Mr. B's Bistro
Great food, service and ambiance!
The staff was wonderful and we were seated right at our reservation time. The food did not disappoint!
One of the best in the French quarter
All good. Everything went right. It was perfect. Thank you.
Food was edible but certainly did not live up to the standard of Mr. B’s. My trout almondine was not well seasoned, at all. Service was exceptional, however.
Wonderful food and service. It’s always busy when we are in town, but neither the food or service suffer. The grits are wonderful.
Very fancy. Maybe more than I was expecting. Although we only wanted gumbo and a crab cake, they still provided top notch service. Everything on the menu is a la carte. Thus it can get a bit pricey. Kind of an old fashion place, like a fancy steak house. The food we had was top notch.
They were great! The food was top notch! The waiters were unbelievable!
We had the barbecue Shrimp and was excellent!! Best I’ve ever had!! The service was wonderful too!!
Highly recommend and will be back!!
I would recommend this spot, but our waiter forgot my wine for what was a long time. They seemed rather impersonal, the water attendant was the nicest our actual waiter wasn't great if you're paying that much it should be much better, and they spilled soup and water when they served us
Water dripped on my purse, they never poured out my gumbo from the tin - it didn't seem that professional with lots of great restaurants to chose from it should be a better experience
My belated Valentine’s brunch. I absolutely love the 3 piece jazz band that plays there on Sunday. The gumbo is excellent as are the duck spring rolls. Their homemade sorbet is delicious and dairy free! Mr. B’s is my favorite place to brunch
My husband and I live in New Orleans but whenever we have out of town guest visiting or when we just want a special New Orleans experience we head to Mr Bs Bistro for Sunday brunch. The food and service are wonderful and we adore the music-especially Mr Joe Cushenberry-a New Orleans legend. Thanks again for the memorable experience! Sarah Holt
Fun experience and great food! Highly recommend. The fried oysters are great! Busy place!
Always perfect high quality food and service in such a nice atmosphere. The cocktails are the the best in NOLA. It's why we've been coming here for over 20 years.
Pasta jambalaya underwhelmed. Sauce tasted mostly of water. Pasta and shrimp was good, portion was for a child. Bbq shrimp was good and messy (to be expected). Servers were very good. Value was meh.
We waited way to long for our appetizers and had to ask twice where our food was. We were told to relax and enjoy, not to worry.
Best barbecue shrimp period.
My boyfriend and I chose this as our Valentine's Day spot and it did not fail to impress! The space itself has a great evening vibe with dark wood and cozy built-in booth bench seating. The food was delicious and a great mix of New Orleans classics! We left filled to the brim, but well worth it and a memorable experience!
We went to Mr B’s Bistro for our Valentine’s Day dinner. It was the perfect meal for a special night.
We always love Mr.B's. Really great if you have reservations but also nice to pop in and eat at the bar. Duck spring rolls are always a must along with a Sazerac. Great salads. If you feel like getting a little messy, the BBQ Shrimp are great. For those of you not from South Louisiana, it is not like Texas BBQ. They are cooked in a spicy butter that is delicious to dip your french bread in. We eat here everytime we are in town and have never had a bad meal.
Excellent food and atmosphere.
Food was very good. Noise level more than desirable. Service was not as polished as usual at this restaurant.
Early Valentines dinner
Wow! Mr B’s Bistro is fabulous!!! We were in New Orleans for my husband’s birthday and had an extraordinary meal. My husband started with the Crispy Fried Oysters which were flash fried and fabulous. I had the Gumbo Ya-Ya and loved it. The Trout Amandine was lightly sautéed, moist and flavorful and the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Grits were to die for! Our server was friendly and funny and we really enjoyed him. We loved our meal so much that I checked Open Table while we were still eating to see if we could have another fabulous meal at Mr B’s. Sadly, but understandably, it was booked for the rest of our stay in New Orleans...but we will definitely be back!!!
Unobtrusive but attentive service. Pleasant no-nonsense decor. Well-executed reliable dishes. Some outstanding recipes. Attractive dignified casual atmosphere.
Great dinner! Their signature dish of barbequed shrimp didn't disappoint. Profiteroles didn't disappoint either.
Incredible food,wine,and ambiance.
This restaurant is a do not miss in Nola.
one of my favorites in nola. chill atmosphere great people. rabbit and ya ya are killer. JC is the best.
Trout almandine was wonderful as was the wood grilled redfish. Great service by JC made for a enjoyable dining experience.
BBQ shrimp are so delicious
Used to be one of my favorite places but was just underwhelmed this trip. The desserts are very good (all homemade), the place is very nice and I love the banquettes by the window. But my meal was just OK ...
Had family visiting for jazz brunch. Several meals were just ok. Worst eggs benedict ever. Gumbo was good but for the price food not up to par of others. This used to be my favorite place to take clients 5 yrs ago. Was a little embarrassed. Wife will not go back.
We had an amazing dinner and our service was what I always anticipate...outstanding. It is my must got to restaurants whether for me and my family or when we have guests visiting. Thank you for always being amazing and consistent!
Have eaten there 20+ times. They set the bar high and continue to meet it.
Great food and outstanding service. Came for a birthday and the had balloons waiting at the table. Multiple people helped to make the night great.
We reserved a table but ended up sitting very close to another couple and to the right of a very rowdy bachelorette group. Not the atmosphere we were hoping for
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything was delicious, as always! Only complaint was portions were pretty small. My teenage son was still really hungry, after app, entree & dessert. Esp for this price.
The bbq shrimp was messy but delicious as well as the lemon tart which tasted like a key lime pie. The pork loin was tender. Gumbo yaya was a little burnt tasting with bits of black burnt bits on the bottom of my bowl.
The Orange Julius cocktail was great.
When they get real busy and packed, staff doesn’t give you as much attention even tho it looks like they are well staffed.
Lunch was excellent! Very attentive and informative waitstaff
Best bbq shrimp and bread!
Pork chops are the best ever!
