The service wasn’t the best. Our server didn’t come back to us to ask if we wanted another drink. We sat down and it was the only time we got offered a drink. Also the truffle fries were awful not enough cheese or seasoning at that.
We were given a 1:30 reservation. Found out the restaurant closes at 2. The waiter obviously tried to rush us through the meal.
Appetizers could barely be seen on the plates. Not nearly enough food for the price
The duck breast was amazing. So was the French bread and butter
The brandy milk punch was delicious
But the way we were treated and made to rush with ordering food will keep us away for a while
Good food, lively atmosphere, excellent waiter and the sous chef came out to speak to us.
All good! Good food, great service and ambiance all above the expected!
Mr. B's Bistro does not disappoint. Classic New Orleans Brunch in an elegant, but cozy atmosphere. Always love our brunches here. The service was spot on and the drink and food was fabulous. They serve the famous Leidenheimer to start you off, which is absolutely the best bread anywhere! Crusty and warm with a soft center! Milk Punch is dessert itself! The eggplant sticks and Shrimp and Mirliton Soup were spot on for starters. Not too much before the meal. We loved the Duck Egg and Hash and Shrimp and Grits. Hope to be back again!
It was a wonderful evening and as always the food was delicious.
Wonderful experience, fantastic meals and two superb waiters. Always a go to dining experience.
The food and service were excellent! Made my husband feel special on his 50th!
We had a 7;45 seating. As soon as we sat down the waiter tells us the kitchen closes in 10 minutes. What why did you give us a 7:45 reservation if the kitchen closes at 8?
Regardless, hurriedly placed our appetizers and meal. Ordered drinks. Drinks came, didn't have my drink had to order again. Appetizers were good. Meal came. My wife's shrimp and grits were warm at best. My friend garlic chicken was not very good she didn't finish it. We have been to Mr B's several times. Loved every visit. We are generally served bread when we sit down, none came, we asked again, none came. We asked another server who brought us some. I ordered another drink, never served. Our water glasses were never refilled. I finished my meal drinking my wife's water. We order desert the bread pudding was warm in some spots and completely cold in others. The meal was ruined from the time we sat down by letting us know we had to hurry our orders. The service was below par so was the food
Absolutely AMAZING service and delicious food! My fav in Nola
Delicious food and wonderful service! The Christmas decorations made it felt extra special!
Family get together
The food is delicious, the wait staff is professional and helpful, the ambiance is very nice—even at midday. A definite must-do. Try the BBQ Shrimp!
Lunch was delicious and the service the best. Thank You Mr B’s!
Excellent food and service, can’t wait to return!
Always a great experience at mr. bs…. Very knowledgeable servers and bartenders. One of our favorites that we continually come back to.. gumbo, bbq shrimp, pecan pie is the way to go
Service was terrible, food was ok. We have eaten here many times in the past and it has definitely declined.
Always excellent! Food, service and atmosphere are winners!
We were very disappointed that there was no changing table for our 1 year old grandson. Won’t be back when we have him with us.
Excellent, attentive service, delicious entrees. The bacon-wrapped shrimp and grits with red eye gravy was amazing (pic attached).
We had an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner here! Everyone and every thing was great!
My family and I went to Mr. B’s for Thanksgiving and it was incredible. The drinks, the food, all of it was so delicious. Highly recommend.
Very good thanksgiving dinner
Thanksgiving at Mr Bs was amazing. Traditional, Duck, and BBQ Shrimp were out of this world.
Always an amazing meal and wonderful service at Mr. B’s!
Entrees were huge but the $18 duck spring roll appetizer is a joke. One skinny spring roll cut on the bias into four pieces. Not spring rolls as published. Spring roll.
Mr. B’s was one of our favorite places to go - we definitely have not been as impressed with our last two visits.
Amazing food and friendly staff!
Everything was great! This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans!
Brett and JC were a great team! Wonderful recommendations
Food was fabulous! Service wonderful as always. Mr. B’s never disappoints!
I definitely recommend, having been a number of times on multiple visits to NOLA.
Love this place
Great food, great service which allowed us to conduct business without interruption
We stay at the Monteleone when we come to New Orleans because of its proximity to everything. The trip is long given the lack of non-stop flights from where we live, so we're tired and just need a good dinner when he arrive.
Mr B's Bistro is just across the street from the hotel. It is a great go-to place for a top flight meal and adult-sized cocktails. We started with a pour of Buffalo Trace apiece, and got a generous rock-glass-sized drink that was just the thing to start things off. We shared the pork belly app, a good sized chunk of barbecued meat because who doesn't like bacon, right? She got the pear salad, a nice middle of the strike zone starter. I had gumbo which was rich and thick and full of debris.
For the main course she had the blackened redfish, which she proclaimed was the best fish she has had in recent memory. I tried the duck breast as a treat I can't get at any of the home restaurants. It was a generous portion, perfectly done with a tasty glaze over a bed of risotto.
No dessert. Before tip it was $140, a real bargain given the quality of the food, the white glove service, and the call Bourbon drinks.
Everything was excellent. The grilled redfish was about as close to perfection as food gets
Very good lunch and Stephen was a great waiter…
Everyone enjoyed the lunch and food as always is consistently good!
First time back in a number of years (pandemic etc.). Still good, classic New Orleans food. Service is very attentive but not overbearing. Prices are slightly high, but overall worth it.
Waitstaff prompt but one of them a little snooty.
