Wonderful food, great service!! An early enjoyable evening!
We had a wonderful meal, love the ambiance & food.
Best bourbon old fashions!
We took some out of town guests to Mr. B's for what was supposed to be their jazz brunch. The problem was we hardly heard any jazz. The band did not play very long and when they did they gathered at one table at the far end of the dining room and never came near us. The food was average - no one finished their entrees. We had at least three different servers during the course of our meal - the first one disappeared after taking our orders and we never saw her again - a bit confusing. Our guests were not impressed.
Mr B’s is our gonto restaurant. But on Sunday 8/12/18 it was bad. The food was cold, they didn’t set up for the BD occasion, it was JUST not what it usually is. I’ll let it slide. Because I know normally this is a 5 Star restaurant all the time!
Excellent New Orleans Food! Really authentic! And we're from Metairie!
We had a fantastic meal & evening on the edge of the Quarter.
Fantastic food, we have always made Mr.B’s a definite stop when traveling to New Orleans.
Enjoyed a meal here in New Orleans. Excellent service. My shrimp was very overcooked but my wife's meal was outstanding.
Not to be missed.
The table service was excellent and our meal from the appetizers to the main course was exceptional.
Food was tasty - the bread in a bag was hot and crispy which is great. Starters - crispy oysters and mushroom ragu were good. Mains - Grilled fish and salmon were nice. Dessert - bread pudding and creme brulee - bread pudding was lovely. Front desk/entrance staff petite lady on the desk and the taller chap with a jacket and tie) really could work on their welcome of diners as their demeanour and tone left a lot to be desired. So this didn't actually kick off the evening well and we thought we had made a mistake coming to Mr B's especially when compared to all the other hospitality we had experienced in the area already. Waiting staff were better.
Not my usual experience at Mr. B’s.
Waiter forgot my drink and when reminded brought it after the salad. The entree also had a salad on the plate, so he could have warned me about that since I didn’t need two.
I live this restaurant and will go back but hope it was just an off night.
Mr B’s is one of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The food is delicious and the service is always good.
Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and grits! The Jazz trio was mellow.
This is a family favorite restaurant that we always go to whenever we are in town. We love having Sunday Jazz brunch here. As always, food is great, service is exceptional and atmosphere is lively!
We came back to this former favorite for the first time in many years. Nice room, great waitstaff, spotty food and obnoxious crowd, Some folks were just absurdly loud and few people noticed the website's suggestion of upscale casual dress. Like most Brennan places these it is all about moving the tourists in and out in a mass scale.
Great experience with great food.
Poor service. Had to repeatedly ask for iced tea refills. Ordered coffee and dessert at the end of the meal. The coffee came but we had to wait over 10 more minutes for a piece of cheesecake. For the price it was the smallest piece of cheesecake I have ever seen.
It’s always 5 star. Service and food is exceptional.
The pork chop was excellent. Food was overall good but the service was terrible. We would have gotten another drink and dessert but or service was so slow and never came back we decided to go somewhere else.
Amazing food and amazing service! By far one of the best places I have eaten. Would recommend it to anyone
Always great food and service is top notch.
The Appetizers were excellent! We did not enjoy the style of Gumbo offered by Mr. B’s. However, the service was excellent. Shea and Otis took really good care of us. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
I have been going to Mr. B’s for over 20 years. It is always amazing! I have brought three of my children here once they reach 18 and they all agree it is one of the best meals of their lives. We are obsessed with Mr. B. ‘S barbecued shrimp. You cannot go wrong here.
Mr. B's Jazz Brunch is, and always has been the best Jazz Brunch in New Orleans.
The food and the service was great. Our waiter, Ishmeal, was very friendly and accommodating.
Mr. B's Bistro was excellent, and I speak as a connoisseur of ethnic foods! I was born in New Orleans, but I reside in CA, and cooking is one of my hobbies. My specialty...Creole food. Our meals and desserts were delicious, plus the service and ambiance were pristine. Thanks to Mr. B's chefs and staff my daughter's birthday, plus my wedding anniversary, the trip to NOLA were superb.
Bbq shrimp was amazing and the creme puffs were outstanding dessert best restaurant in New Orleans in my opinion
Birthday dinner and everything was fantastic!
Mr. B’s came highly recommended by the staff at The Roosevelt, where my fiancée and I were staying while in New Orleans. We inquired about BBQ shrimp and they said, hands down, Mr. B’s is where you must go. They were 100% correct. Everything we tasted was top notch. We will be back the next time we are in NOLA!
Mr. B’s was the highlight of our stay in New Orleans! We first enjoyed drinks at the bar, getting some friendly tips on the menu from the bartenders, before moving to our table. The tips - crispy fried oysters, shrimp and grits, and pecan pie were spot on! Loved the old-school service and ambiance of Mr. B’s! We can’t wait to visit again!
Fantastic! As always! As a New Orleans native, I have dined at almost every restaurant in the city! Mr B’s ranks at top of the list! Can’t beat the Barbour shrimp and hot French bread! Nothing better !Cant wait to go back soon! The best!
The restaurant was very nice, The server was not knowledgeable with the menu. Every time we ask a question in reference to the menu. It felt as if we were bothering them.
Excellent staff, service, pacing, and food. So good that original group going grew threefold from arriving to departing.
We brought friends from Atlanta to Mr. B’s because we love going there!! They thoroughly enjoyed it as did we!!
Not my favorite for sure. The filet mignon was over cooked, and not a fan of the butter topping. The sides were just ok, and just covered in more of the same butter. Wait staff was great, but not a place I will go back to when visiting New Orleans.
Arrived early but was seated immediately. Excellent waiter (Wade). Food arrived promptly and was excellent as was desert. A very fine dining experience.
The food was excellent , great taste and the service as always is on point. I've been coming here for over 20 years and they have never disappointed me. It a must visit when In New Orleans.
Overheard a local telling another tourist about this - so we tried it! It was amazing and well worth it. Oddly, when I mentioned it to several of my colleagues from the area, they had not heard of it! I told them to try if the next time they were in NOLA. Very very good.
One of our favs!! ❤️ Their crab cakes are amazing!! There steaks are so tender and cooked perfectly! Pork chops are great as well!!
