The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos!     We came out for the Jazz Brunch and the music and food was amazing. The staff was not friendly or good at working the tables. It was a shame.

    We had a wonderful experience at Muriel’s. April was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a musical trio that played Christmas music while we dined. We will definitely go back!

    What a wonderful experience. Nestled right off of Jackson Square, this dining experience is second to none. The staff is extremely attentive, the dining room is quiet and elegant, and the food is amazing.

    Amazing place to eat a 3 meals course. The staff is super nice and patient. The food was excellent as well as the cocktails. I highly recommend this place to those who would like to enjoy the fine cuisine of Muriel's Jackson square.

    One of the most delicious meals of my life! Get the bread pudding. Alek was an amazing waiter. And the honey child cocktail was incredible!

    Ambience was nice, though it is very loud inside. Our waiter was great and the food was good, however, the chicken dish I ordered off the pre-fix menu made me violently ill later in the evening. (TMI: I know it was the chicken because I had the unfortunate experience of seeing it again.) Would I recommend it? Yes? Will I revisit Muriel’s? Probably not.

    Beautiful restaurant that sits on the corner of Jackson Square. Our Reveillon dinner was delicious and provided by an attentive and congenial server. We couldn't have had a better experience and highly recommend Muriel's.

    Enjoyed the meal, had the set 3 course offering. The service was fast and efficient. My only criticism would be they seemed to rush the meal, there was no offer of another glass of wine or of coffee after dessert.

    Ambiance was impeccable, highly recommended having dinner with Pierre. It’s a quiet space to enjoy a piece of invaluable history. Thank you especially to our waitress Chappie, she was extremely attentive and friendly, I hope we can return to have her serve us again. She guided us not only through the menu but through the history of the establishment and it’s notorious resident. The food was amazing and wowed us for all 4 courses of the holiday réveillions.

    Excellent food, great service. We had two servers, on e for drinks and the other for food. We had 7:15 reservations, arrived on time, and they sat us immediately. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food and service match. Is a bit pricy but no more so than other high end restaurants in the city.

    This has become my most favorite restaurant in the world. We have celebrated 2 anniversary dinners here over the last 3 years. Excellent on every level!

    To be honest, I didn’t enjoy any of the food. The service was about the only thing that was good. We got the pork belly appetizer which was just interesting and also very little meat. We also got the mushroom gnocchi dish which was fairly flavorless, needed salt, and the flavors it did have were off. (Bell peppers topping a mushroom cream sauce). I would rank both dishes a 4/10 on flavor. We also got the dijon salmon and it was was light on flavor and it did not have peas but lima beans and it was super weird. I would also rate this a 4/10. At least the cook on the salmon was good. The service was superb though. I wouldn’t recommend this place though because the food was subpar

    We didn’t know what to expect, except that Muriel‘s received good reviews. It was absolutely beautiful on the interior. Our waitress was attentive and didn’t miss a thing! We had the three course prix fixe meal and it was delicious and a good value. I will definitely come back next time in New Orleans.

    I had high hopes for Muriel’s but unfortunately falls victim to many of the issues tourist traps have. Slow service, extremely average food and costly for what you get. The wine wasn’t fantastic although that might have been our choice. Interesting atmosphere but I wouldn’t recommend at all.

    The wait staff and decorations are very professional, I loved that they had a cocktail option, and the jumbo crab side dish was delicious. The shrimp and grits were some of the best we had.

    Wonderful experience last night. Food was amazing and the service was 2nd to none. It was a little loud but only because of one table. We had a special occasion and they invited us upstairs to take pictures.

    We had Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised to find out it was a jazz brunch, a trio that spent time in the different rooms playing Christmas music, big band and jazz classics. This is something the said they just started again, the first Sunday of the month. The service was impeccable top to bottom. The Ramon gin fizz was delicious, the rolls are like lil croissants, the salmon and egg toast was ever so smoked that it played well with the delicate egg. I can't remember the name of the dish but the poached eggs with boudin and hollandaise, fantastic. It was truly a lovely room, great atmosphere, delicious food, and some of the friendliest people in the south. Muriel's is officially on our list for future visits and we go to New Orleans a lot!

    Perfectly delicious. Will definitely eat here again. Easy to get to, food was delicious, service was friendly but a little bit slow BUT they were busy. Overall was a great experience.

    The service was lovely. The food was just okay, except for the turtle soup which I have been saying is the best in town for years. Don’t bother looking for the crabmeat on the pecan crusted drum,if it’s there it is undetectable.

    We visited Muriel’s tonight (11/29/23) and were extremely impressed. We’ve dined in several places this visit but this meal was head and shoulders above the rest. My wife had shrimp & goat cheese crepes as an appetizer, followed by pecan crusted drum over a pecan, crab, and spinach relish, and crème brûlée for dessert. I enjoyed blackened redfish over fingerling potatoes and brocolini and chose bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and an espresso shot for dessert. EVERYTHING was perfect. The only problem we have with Muriel’s is the fact that it’s 5 hours away from our home. ;) ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY.

    The atmosphere was outstanding and the food was delicious. The gumbo was filled with seafood and nicely seasoned. The pork chop was tender and well-prepared. Kendall, our waiter, was an added plus to the entire dining experience.
