It was very nice and we all enjoyed the food.
Thai food was excellent! Loved the Penang curry and summer shrimp rolls especially.
amazing authentic Thai food! all our dishes were delicious as were the cocktails. The place is super busy & a lot of locals ordering takeout. Efficient service despite the crowds Highly recommend
The food was delicious here. Every dish we had was delicious especially the shrimp pad Thai and the crab fried rice. Service was pleasant and very nice. If you are looking for a casual dinner with delicious Thai food, I highly recommend Maui Thai.
It was a good thai restaurant. What you would expect. Food was good and service was good. Pieces were reasonable. Good spot to take the family.
The food was terrific. Try the oxtail soup, so tasty!
Had the calamari, spring roles, and papaya salad to start. All were very good. Papaya salad a touch soggy, but spicy/sweet seasoning and flavor was on point. Had noodles and seafood chef's special which was excellent. In a small strip mall, but worth finding
We checked in at 7pm the server said they were very backed up and our order would take 20 minutes to come out, we said no problem.
After one hour and fifteen minutes of waiting for 2 curry dishes we paid for two drinks and had to try and find somewhere else to eat.
It seems the Restaurant patrons were a lower priority than people ordering for pick up and delivery. Very disappointed with the lack of organization at this restaurant they seem to be all about packing people in and also taking non stop phone orders.
Great food, not great service.
Outstanding value, great food
Food was great!
What a nice surprise to find this wonderful Thai restaurant in Kihei ~ so pleasant and what wonderful food…wish we had this in Tucson, Az!!
Went here during our honeymoon. Macadamia nut panang curry was some of the best we have ever had and we eat Thai food often. Will definitely be back.
Some unique dishes along with some standard fare.
The food was amazing. Spicy truly is spicy. Wish the service was better
Service was poor. We had a 5:45 pm reservation. We were a party of 8 with 2 kids under 2. We were forced to place our whole order and rushed to put in the order within 5 minutes. Our server told us we cannot add anything to the order since the kitchen is very backed up with take out order and other tables haven’t received their orders. Within 5 min of placing the order, the apps were on the table. We did not ever finish the apps and the entrees were on the table. The whole meal was finished within 45 minutes. They basically lied to us about the kitchen being backed up to get us out of the restaurant. There were no lines, no wait, and empty tables. Very disappointed with the service. Of course we were obligated to give an 18% tip give the size of our party.
Excellent food and service. Prepared just as we asked for! Quick service, friendly servers!
Restaurant was extremely busy, but the staff did a great job and the food was outstanding.
As my husband said, this is the best Thai food he has ever had, including in Thailand. We had calamari app- unbelievable sauce with it.. came as strips instead of ringlets. I had the chili mahi which was good; but my husband had the oxtail soup (for 4) which had such a tasty broth that I enjoyed it as well. He also had the drunken mahi which had such a great flavor, I almost switched dishes with him. Our daughter had the chicken satay and shrimp rolls- both tasty. Highly recommend- go earlier as they don’t really seem to have the service aspect down and we were at our table far longer than necessary and there were multiple people waiting for our table when we left. Worth it for the food.. tons of people doing take out, which is another option.
Best Thai food I have had anywhere. Total hidden gem on Maui. Loved it!
Supapan was our waitress last night and she was wonderful! Kind, efficient service and not to mention delicious and fresh Thai food. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing kua curry with beef short rib! The fried pork rolls and crab cakes were delicious too! A must try. Going back for sure.
Maui Thai bistro is located in a strip mall and from the outside doesn’t look like much but don’t be discouraged. The food is fabulous, the staff is attentive and the price can’t be beat. If you are looking for something a little different while in Maui, definitely check them out.
The Maui Thai Bistro is a good restaurant with decent food that is reasonable priced. One problem: Not enough employees. The poor waitress had to rush constantly and had to be the bartender too. The restaurant has a bar but no bartender. Another small issue, the young gentlemen delivering our soup bowls and plates had his thumb in the bowel, while putting it on the table. Maybe the owners should teach their servers about hygiene. More small issues: I was happy that they have Stella on tab. Unfortunately the beer was almost frozen and therefore tasted like nothing. Maybe the owner does not know that beer, especially European beer should never be served below 40 degrees (42 is idea. Yes Anheuser Busch beer tastes to bad, you have to almost freeze it to be able to drink it).
There are more small issues, but it looks like the owners are overwhelmed or may do not care. Too bad, Maui Thai Bistro could be a really 5-Star place.
Great food and service for moderate prices
Really great authentic food, but the service was lacking towards the end of our meal. We had to ask the guy bringing out entrees for a box, and go up to the counter for our checks after not seeing our waitress for 20 minutes. Otherwise, a great experience.
Very bland curry, out of spring rolls at 4:30p, service was rushed.
Amazing food and service.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We went there twice while we were in Maui since its food was so good. Make sure to order the chicken wings which were crispy, flavorful, and tender! The macadamia nut curry also tasted amazing, and it was different from all the other curry we’ve tried at Thai restaurants.
delicious curry. my friend who has a gluten allergy was pleased to see a gluten free menu.
Maui Bistro was amazing! It feels like a little kept secret because we had reservations but there wasn’t anyone there when we arrived. Highly recommend from moctails, appetizers, and entrees!
Delicious. Massaman curry with short ribs excellent. Pad Thai yummy. Great cocktails. They made my picky eater daughter a special dish of plain chicken Breast, broccoli and white rice. Lovely dining experience. We would return and recommend for a delicious Thai food.
Maui Thai Bistro was a great experience. We had Red Curry, Drunken Chicken, Chicken Satay and Hawaiian Fried Rice, all were amazing! Prices were great, a try value in Maui!
Great food, great service!
We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Service was friendly and fast. The crab wontons were excellent. Shrimp spring rolls were good. My husband had the pumpkin curry (medium spicy) and he really liked it. Cocktails were very tasty. Crab fried rice was good, but I don't think I'd order it again. It was our anniversary and we received a scoop of caramel ice cream, which was excellent. We would definitely visit Maui Thai again.
Service and food was amazing!!
Very authentic food in a no-thrills, strip mall location. Prices a bit elevated due to being in Maui, but portions are good sized and everything tastes great. Interesting cocktails worthy of a try.
Excellent menu !
We were a little early for our reservation and were seated right away. Immediately the waitress pressured us to get our order in because the kitchen was backing up. We felt rushed the entire time and it was 445 in the evening with many open tables. At one point I ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc and she brought me a chardonnay instead and insisted that i drink it. We enjoyed the green curry but the service was very rushed and strange
