Service was excellent, atmosphere is delightfully quaint and the menu is diverse with daily specials. There are a variety of dishes influenced from various Mediterranean countries.
One of the best in Naples
Our food and service was fantastic. The Spanish octopus is a must try and the lamb shank special was so tender you didn't need a knife. Request a table outside.
One of the best in Naples and very reasonably priced. Lovely and quiet place in a great neighborhood but on a quiet street. You can actually hold a quiet conversation there while enjoying great food and service in a charming spot. We're repeat visitors.
Lovely ocean atmosphere and music brings you right into the mediterranean spirit. Great food and very attentive wait staff. They aim to please. Outdoor dining is superb, indoor dining is inviting, although a bit noisy the night we were there due to a private party of 12.
As far as the food went, the cioppino was good but chicken francese was quite bland with literally 2 capers in the caper sauce. We were having dinner with friends that we had not seen in a long time and we wanted to have a drink and some appetizers first. But, the waitress was really rushing us to order and kept coming back every 3 minutes until we ordered our meals. They food came before we were done with the appetizers and honestly we felt so rushed that we did not enjoy our meal. We would not go back again.
We have been coming to Naples for 4 years but had never tried this restaurant. A friend suggested we try it so we were able to snag a last minute reservation and do just that. We were beyond pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious and well presented, service was awesome and the atmosphere was nice, I loved the colors, so calm and soothing. We shall return.
Mediterano is a bit of Europe in Old Naples. We sat on the open patio, which was filled with beautiful greenery, white tablecloths and azure accessories ( water goblets, candles). The food is superb. My husband I I split a wonderful beet salad, then I had the chicken with figs/apricots, and my husband had shrimp with risoto.Absolutely wonderful!
Ate there on a Friday night and were seated outside on the charming patio. It wasn’t noisy at all but my husband said it was inside. The food was very good and the gluten free flourless chocolate cake was fantastic. But the service topped it all. Everyone was very attentive and nice including the manager (or owner). But our server, Nas, was extremely patient with us as we were having a difficult time making decisions.
the food was generally very good. Not too much accommodation for those of us with allergies however. Atmosphere was delightful but noisy and crowded. Out door area was lovely.
The host was fun and friendly. We had a great romantic date here. We feasted on lamb that tasted of a delicious combination of spices. So authentic whether you have the lamb or paella, fish stew or other offerings Everyone there was pleasantly yumming!
Very pretty place
The restaurant hits it out of the box for decor & ambiance. You feel like you are eating in a flower garden. It is a unique setting. The color palette throughout is Florida and soothing. Unfortunately we both chose the same menu. We had very good grape leaves as an appetizer and salmon as the entree. They were nicely presented. The salmon was accompanied by couscous and vegetables. They were fine. The salmon was dry.
We will go back again because it was so nicely done & pleasant but will be sure to try something else and each have something else on the menu. We do not want to discount it based on one visit.
It was a great evening (early), perfect for the occasion (valentines day/birthday. Great location in town, parking nearby, fabulous food and service.
Very good, well looked after, food delicious, ambience OK, very busy, our first time and were seated last table outside along public walkway and in front of furniture store window display with people walking by and then walking close to our table to window shop at next door business. It was a beautiful evening so made up for it.
When u reserve for outdoor it should be outdoor! Other than that it was a great dinner
We went for Valentine's day for the second time. Had to wait a little while for an outside table, but it was well worth the wait. I had the braised lamb which was fork tender as advertised. The sides were made to perfection and the lentil/pea soup was wonderful. My wife had the salmon, expertly prepared and presented. Our waiter could not have been more helpful. He was attentive and knew the menu well. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we were able to talk in a normal speaking voice with very little back ground noise. Amazing!! We will be back.
Usually love this place but the Valentine's crowd caused service to be very slow. In at 4:25 and out at 6:15. We had 3 courses and had to grab the server each time (one time the manager). The lamb shank was very good, as well as the salad.
Great menu of assorted Mediterranean dishes.
This is a great restaurant, Naples if filled with great restaurants and this is my favorite.
This was our first time and what a wonderful find this place is! The food was fabulous, the staff - from the hostess who greeted us to our impeccable server - were excellent. We started with the Flaming Cheese Saganaki (amazing), went to salads and soup (her salad was georgous and very tasty, my soup was hearty and well flavored), then finished with a Shrimp Risotto dish (also very beautiful and tasty enough that I was jealous it wasn't mine!) and the Beef Tagine (tender meat, great roasted potatoes - a mix of savory and some sweetness). Honestly, we loved everything about this place and was already planning our next visit at the table. Well worth checking out if you haven't already.
The romaine was rusty and my beef pot roast dish was dry.
Not happy with the experience. Probably would not go back.
Very nice..excellent food, great waiters
I have been meaning to go to Mediterrano for some time and I’m happy I finally made it! The food is great- interesting flavors and has a healthy feel to it! I’ll be back!
Waiter never came back to ask how our food was
Attentive owner, excellent efficient staff and unique menu choices combined to produce an exceptional overall dining experience for all four of us. The food was tasty and contained complex flavors without being heavy or overpowering. Was a pleasantly warm evening and the outdoor setting, sitting under the orchids, provided a pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely return and recommend this restaurant without hesitation.
Excellent service with very tasty wholesome food..! Vegan friendly with an amazing vegan paella and delicious gazpacho soup ..plus other choices ..! Surrounded by flowers and friendly, professional service ..!
My husband and I are regulars here because of the consistent wonderful service and food. Our favorites: strawberry and watermelon salad, hummus, fig and apricot chicken, and most recently, the vegetable paella. The owner is always working to make sure every table is enjoying their experience and is genuinely one of the nicest people I've met. The patio is one of the best in Old Naples because it's just far enough away from the louder areas on 3rd so that you can actually hear the conversation of the people you are dining with. There's a reason this restaurant is consistently in the top-rated restaurants in Naples on Trip Advisor....experience it for yourself!
This was our first visit to this restaurant despite being locals. We were very pleasantly surprised. The branzino was excellent. And my papparadelle pasta was quite good. Equally as good as Campiello’s. So overall, I’ll give them a 9. We will definitely return. The outside patio is charming with all of their flowers.
