Excellent food and service, can’t wait to return!
Always a great experience at mr. bs…. Very knowledgeable servers and bartenders. One of our favorites that we continually come back to.. gumbo, bbq shrimp, pecan pie is the way to go
Service was terrible, food was ok. We have eaten here many times in the past and it has definitely declined.
Always excellent! Food, service and atmosphere are winners!
We were very disappointed that there was no changing table for our 1 year old grandson. Won’t be back when we have him with us.
Excellent, attentive service, delicious entrees. The bacon-wrapped shrimp and grits with red eye gravy was amazing (pic attached).
We had an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner here! Everyone and every thing was great!
Very good thanksgiving dinner
Thanksgiving at Mr Bs was amazing. Traditional, Duck, and BBQ Shrimp were out of this world.
Always an amazing meal and wonderful service at Mr. B’s!
Entrees were huge but the $18 duck spring roll appetizer is a joke. One skinny spring roll cut on the bias into four pieces. Not spring rolls as published. Spring roll.
Mr. B’s was one of our favorite places to go - we definitely have not been as impressed with our last two visits.
Amazing food and friendly staff!
Everything was great! This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans!
Brett and JC were a great team! Wonderful recommendations
Food was fabulous! Service wonderful as always. Mr. B’s never disappoints!
I definitely recommend, having been a number of times on multiple visits to NOLA.
Love this place
Great food, great service which allowed us to conduct business without interruption
We stay at the Monteleone when we come to New Orleans because of its proximity to everything. The trip is long given the lack of non-stop flights from where we live, so we're tired and just need a good dinner when he arrive.
Mr B's Bistro is just across the street from the hotel. It is a great go-to place for a top flight meal and adult-sized cocktails. We started with a pour of Buffalo Trace apiece, and got a generous rock-glass-sized drink that was just the thing to start things off. We shared the pork belly app, a good sized chunk of barbecued meat because who doesn't like bacon, right? She got the pear salad, a nice middle of the strike zone starter. I had gumbo which was rich and thick and full of debris.
For the main course she had the blackened redfish, which she proclaimed was the best fish she has had in recent memory. I tried the duck breast as a treat I can't get at any of the home restaurants. It was a generous portion, perfectly done with a tasty glaze over a bed of risotto.
No dessert. Before tip it was $140, a real bargain given the quality of the food, the white glove service, and the call Bourbon drinks.
Everything was excellent. The grilled redfish was about as close to perfection as food gets
Very good lunch and Stephen was a great waiter…
Everyone enjoyed the lunch and food as always is consistently good!
First time back in a number of years (pandemic etc.). Still good, classic New Orleans food. Service is very attentive but not overbearing. Prices are slightly high, but overall worth it.
Waitstaff prompt but one of them a little snooty.
The restaurant closes at 8:00. It would have been nice to know that after making a 7:15 reservation. We felt very rushed by the staff. We didn’t know about the closing until the waiter brought us out bill halfway through us finishing our entree’s.
A little casual and loud for nice business dinners but a good meal.
The food, as usual, as very good. Although I had a previous experience a day earlier where the service was spotty at best, the service at this visit was exceptional by any measure. The server was attentive, followed throughout the meal and made sure the special requests were followed before the meal was served.
Just not the same food anymore
The food and service was excellent. Absolutely the best Gumbo I have had in New Orleans
Service was great with a fun “attitude” however having dined here three times before, I thought food quality had slid
All salads ( our group had one or more of each) were totally pedestrian
Entrees were just good, not great and sides did not shine
Still a French Quarter stalwart with personality, but fading reason to go for the food
Great food, service and ambiance. Terrence was our server and he was great! Everything came fast and tasted awesome. It’s clear that all of the staff work together well and want to provide an excellent dining experience.
A NOLA classic. BBQ shrimp to die for. Great, friendly service. Would highly recommend to anyone - and I have to many friends.
The service was extremely disappointing! We were ignored for 45 minutes with dirty plates on our table. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks, coffee or dessert! Had to finally find a host to get us our check. And they never seemed to care how upset we were with our experience at their restaurant.
Too many other great restaurants in New Orleans to visit!!
As always great meal.
I always eat at Mr Bs when in NOLA! Food is consistently great, authentic and the service staff is fun, pleasant and knowledgeable! The bbq shrimp is a favorite but the shrimp and grits may be even better! The pork chop was maybe the best I have ever had!! Highly recommend Mr Bs!!
One of my go to restaurants when visiting New Orleans. Great service, food and drinks. I’ve never had a bad time there.
Outstanding fresh food. Crab cake is a must. Trout meunière was perfect. Our waiter Ken was charming and service was impeccable. Had not been in many years and happy to see that experience was still great.
Can't beat the BBQ shrimp! The service is always wonderful, we love this place!
This restaurant was recommended, we're so glad we went because it was fabulous! Team Brett and J.C. were fantastic. Brett made suggestions; we went with many of them and we were very happy! The fried oysters were to die for! The grits were the best we've ever had! We'll be back again! Don't leave New Orleans without experiencing this restaurant!
some of the best food I have ever eaten, try the duck.
Lovely attention to detail in terms of special instructions
