Enjoyed our meal. Service was very good. Knew when to be attentive and when to leave us be. A midtown gem. We’ll be back soon.
Friday night date with my beautiful lady. Service and food were good! I’d come back.
The service is always good and the people/management very nice. There are a couple odd spots for tables that don’t make for a great experience/ambiance and unfortunately we got one of those in this occasion.
The most expensive entree on the menu (ny strip) was presented well but very chewy, indicating a poor quality cut. Other guest got the short rib and spoke very well of it.
A few improvements in experience and consistency would make this restaurant worth the tab at the end of the night.
I had the chilli rubbed rib eye steak my wife had braised short ribs both were outstanding! The cocktails were also very good the Phil & john is very good.
Decent food, nice environment, but service and staff were slow and not too friendly. Perhaps it was because it was valentine day and staff was overwhelmed. Would consider for lunch but not for a special occasion.
We had not been to Midtown in a while and it is one of those places that you wonder why it took you so long to come back to. We were seated promptly. Our server was there momentarily to take our drink and appetizer order. The crispy oysters and martinis were excellent. We had the beef short rib and salmon and both were delicious. We split an apple cranberry crumble and left full. Portions are good size. Service was exceptional. Flawless execution on Valentine’s Day is impressive. We will return soon.
Always love Midtown - delicious and great atmosphere
The food was ok but not great. We were happy with about 50% of the dishes we ordered. Service was incredibly slow, we were there for two hours and not because we sat and talked after the meal. I think something must have been going on in the kitchen. The restaurant wasn't full. The decor is a but dated but pleasant enough. They comped some desserts because of the slow service. I hate leaving an unpleasant review but I don't think I'll go back unless I see renewed buzz about the place. They need to get their act together. I remember this restaurant being better in the past but it's been a while since I've eaten there.
We celebrated a birthday lunch with family. We all enjoyed our food very much. Our server was very helpful, friendly and attentive.
We didn’t get any of the lil mini scones (which are our favorite) and the food was very expensive for the quantity recieved (specifically the lamb hash was a very small portion).
The Grille is in our regular rotation restaurant in North Hill. Always consistently good. They have a nice menu and the restaurant is laid out nicely.
Wonderful as always. We usually go in the evening but the Sunday brunch was fabulous
We were there for my husband’s birthday dinner on Saturday night. We were accompanied by four of our friends. We sat in the front window next to the bar which was very nice. The only issue that was bothersome was the folks at the table across from us were very loud! Other than that we were very satisfied and will return!
As we waited for out table, I went to the bar to get a drink and stood there for 10 mins. This one guy kept going back there making drinks, but never acknowledged me. Finally a manager came by and served me.
2 people at our table ordered the crab benedict. The "poached eggs" that came on top were like a gel on both meals. Manager came and took the meals away and brought back with new eggs, that were EXACTLY THE SAME AS BEFORE! Then the server brought out a plate with 2 poached eggs on it and they were overcooked like gel also. We ate our food because we were trying to get out of there. The manager came back by and when told that 8 different eggs were wrong and all cooked the same, his answer was... "I'm not sure what is going on. All the other tables eggs seem to be fine. Not sure why it is just yours? We are looking into it" Pretty sad when you pay $14 for a brunch meal and they can't even get the poached eggs right, oh but just at our table. *eye roll*
Really no vegetarian options for my friend. Otherwise very good.
Took over 30 minutes to get a lunch order.
Awesome steak and asparagus. Service was first class.
A friend and I went here for Restaurant Week. We were glad we made a reservation because it was packed and the wait without one was long. I got the apple pomegranate salad as my starter, the jerk chicken with rice as my entree and the toffee pudding for dessert. Our server seemed really overloaded. She barely stopped at our table and when she did stop, she would walk away even if we weren’t done asking something. My entree was supposed to come with a side of fried plantains (a pretty significant part of the dish) but it was served without it. After she walked past without stopping several times, I finally flagged down somebody else who brought them out a few minutes later. Our server brought the check out without asking about the split and before bringing my dessert. When I asked her about the dessert she seemed momentarily confused before remembering I had ordered it. The food was great but the service was really disappointing. I’d go here again but if I was seated in her section again, I’d probably ask for a different server.
Server spilled wine and did not offer to have my Armani custom sport coat dry cleaned. I will not be back.
It was restaurant week. I had curried butternut squash soup. Excellent. A salad, and shrimp and grits. All delicious.
Excellent shrimp n grits! excellent caesar salad!
Always a delicious meal. We will be back!
Food is really good & good selection... everyone very friendly & helpful
We had a great brunch! The food was very good. The children in our group weren't asked what they wanted to drink but other than that the service was fine.
I had the shrimp and grits, and it was the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The service was fast and courteous. It was also an excellent value. Great restaurant!
Honestly the food is mediocre and the service was awkward. The restaurant is over all pretty and has potential, but lacks personality, flavor, and soul.
Fabulous as always. The NY strip steak is beyond wonderful.
Make sure to get the brussel sprouts for appetizers...really good. 1st time there... Will be back.
Excellent meal and service. We oredered the Market Catch (swordfish on this occasion) & the special which was a filet. Both were prepared great. Thank you!
Great food, great service!
Good is always excellent. Though when restaurant is full it is quite noisy.
We had a very nice dinner recently. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the plate looked lovely. Would recommend for a fine meal if you’re in the neighborhood.
Great spot to meet with friends to celebrate birthdays or to meet business associates!
They have great food and the wait staff is excellent!
Excellent special of grilled shrimp in a tomato cream sauce served with asparagus and crab risotto. Delicious!!
Midtown Grille always delivers a perfect meal and service.
This was my first visit for dinner. Arrived for reservation on time and was seated promptly. The service was great and the meal was enjoyable for both.
My steak came out overdone but when redone it was delicious. The waitress only told us about one special and had to ask her to tell us the fish special. She was not very attentive.
