Mr. B’s Bistro has been a must every time I visit New Orleans for many years. It never disappoints and last night was no exception. The waitstaff was top notch and food amazing.
Me. B’s Bistro is one our favorite French Quarter Restaurants. It is part of the Brennan Family - always a great dining experience.
We had Sunday Brunch before starting home. I love the milk punch and my wife enjoyed the eggs Benedict. After the weekend in New Orleans I wanted something light to end the meal and ordered the sorbet of the day-blackberry. I knew it would be good but it was phenomenal! Just sweet and tangy enough, the best.
Was recommended by a friend and was really looking forward to a great experience. Told to have the bbq shrimp which we did and enjoyed them and the experience. Besides that can't say the remainder of the evening was anything to recommend to anyone. NOLA is known for great food, service and ambiance and B's lacked service and presentation of food. Had to request our table to be cleared after each course, waiter wasn't very attentive to our table and food had zero presentation on plates as served. Overall very disappointed and could not recommend when so many fine restaurants are blocks if not steps away.
One of our favorite NOLA dining spots. Always delicious and impeccable service. The Best
Mr. B's service and menu are outstanding. It was my birthday and they have balloons on the table to every employee knew to say "Happy Birthday". Our servers were so engaging and talented hospitality professionals. The food was fantastic.
The restaurant is in a great location across from the Hotel Monteleone. It's larger than I had expected and less intimate than many of the French Quarter restaurants. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant could be in any US city rather than having a NOLA feel. The food and servers were great.
Wonderful, delicious food. Very professional wait staff however when we didn’t order two entrées along with appetizers etc. the waiter was visibly surely.
I had a dining rewards to redeem he handed my phone back to me and told me that that system wasn’t set up. I had to ask more than once to get him to finally try and manually enter the virtual credit card. His personality and dissatisfaction with us ruined an otherwise pleasant evening.
It was for a birthday and they had balloons at the table! Service was excellent and food amazing! One of my favorite NOLA restaurants!
The shrimp and grits were outstanding!
Gumbo was terrible! Shrimp and grits were dry. I normally love this place but I don’t care to come back
Dined by myself and was seated near the bar. My three waiters (Elree was one) were outstanding! Will come back.
The food was very good. The waitress service was horrendous especially Cristina. Unfortunately service is important this place has it poorly. Don’t recommend
This was a nice little spot tucked off of Royal Ave. in the French Quarter. The service was excellent, but it was extremely warm inside which made dining uncomfortable. My wife had the Pork Chop...it was cooked perfectly (they offered medium, and she chose well) along with a perfect wedge salad to start. Her meal was impeccable. I had the burger with Parmesan fries. The burger was not worth $26, and the fries tasted like the oil they were cooked in. May have been a bad batch, but just not what I had expected.
very good xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
We have visited many times and this was the second time that the food was slow to arrive at our table. We waited 45 minutes from time of order. We were entertaining and it was unpleasant to have to wait that long. We watched others get their food in a timely manner and was distressing to wait.
Went for Sunday Jazz brunch. Great service, cocktails and food. Jazz band moves around the restaurant so you can get a close view and sound of them.
We really enjoyed our brunch! The service was great. We loved the live 3 man band. They sounded really great. Not too loud and just made the atmosphere so nice. My husband had a mimosa and my friend enjoyed the beautiful bloody mary. For brunch my husband had the steak and eggs and I had the quail. Very flavorful!!
Delicioso y muy buen servicio! Súper recomendable
Service as Five Star!
Great Anniversary Dinner
Open table sucks as they didn’t have my reservations. Mr B’s was wonderful and they took me without open table’s ineptness.
Great service, and the food and drinks were fantastic!
I have eaten here numerous times over twenty years. It is always everyone's goto place,
Great food. Impeccable service. Highly recommend. One of the Breannan family restaurants in New Orleans you can't miss.
Everything about Mr. B’s was exceptional. Georgio and the team treated us respectfully, professionally, and with care. The food was excellent across the board. Highly recommend for dates, occasions, and a lovely and quiet meal.
This is a go to spot when I am in New Orleans. Wonderful food and cocktails.
We were in town for business and whenever in NOLA always make a stop at Mr. B's for the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Grits...the are "To Die For". We usually have dinner there but this time stopped at lunch and had a nice $1.50 martini. That's right! $1.50 martini with purchase of an entrée. Awesome food, service and location. Can't wait until my travels take me back.
Met family in town for Mr. B’s famous barbecue shrimp... Wonderful service, food, etc
Was seated in the corner near the kitchen. Place was crazy busy. Service was good but not to personal because it was so busy. We were in and out in an hour. Food was good but very expensive for what you get. Was not really a lovely dining experience but reliably good. Probably won’t go back next time I visit.
We had a wonderful dining experience. My husband had a thick pork chop, juicy and grilled to perfection. I had the grilled fish, which was red fish that was also grilled to perfection accompanied by popcorn rice with pecans. I am now on the search for this type of rice which I have been told is cultivated in LA. It has a natural nutty fragrance and flavor enhanced by the added pecans, so yummy. My sister was eating light and had the Autumn bisque which had a smooth, velvety texture and a delicate squash flavor that she enjoyed. She also had the Bistro Salad which was crisp, fresh and complemented by a tangy but not overpowering vinaigrette. Needless to say the service from start to finish was fabulous.
NOTE: On Thursday after exploring the French Quarter in the rain, we stopped in Mr. B’s for a late lunch at the bar. The bartenders, Dean and Larry were pouring, and were friendly, professional, and could/should be the role models for great bar service. We had the great Bistro Salad and Mr. B’s Barbequed Shrimp, served in a unbelievable sauce with great bread. It’s not barbecued in the traditional way. I could write an essay on this shrimp!
Excellent food! Wonderful service.
I have frequented Mr. B's for many years. First I like the location which is close to Canal and Bourbon streets and usually an easy walk from where I might be staying. The food is good and in ample serving size but I do believe the food and drinks are over-priced so not convinced it is a value. This recent visit was good but in the end we did feel a little bit rushed or pressure to get out of there. I will go again but may limit my self to a drink and appetizer at the bar.
All was great.
Lovely representation of an amazing city. Our salads were wonderful and the fried oysters amazing!
We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
Great location and easy to find. My wife and I wanted a non-traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. The service was good, nothing extraordinary. We enjoyed our food, nothing extraordinary. Presentation was great on the plates, drinks were good. My biggest complaint was they were running the AC and my wife had to keep her jacket on with a scarf due to the blowing cold air. I probably won't return just because my socks were not blown off, but it is definitely a "good" place.
Great good, service and location! Enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch at Mr. B’s. Nice wine list and close to hotels.
Food always good. Service a little slow and drink service very slow, most bar drinks arrived after the food this particular evening. Food was excellent as always.
Mr B’s is always special. Never miss it on trips back to Nola. Service, food, and atmosphere are incredible.
