Excellent menu offerings and great drinks. Very good selection of oysters and all were very fresh and tasty
Food was very good
Service was excellent
Fish selections were sparse
Prices were high even for Vail
BEST RIBEYE I'VE EVER HAD. HALIBUT OUT OF THIS WORLD.
The food was fine, but not very inspired. I can open a raw oyster or grill a piece of fish at home.
Good seafood, great service. Pricey, but it's Vail.
Amazing food, great service and ambiance!
After reading all the great reviews, we decided to make reservations for Montauk, and it was the best dinner and experience while in Vail.
We had Maine Lobster Arancini as our starter and I was in love... all the flavors on this appetizer were exquisite!
Our entrees didn’t disappoint either, my halibut was to die for!
Our server was amazing as well, he offer great recommendations and was very pleasant and friendly.
Colorado is a beautiful state with wonderful restaurants and many options, Montauk Seafood Grill is definitely one of them! It is must if you are visiting Vail. Highly recommend it!
This is our second visit as we had dined here last year when we were staying in Vail. We were able to sit outside as the weather was very nice. We all had a crab or fish dish which was very good. Great service and a good location.
Expected to be an expensive restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. the Food was quite good and overall for the level of restaurant that it is it was very reasonably priced.
Fabulous crab dinner for our anniversary. Would highly recommend the restaurant as service was as good as the food.
I had the halibut and my wife had the scallops- both were excellent. Beautiful filet of halibut Panco crusted and cooked perfectly. Mussels as appetizer were good but not great. Recommend the outdoor seating for good people watching.
Excellent food! We enjoyed every item that was served. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Worth every penny!
We loved Montauk! The service, the food, the wine. It was outstanding. We had a long weekend in Vail and first time going to Montauk. The seafood was outstanding. The crab legs were some of the best we have had. A wonderful evening. Helena our server was fantastic and a real pro.
Enjoyable ambiance, service and delicious food. Will return for more crab legs!
The staff were so accommodating when we asked for an isolated table.
We eat here every time we are in Vail. 5 stars all around! Fish is always excellent. New England clam chowder is delicious. The potatoes are a real treat.
We recently dined at Montauk In Vail for our Anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with the owner Cameron. Our meal was excellent. We savored every bite!! Many compliments to the chef!! The staff was friendly and we will definitely dine here again when in town. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful evening! Howard and Nan
Great meal at Montauk! Everything from steamed mussels to salad to entrées (ahi tuna and grilled scallops) and dessert (sand pie) was delicious and well-presented. Montauk will be on our list the next time we're in Vail!
The Scottish salmon was delicious. The other dishes we had were very good. Not great. Had the crab gazpacho, the Japanese crudo and arugula salad.
My boyfriend and I are from New York. We were traveling for about two weeks and spent a few days in Vail; we are big foodies. We were very excited to dine here because we love seafood. The service was fabulous and the place itself was very cute and elegant. However, we were not impressed with the food. My boyfriend ordered steak and a lobster tail with clams and key lime pie. The steak was over cooked, my boyfriend was not crazy about the lobster but no complaints. However, neither of us enjoyed the key lime pie, we’ve had better in many other places. I ordered pasta with scallops which I did enjoy, I think the scallops were very plain though. Overall, we thought the money was definitely not worth the quality of the food.
So good we went twice in three days. Service awesome. Food terrific. Very strong rating!
Great meal and great service. Food was prepared well and the kitchen was very accommodating in making changes. Service was prompt and customer oriented.
Fresh seafood, in a delightful setting. Weather was cold, so we were all indoors. Table spacing was appropriate for "social distancing", and servers and other employees all wore masks. Food was delicious. Highly recommend. As with all good restaurants in the Vail Valley, it can easily run $90-$100 pp.
Fantastic service, fantastic food as always. Very enjoyable.
It was my birthday. We had oysters which were delicious, my favorite variety and the best price. Both entrees were super and our server comped our dessert for my birthday. Very happy with our experience.
Very well prepared, and good presentation. Prices fit quality. Service was great. A very good restaurant.
Chelsea, our server was outstanding. I have travelled all over the world and she was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. Extremely attentive, personable, no rush and great personality. Food was awesome! We will be back for sure!
5 star all the way. Great seafood, imaginatively prepared combined with friendly well timed service.
Our waitress Chelsea was awesome. High energy and great attention to detail!
This is our “must go” when visiting Vail/Lionshead. Every time we eat here it is a memorable experience.
Always a favorite for delicious oysters and tuna! Love this spot.
Great food; large portions; good variety
We went to celebrate my birthday but I was disappointed. I order the lobster that was good but order the filet medium too it was all burnt on the outside and bitter. They offered to make another one that ii was better on the inside but the same burnt and bitter taste on the outside. My husband order the crab and oyster and loved it. I probably should have order only seafood...
We sat on the patio and had a wonderful evening. The staff was amazing the Halibut was to die for.
Great time while on vacation!
Food is excellent! We eat here every time we're in town.
The food and drink was fabulous. We had a great time celebrating our 10th weeding anniversary.
Exceptional service, incredible food. Overall experience exceeded my expectations.
The Salmon and Sea Bass preparations were amazing
Steak was not even close to the temperature I wanted. When I asked for sides, they offered a lemon spinach or nothing. I asked to pay for something or get the bacon garlic mash which they served with the ribeye. They said no. The meal still came out to $180.00. We are in Vail 2 or 3 times a month. We will not be back here.
