We had to return one dinner because the quality of the food was so poor. We were offered another entree, but we said no. Since the lunch as dinner menus are the same, we suspected the entree was reheated.
Mondays are a great day to dine out. Not too crowded. Love the patio at Morada.
The surrounding is beautiful and food is very good. The service is superb!
It was delightful - out on the veranda on a beautiful day - excellent cuisine and excellent service.
Hi Annie. We are delighted to hear that we provided you with the best experience possible. We look forward to having you back again. Have a great week.
Celebrating an award.
Food was wonderful, service was spectacular, the only downfall was the wedding rehearsal party, they were very inconsiderate of the people dining there.
Hi Anonymous. Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the food and the service; and sorry about the wedding rehearsal party. Now that things are reopening and weddings are coming back, we will do our best to control the noise level with groups. Thanks again and see you back soon.
I liked but was disappointed after realizing that their online menu didn’t match up with the restaurant it self menu. I picked the restaurant specially because the bananas foster and I was so disappointed that they have not updated the menu.
Hi Anonymous. Thank you for your feedback. The menu online has been updated. We will make sure that in the future it is updated on time. Thanks again for sharing your concern with us.
We were there for an hour before getting any food. They have almost no staff working there so it took forever. At least they could serve you some bread while you wait an hour for your appetizers. Won’t go back until life is more normal and they have a staff back
Hi Anonymous. We sincerely apologize for the wait time. The management has taken steps to fix the wait time issue. Thank you very much or sharing the concern with us. We are grateful and are still looking forward to see you back again.
Just what we expected. Thank you so much. The staff was as fantastic as they could be. We were taken care of and left for our quiet conversation. Thank you again RSF Inn. It’d been 20 years to come back! Can’t wait to come again soon.
Hi Flame. Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
excellent food and service! the waiter was helpful and the service was just right - leisurely enough to enjoy the ambiance.
Hi Susan. Thank you for sharing your experience. Please visit us again soon.
Morada has been one of our favorite place until this past time. Although the waitress was very nice, the service overall was very disappointing. We were not told that the kitchen was closing nor offered any dessert: so no dessert, no coffee, no tea. :(
Hi ccrsf. We sincerely appreciate your feedback, and we are very sorry you were told about the closing time and were not able to order dessert and coffee. We will bring up this issue with the team to ensure that it never happen again. We hope you will come back sometime to give us a chance to make it right.
Really happy with our lunch. Delicious shrimp Louie salad and great service.
Hi Mimbo. We have shared your review with the chef and he is delighted to know that you loved the Shrimp Louie Salad. Have a great week and come back to visit us again soon.
Best Grilled Reuben ever! Wine selection good. Great place to enjoy good friends and good food!
Hi Gretchen65. Thank you for sharing your experience. Please visit us again soon.
Not sure how to rate this. We arrived at 6 PM and still did not have our entrees until after 8 due to an “issue in the kitchen” according to our server. Food was OK but definitely not worth that kind of wait...
Very pleasant atmosphere, feels like on vacation when sitting on outside patio. Service was excellent with Max as server.
Maybe they haven't gotten their groove back, but was not impressed at all. We had a 7:15 res, and we were staying at the hotel, so we walked over at 7:20. They said table would be ready in 10, we tried to order a drink from the bar, but the bartender was too busy with waiter orders. The hostess comes to seat us, and is taking us towards a room indoors and we say can't we sit out here on the patio, it was lovely and she said on no, we have 8 oclock res's coming. So she does seat us outdoors but it's a small patio that looks like they threw some four tops out on it but it did have a fire place. The waiter never brought my husbands beer, ever. Even when we reminded him. I ordered a margarita it was very woodsy. Almost like a bourbon whiskey was in it. Not a typical marg but I drank it. It is not their full menu which is on the website, so that threw us for a loop and my husband is vegan but he managed to find something to eat. The food was just ok. My son had Tomato basil bisque soup, I did not taste basil at all., or see it. No garnish. And they forgot a spoon, and when they brought a spoon, it wasn't a soup spoon. Nothing to right home about. For that price, I expected delicious, nothing delicious on that table except the chips and quacamole. And that was delicious. Save your money. I am sure there are better places and better value in the cute little town. We still tipped well, hey, they have been hit hard by Covid, but I won't be eating there again. The best part about staying there was the woman who checked us in at the hotel front desk. She could work at any 5 star resort and be an asset. Should have gotten her name. A real pro.
Response: Hi Kimmb. Thank you for taking time to share your concern with us. We sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We take your feedback seriously and will take every necessary step to make sure that it does not happen again. The concern about the food has been shared with the chef, the beverages manager is informed about the drinks. Thank you again for your review. We hope you will give us another chance to make it right.
I have been here many many times. Normally the wait staff is good about my egg allergy and this time - not so much. Their crema for the fish tacos tasted like (and I believe had) mayonnaise! The fish in the fish taco's was dry.
That said - the corn side was AMAZING - corn was grilled and tasted fabulous.
Old-school style in an elegant surrounding. Enjoyed the dark rich interior of the Inn, with a varied menu. Excellent service provided by a friendly knowledgeable wait staff who is able to offer a jammy cab for me. We dined on crabcakes which were fresh crispy and delicious, brussels sprouts which were a bit overcooked, and delicious fish tacos. Would love to come back and dine on the patio with the outdoor lights once the weather improves. We will definitely be back.
Hi SanDiegoReviewer. . Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. We have shared your suggestion with the chef about the Brussels Sprouts and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Perfect place to meet for a nice breakfast and a place to chat without competing noises
It was a chili evening and the ambiance would have been enhanced if the beautiful stone fireplace had been lit.
There was a very loud dinner meeting going on at the adjacent table with lots of profanity being used. We could hear every word and both of us were desperately trying to get AWAY from work for the evening. It felt like we were in the board room with these people.
The server did not bring bread to the table and we had to ask. This may be standard for this restaurant but it seems to me that most better establishments serve bread with your meal.
The lobster was not served with drawn butter, we had to ask.
Service was slow, we had to ask for refills of water. A carafe left at the table might be a nice idea.
The food was superb. Absolutely delicious. The steak and lobster portions were small and everything is alacarte.
Overall, super food but the service and value could be better.
Great service, delicious food, and a beautiful location.
Great food, COVID 19 polices in effect with distanced dining which I appreciated. Service was also very good.
Great food lovely staff
Great service. Good food. Good prices. I will be back.
The food was very good- lots of choices for very different tastes.
What a great spot indoors and out. Service was outstanding and our dinner came out piping hot. Delicious the whole way around!
Overall, excellent experience... the fries are outrageous good :-)
Service was excellent...warm & friendly. The crab cakes out of this world.
I'd recommend outdoor dining
Nice place, the menu, perhaps, is a short one, the plates we try were tasty and with a good presentation. The service, that day, was a little bit short, so we had to wait more than desirable.
The atmosphere at Morada is always pleasant - especially out on the patio where you can enjoy the best of San Diego weather. Try the Royce Salad or calamari or ahi poke. It is really hard to go wrong.
Having brunch outside adjacent the to hotel's lawn was lovely. We appreciated the extra special touches of an Easter brunch menu and a live musician. Tables were nicely spaced out and they brought in extra tables, chairs and umbrellas to accommodate all the dressed up diners.
We are local and always come here for Easter brunch, but wouldn’t have known it was Easter if the bunny didn’t stop by and deliver a chocolate egg with peanuts (were not alerting but were super surprised) right after breakfast was served so guess what - the toddler didn’t eat the breakfast but instead ate the chocolate - no special Easter brunch and our food was served cold and there was egg shell in our over medium eggs and the waffle recipe and waffle iron were different and bland this time and these are a regular favorite! It was disappointing and unfortunate.
I made a reservation for outside, but didn't realize you had to ask for front. I didn't like the back. The table and chairs were not comfortable.
What a relaxing quiet spot to have lunch with a friend or spouse - especially in the courtyard or outdoor patio. The food is delish and staff accommodating. GREAT spot!
Always a good experience! Our service was exceptional !
We got married at the Inn 16 years ago and returned for an anniversary dinner. We had a great experience overall. It was nice to return to reminisce and enjoy a nice meal. We were seated outdoors. The service was excellent, food was hot and delicious and the setting beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience overall!
pablo was excellent - very patient and attentive! we’ll be back!
Food was excellent, and it is always very pleasant eating on the front patio overlooking the front lawns and trees. We had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to take our order, but the waiter nicely removed the cost of our drinks from our bill, so I gave them a 5 for "service." All in all, a very! nice experience.
food was a surprising disappointment. But the hotel and ambiance was wonderful- probably good for a drink and appetizers.
Awesome server and service.
