It was a really great experience to try Ethiopian food, and a really nice atmosphere.
amazing food, great staff and healthy food. fantastic value for money. give it a go!!!
Second time at this restaurant and it was again very good! The food is amazing, and the staff offers one of the best service we have ever had. They really look after you and give you great advice on the food if you are not sure what to order. We'll definitely go back, probably with family or friends!
Lovely home cooked food and brilliant service. Would go again.
Love this place! Lovely hostess. Great food. Brilliant restaurant despite not being well known. Have been back a few times now and love it every time.
Good local dinner at a local resteaurant.
The food was well prepared and tasty. Staff were helpful and gave advice when we ordered.
Service could be a bit quicker.
I've never had Ethiopian before however I felt our experience at Mesi's Kitchen was authentic.
The staff is extremely nice and the food really tasty, I'd definitively go back.
The coffe experience was worth it, great way to close our meal.
Great restaurant to try Ethiopian food.
The service was really good and the restaurant manager was lovely.
On top of that, the food was delicious! We enjoyed every bite of the combo platter for two! We’ll definitely go back.
Great place and delicious food
Great little place run by Mesi, who served us. Lovely food and amazing value for money
Mesi’s isthe most delicious Ethiopian food in London that I know of. Well worth a trip. A delightful family run place, to boot.
We had a lovely evening at Mesi's kitchen, the food was delicious and friendly, helpful service.
the most lovingly-prepared, flavourful, and wholesome food! highly recommend
A very enjoyable evening with delicious shared food well presented with delightful service.
Despite the size of the plate, portions were quite small for the price. Attached picture was to feed 4 (2 portions of Mesi's Combo, 1 portion of chicken stew and 1 portion of beef stew) and came up to £65. Food seems authentic. Friendly service.
We had never tried Ethiopian food before and we went and it was such a lovely experience. The owner, Mesi, was serving us and she clearly loves her restaurant and she took such good care of us. The food was fantastic. If you want high quality food at great prices without lots of frills then you should definitely go here.
We had a great night at Mesi. The welcome was warm and really friendly and the night just continued from there.
Some of the group had not head Ethiopian food before so we were helped with the menu and chose a sharing dish with a variety of options to try. It was fun using fingers to eat and wrapping up curry and lentils the injura. The food was fantastic, so tasty and rich.
To finish off we had the coffee ceremony which involved our coffee beans being roasted and then ground for our pot of coffee. The coffee was rich and so tasty and the theatre of it all made the night.
We will definitely go back and would highly recommend Mesi for a great meal.
Mesi is as warm and welcoming as her restaurant. Coupled with delicious Ethiopian food this makes for a great dining experience.
Really lovely service, very accommodating and kind to go through the menu with us as it was our first time. It was a quieter evening in the restaurant and I would definitely recommend try the Hummus.
Food was nice, but had better. Service was terrible, we had to wait 50 minutes for our food to arrive. There was only one person serving, she even helped out in the kitchen.
We received a reminder from Open Table a day before the reservation but when we turned up the restaurant was closed for a two week vacation!!!
Lovely place to eat and terrific value, staff very friendly and helpful. I will be coming back.
Wonderful little place with fantastically generous portions. The tasting platter for two was enormous. The meat portions looked deceptively small due to the gigantic plate it was served on but, between the two of us, we could barely get through the thing. All that for £24 total or so. Bargain. And it was so, so good.
Wine was also reasonably priced and service was good if inattentive. Relaxed atmosphere and laid back - great for a quiet one.
Satisfying and filling food. Friendly staff, helpful with suggestions / recommendations.
Food was delicious. Exceeded my expectations. Service a little slow but super smiley
This was my second visit to Mesi's Kitchen in the same week. I usually find one Ethiopian meal is sufficient to satisfy me for a year... but not this time... I wanted more! Definately the best Ethiopian restaraunt I've been to in North London, the injera is fresh and just right. The stews (wot) were delicious (Tibs is highly recommended - but I also think that the Doro Wot was the best I've eaten outside of Ethiopia). Service is warm and welcoming - this is one of the best places I've eaten ever.
Never had Ethiopian food before and was very impressed with the taste and the presentation. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Friday night which was a bit odd, but it only contributed to the great service. The restaurant feels really authentic with the music and the decoration. Overall, a great find and will visit again.
Great food in a relaxed setting. The owner is super nice and very smily, but be prepared to wait for service, even if the place is all-but-empty.
This was our second visit to this unique and outstanding restaurant serving authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The menu is varied and offers something for all. The vegetarian options are particularly imaginative and very tasty! The service in this family run restaurant is friendly and helpful and the welcome we received on arrival was particularly warm. Highly recommended.
