5 stars all around! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is so delicious. Nancy my server was so friendly and made my dining experience memorable. The portions are generous and the drinks were well curated. I will definitely be back!

I have eaten at 5 Morimoto restaurants so far and can safely say this is by far the worst and shouldn't have the Iron Chef's namesake. First, let's talk about the food... Started with appetizers, which were really good (sticky ribs, soft shell crab bao, shishito peppers, toro tartare). Was feeling great, so I ordered some Maki rolls, and this is where everything went downhill. Ordered (softshell crab roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy yellowtail roll, and a negitoromaki). I'm sure Safeway or even a gas station could make better Maki! Then, I moved to the desert, hoping for redemption.. the malasadas, ube cheesecake, and bananas foster. All three were pretty good and worth trying. Now let's talk about the service...slow slow slow. One and only drink took over 10 min to get. Seems like there were enough people working, but only one busboy and a few people were just standing around observing the dining rooms..so I'm not sure why service was slow. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting! If you're like me, you judge a restaurant on the cleanliness of its bathrooms. No seat covers in the ladies' room. The men's bathroom was gross with a seat lid that can never be opened due to a grab bar that goes along the top. Overall, I don't think this restaurant is worthy of the Morimoto name, and the prices don't justify the quality of the food. There are far better, arguably cheaper options in Maui.

The food is always good, and the staff is working super hard. It’s clear they aren’t running at full staff, but the people who are there are doing an awesome job. We had a great meal, and it’s a beautiful location.

Very disappointed by the meal. Went for my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant itself is very average in atmosphere. Noting upscale but the prices. Food is ok. Definitely had better sushi before for less money. And the restrooms were disgusting Definitely would not come back or recommend Largely overpriced

My favorite dish had to be the fish carpaccio. So fresh and yummy. Side of Mushrooms had to be the second fave. We had the chef’s choice combination nigiri and it was nothing special. Service could be better but she was okay. I think we spent a little too much for what we received . But at least I can say I ate at Morimoto!

This would be a perfect review. The food was amazing, the wine pairing was spot on. You can look out and see the ocean. The only downside was that it was just off a pool. So people would cut through to not have to go around the patio. This is not a restaurant problem though. The service and food quality are not to blame. Just the inconsiderate pool goers. But overall, this was a fantastic experience.

Food was fabulous as usual. Great quality but of course, Wailea prices. However, it’s a sure thing if you want excellent sushi. Host was really nice. I wouldn’t say our server was particularly pleasant. And when the bill came she abruptly took the bill to adjust after I presented our WCA card. I would border line say she was rude.

Best quality sushi I’ve ever had. Something as simple as adding scallions to the negihamachimaki elevated the sushi to even a greater level (we also had the ebi, scallop, medium fatty tuna, and tamago as well…and all were excellent). Tuna pizza was wonderful, never thought tuna, tomatoes, red onions, olives, and anchovy aioli would work so well together. Sticky ribs were so tender with a nice crunch. Ishi yaki buri bop was great as well. The mixture of daikon (I think), carrots, seaweed, egg yolk, and crispy rice (from the hot stone bowl) were to die for. Dare I say overall greater value than my life…

Upon arriving to Morimoto, my wife and I knew we were in for a magical evening. The food and the views were incredible. We had a delicious waygu beef carpaccio and the sticky ribs were amazing. We had a spicy tuna sushi and an incredible soft shell crab sushi with duck fried rice… soooo good. We finished with these wonderful Portuguese doughnuts with a chocolate and caramel sausage…. WOW!! All in all the food and service was impeccable. Tristan was our waiter… fantastic and very friendly. We had a beautiful sunset to add the mood to a wonderful evening. Do yourself a favor and visit Morimoto. You will not be dissatisfied .. and, by the way , you’re welcome!

Portions are very small for sushi and the ishiyaki boro bop. The boro bop wasn’t like a Korean dol sot bibimbap like we thought it was supposed to be. Food was good but honestly for the money there are better places to eat.

Amazing experience and service. We were greeted immediately and brought to our table next to the pool. Our waiter was amazing from the start with great customer service and flair. He set the mood for the entire meal and it made things that much better. Definitely recommend for a romantic dinner!
