit or miss. Shrimp and grits, crawfish crepes, salad, and redfish were really good. Their take on fried green tomatoes was ok. Scallops w/risotto were served lukewarm/cool which wasn't appetizing. Bread pudding left much to be desired. Overall, 4 stars.
Service was very slow and indifferent. Kitchen must have had a rough night as many orders were delayed. Food was excellent when it arrived. Even the crawfish and goat cheese crepes. Which arrived only slightly warm. I would go back but not very soon. They were really struggling and it was only a Tuesday night!
Delicious and amazing food. Courteous and friendly staff.
Great buzzy atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. Food good but over salty.A little overpriced for the standard of food and service.Bill slammed on table before we were even asked if we wanted a coffee-so didn’t bother!
My favorite restaurant in New Orleans! The goat cheese crepes never disappoint and all of the food is delicious. The restaurant also has a great history!
The food was ok. The sauce on the drum dish was sweet. Which on fish is not great. The sweet potatoes were just sweet potatoes with nothing added. The service was aloof and non attentive. It was definitely hurry up give us your $ and get out type of experience. The check was dropped off with dessert. We got the hint and we won’t be back.
We were looking for a lovely dining experience and found exactly that at Muriels! RJ and Sarah took great care of us. We will recommend this restaurant.
Great food and even better service! 10/10 recommend.
A perfect Sunday Jazz Brunch for a rainy day and in New Orleans. The setting was lovely, southern eclectic with a touch regal. The service was outstanding, we had two servers and there seemed to be many people making sure we were happy and well fed yet no one hovered.
The food was so savory and beautifully served. More than ample portions. We got the prix fixed as we considered this our meal for the day. The soups were delicious, flavorful and served with class. I had the tomato and crab soup with a touch of Crete fresh. My daughter got the shrimp gumbo. The oyster and egg breakfast with hollandaise sauce. The white chocolate bread pudding with caramel sauce was heavenly. Surprisingly not too sweet.
The jazz trio was excellent. They moved from room to room with 20 minute sets, enjoyable and also allowed talking time.
I highly recommend.
Muriel’s Jackson Square was amazing. The service was impeccable. The food was also amazing. My fave was the white chocolate bread pudding. I definitely will go back. Loved the jazz trio as well
Excellent food and extremely fast and attentive service
Excellent place for brunch. Great service and great food
Fabulous food. I came here on a whim from out of town and was blown away by how good this place was.
Definitely would go here again next time I come to New Orleans.
GREAT, BUT VERY LOUD. DO NOT ORDER STEAK MED WELL DONE AND EXPECT IT TO BE MEDIUM.
Muriel’s is amazing! It was hands down the BEST restaurant I went to in New Orleans during my 5 day stay. I would highly recommend to all! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to NoLa!
We made reservations on line on the same day we ate there. The service was prompt and professional. We don’t like our wait staff to hover and we never felt that they did, but they were quick to keep our glasses filled and our tableware removed promptly. The food was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious.
I loved this place. Great menu and excellent drinks and desserts. We ate in the red room and it wa very loud which is why I have given 4s in a couple areas. We could barely hear each other talk. And it was also too cold. Other than that, it’s a phenomenal restaurant with great food. I had a lovely beet salad and vegetable curry. So good! My friend had the fried green tomatos and the gumbo. She liked it a lot. I’d go back for sure.
Friendly service and great atmosphere, but sad to say no ghosts were spotted!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Muriel’s. The food was very good
Just an ok restaurant in busy NOLA. Nothing about it was special.
Our food was excellent. The service was slower than we expected especially towards the end of the meal. The noise level was really high making conversation difficult.
Food was great, as usual. But service was very slow and a bit inattentive, particularly in light of the price we paid.
Service and ambiance were great. But the corn and crab chowder was underwhelming and maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of crab. From previous excellent visits, I expected more and was disappointed.
My only complaint is that we felt rushed. I would have preferred. 10-15min break between appetizers/dinner/dessert. We ate so fast I couldn’t finish!
Fun place with a great story! The food was wonderful and the staff delightful!
Wonderful meal, best we had in 5 days in New Orleans, which is saying something.
Wonderful food and waitstaff was extremely knowledgable and attentive. One of my favorites in New Orleans for sure!
They did run out of one dessert we ordered. We enjoyed showing the upstairs rooms to a guest. The food was coked as we ordered it with some special instructions. The only problem was the limited choices for someone allergic to shellfish.
We went on Mother’s Day and the only issue we had was that our food wasn’t hot, it was lukewarm. We also saw them handing out roses to all the guests who were Mothers but we weren’t offered any.
We enjoyed our experience at Muriels. The food was delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans! The location is amazing, just adjacent to St. Louis Cathedral. The building and ambience are first class. The service is attentive, but not stuffy, and the food quality is excellent. Presentations are fairly simple, but beautiful. Overall, a lovely dining experience!
Overall great, food was so good. Was very loud in the room we were in,, not able to easily hear each other.
Such a fun and unique place to eat- the history is fascinating and the food is so delicious. The noise level is excessive especially when alcohol is flowing however this is one of my favorite places to take guests when they’re in town!
Delicious food, great service, lovely ambiance! Definitely one of my new favorite reasons in New Orleans! The goat cheese crepes are unbelievably tasty! The Panko salmon (order medium rare) is decadent!
