Always enjoy the ambiance and the atmosphere. This trip the bread and salad courses were very good as usual. The main entree of Chicken Pharm and the pasta side was Luke warm at best and not very flavorful. Unfortunate.

Each of the four of us felt this was one of the two best meals we had during our week on Maui. Three of us had the specials that evening (Chicken Parmesan, Gnocchi (with and without shrimp) and the other had Carbonara. We split salads and also had Bruschetta plus the basket of bread served complimentary and finished with two desserts. All of the food was delicious. Michael, our server, was very professional and personable. Along with the table servers, they were attentive without being annoying. While not on the water, there is outdoor seating that is covered and provides a nice dining atmosphere. Highly recommend Matteo's in place of the many of the beachfront options in Kaanapali that are essentially the same menu under different restaurant names.

My Mom and I started off with a Mista Salad. I asked if I could have something other than goat cheese, and Kiana rattled off a bunch of options. I settled for Burrata Cheese. It was Fabulous. My husband got the Ceasar Salad. We had the lasagna, Butter nut squash ravioli and the black ink pasta with seafood...ALL DELICIOUS. There was a special dessert - a lemon meringue tart that was outstanding and I got a tiramisu as a birthday surprise. Everything that evening was perfect. Oh, and so were the Lemon Drops that Mom and I enjoyed. Shout out to Kiana who was an excellent server. Can't wait to go back.

We love Matteo’s! This is our third or fourth time on our third or fourth visit to Maui. We normally stay in Wailea and it’s just right up the street from where we are, but this time we stayed in Kaanapali and we drove an hour just to go to Mateo‘s. We were so happy to be there again. It looked just like it always does with the same stellar service, menu, delicious food, and good times! We’re so happy we made the trip will do it every time we come here maybe more than once! Highly recommend. Best kept secret! I had the seafood pasta dish, which, unfortunately, the name escaped to me, but it was modified for me as I requested, and my husband had the Bolognese, which is “his” dish- this was the best he’s had!

This restaurant was highly recommended to us so we jumped at the chance to make a reservation. It was not a super busy night, but it seemed the servers had many tables at once. Took a while before our table was touched by our server. Drinks were good, Aperol Sprtiz and Limoncello Spritz! Food was good, but value is questionable. $18.00 for a Caesar Salad/ starter size. Lasagna was good and Eggplant Parmesan appetizer was good. Overall, just OK

Had a wonderful dinner for my friend Karen’s birthday. The soup was amazingly yummy. All our dinners were so good we hardly had room for desert (but somehow we managed😆) Our server Kiana was wonderful and made sure that our evening was extra special! Thank you Kiana!
