The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. Would definitely go back
Great place and look forward to outdoor dining one weather cools
I took my husband here for a romantic birthday dinner for 2. It was beautiful out on the water, with the swans swimming by. We went right after sunset and the weather had cooled down a bit. The food and drinks were delicious. The server, Gabby, was really attentive and she made a special dessert plate for my husband. It was such a nice touch. We will definitely be back!
The delightful setting and view makes up for mediocre food
Fabulous vest describes our evening! Fantastic staff/-/accommodating- knock- great food/ the place d is Guthrie’s. Could use a bit more extensive dinner menu but all of our dinners/appetizers were great! My go to place!
Sat for breakfast outside at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and we were the only guests at that time. Beautiful and serene. Service was polite and attentive. Food was great. No complaints.
Great service, casual and comfortable setting with view of lake. Food was excellent. We will be back
Four of us sat by that water and had a very nice dinner. 3 of us had the steak and fries and loved it.
Our Flat iron Steak was tough, raw on the inside, charred on the outside, not very flavorful. Shrimp & Scallops on Risotto was fair, not a lot of flavor. Risotto was a little runny. The Charcuterie had the same weird flavor drizzled all over.
Great company, and atmosphere, but sub par food for the $300. + that was spent.
We had an amazing time and the coconut lemon pancakes are a must try !
Maybe just an off day BUT brunch menu had unavailable items (Croque Madame) on an already limited menu and two out of six orders were incorrect and food barely edible.
They were short staffed so no champagne flutes and service was terrible.
It was a very casual service level - they were all very nice - super focused on service - appetizers were outstanding we tried many of them and they were all so tasty. The entrees were a little lacking in the flavor area - they looked great but didn’t really deliver and flavor - don’t let this stop you - order up on apprentices they were all so very worth the visit. The service was outstanding and the water front dining was so nice in the desert.
Was a good selection for girlfriends lunch out. Salads for all of us and they were good with fresh ingredients, including the added Salmon and shrimp were good.
Food and server was excellent. It was hot out on the patio
We found that it was too quite music wise and would have had a better vibe with the music a little louder.
We could here most people’s conversations , when we would have liked a bit of music during dinner.
Also , the greater when we arrived was not very welcoming , he was not rude but a ‘ good evening ‘ and a smile would have been nice.
Food was very good , wine was great
We sat outside with a beautiful view of the lake on a quiet Wednesday evening celebrating a special occasion. We shared the bacon wrapped dates as a starter along with the sliders. Both were quiet tasty, highly recommend the dates starter.
My husband ordered the chicken piccata which was tender and well seasoned. The seasonal vegetables included the cutest baby squash that were cooked to perfection. I had the scallop and prawn risotto dish which was delicate but filling. The risotto was creamy and tasty.
They have a great wine list available as well as a full bar. The creme brûlée is delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate cake as well.
The pork dinner was amazing. I’m still dreaming about it a week later. Best dinner I’ve ever had
Meh. Servers were not wearing face coverings (I know it’s no longer required) and while the outdoor patio was wide-open they sat us and every other party right next to one another. My wedge salad had old brown lettuce and was not chilled. My wife ordered two appetizers - one to be served as a main course. Both came out as appetizers - so one had to sit while waiting for my main course. The bar’s CO2 tank was out as wife’s “sparkling water” and my gin and tonic were both flat. Wife ordered an Aperol Spritz which was made incorrectly. My entree, shrimp and scallops with risotto was ok - scallops were soggy and shrimp were tough. Edible, but nothing special. Not a single plate was removed from the table the entire dinner until a busboy appeared after we received our bill and asked if we wanted any plates removed. Finally - the flies that came out at dusk were unbearable. Had we not been done with our dinner we would have left early because of the swarm of flies. Overall highly disappointing.
Food was so colorful and tasted amazing. We dined on a weekday evening and it was very quiet.
We had planned for a quiet, romantic, dinner for our anniversary. You sure delivered!
Local favorite. Love the feel of the restaurant. Good food and service is always great.
Atmosphere fantastic! The outdoor patio is beautiful. The lake and mountain view add to the ambiance. Staff was attentive food has its own flare. What a great brunch place.
Beautiful place a little unsettled when you walk in because there wasn't a maitre'D
great experience have been here before will come again! Did not disappoint
Great food with a very nice ambiance! Will definitely go back!
Dined there for dinner. Patio was in complete shade which was perfect. Lovely setting overlooking the lake and the homes surrounding it. Food and service were very good. Prices were fair.
My daughter and I had dinner out by the water. Our sever was super friendly and we loved her outgoing personality. The food was beautifully presented and tasted pretty good, however, definitely overpriced. All in all a decent meal, but our server (I wish I could remember her name) was the best part.
Disappointing. We have been there in the past when the food was excellent. Not going back. Too bad because the setting on the water is very special.
My friend and I hadn’t had a lunch date for months so I decided we should go to Melange as it is beautiful there by the water We had a lovely table in the shade. The food js always great.
Nice location but terrible service. We ordered the hummus plate and finished it before the toasted pita bread arrived. Server’s mask kept falling off her nose. Nobody asked us if we wanted another drink order. The mushroom tart was the only memorable thing about our meal.
Had a lovely brunch on the outside deck with amazing service and ambience!
Mario was great and so was the food. Thank you Melange.
My wife and I have been coming here since we moved to the valley and it is one our favorite "out of the way" places to relax and enjoy ourselves. We took some friends last night and was a bit disappointed. Everything has been turned upside down by the COVID lockdowns and I don't think Melange has hit its stride yet. I am a chef here in the valley and I know how hard it is to find the right staff that can honestly represent your establishment and food so I can not judge to harshly. I know how great this place was before and I know it will get there again.
Great setting and vibrant patio life overlooking the lake while dining. Enjoy 🤗
Limited menu for Mother’s Day, but still ample choices.
The lemon, coconut pancakes were the best I’ve ever tasted. Kept taking bites from my husband’s. Another person ordered the tallest order of French toast I’ve ever seen and said it was delicious. The shrimp, goat cheese and asparagus omelet was dry and lacking in goat cheese. Probably should have sent it back, but the potato hash was excellent and an extremely generous portion.
The only really strange thing was when I called to add a 5th person to our group, I was told they were completely booked and couldn’t accommodate even 1 more person. We had a 1PM reservation and there were 2 tables set for six spaced away , but adjacent to us. When we left at 2:30 the tables were still unoccupied and they close at 3. Weird even with pandemic restrictions.
Jessica was a fabulous server.
Would definitely go back.
So disappointed by the service here. Beginning with not being greeted by a host. We were early and when he did finally greet us he was rude. We had a cocktail at the bar while we waited--stick with wine. We were finally seated on their beautiful patio. There were only about 7 other parties seated in the entire restaurant and it took us flagging down a waitress after 15-20 minutes to even get water. The waitress was very rude, made excuses, and didn't apologize for our lack of service. After an even longer wait we ordered drinks and food at the same time. We were seated at 7:45 and it wasn't until around 8:30 that we received our wine, which the waitress brashly set on the table and dashed away. Anytime she spoke to us she kept saying stuff like, "You guys have never been servers have you? If you're ever a server one day you'll understand". We were nothing but polite to her the entire time. We weren't served our appetizer until 8:50 and even longer for our main course. There were several parties seated after us who received their drinks and food before we did. The food was good, but incredibly overpriced (I may have justified the price if the service had been better). Throughout the night, the entire staff constantly made excuses about how crazy crowded the restaurant was, though there really weren't many people dining at all.
Several cockroaches skittered by our feet, which may be the nature of being in the desert, but still is not something you want to see while eating. Overall the experience was a letdown, which is unfortunate because the patio and the view really is gorgeous. The whole experience was difficult to enjoy. I might try dining here again in 6 months or so when the restaurant has had a chance to hire and train a better staff.
They got overbooked with a large group. Food was very slow to appear.
Front desk person was rude. Limited indoor seating but the food was good and the other staff were friendly. Ambiance has potential but the overall vibe felt a bit lackluster.
Someone also reported here us as a no show despite the fact that we checked in before being seated. This was a first for me as I always either show of cancel in advance if I can’t make it. Disappointed.
