Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro
Short Rib Hash
Yukon gold potato, braised short rib, roasted asparagus, cherry tomatoes, two eggs your way and chive hollandaise sauce
We made this reservation based on the outdoor seating image, however Market 92 was only inside. Also, finding the restaurant parking at the resort grounds was a bit challenging. The wonderful hostess at Market 92 helped us move outdoors at the companion restaurant but getting a table was complicated and service there was very slow. However the weather was beautiful, there was a great Jazz band and we eventually got our drinks and small plates. The fish tacos were great!
Food, service and wine list were outstanding in Marker 92 but the ambience needs updating. We had an after dinner drink in the bar and it was much more comfortable than the restaurant.
Very good restaurant in the hotel. Convenient, nice food selection and the service is very good.
Pork chops were very dry. Waitress explained there is a special process for cooking the meat. I love pork chops but these were too dry. I only had a few bites. Expected much more.
Excellent, great waiter
They were understaffed, and even though the restaurant was not full, it took a long time for the waitress to come around each time.
Had a 6:30pm reservation. The early seating at our table was “still there” so we waited. And waited. Finally seated at 7:10pm at a “different table”. Once seated we noticed several open table that would have been fine. Probably a process regarding seating times...
Server was slow, missed parts of our order, tried to cover it up with fake charm.
The food was the shining spot of the experience. Great food, well prepared, good flavor combinations.
Of course, any spot on the water has good ambiance.
While our experience wasn’t great, I’d try again since the food was very good and the ambiance was right.
Real menu not as depicted on Open Table. Nothing more than a basic hotel restaurant.
The restaurant was rather pricey and the quality of the food was fair at best. I ordered tuna and it had no flavor and the texture was strange. Also, I ordered a "virgin" drink from the menu and was told the policy is to charge the same as the drink with liquor. So I paid $9 for a glass of pomegranate juice! I wouldn't return.
This was our second, and last, visit to Marker 92. It wasn't any better than our initial experience about a year ago. My physical disabilities certainly didn't help the situation. Parking is not easy and valet is overly expensive ($10) for a "hotel" restaurant. The menu is very limited and hardly represents a seafood restaurant. Our server tried his hardest to sustain a cohesive meal, but it wasn't enough to hold it all together. There are too many other options.
leider viele Moskitos im Aussenbereich , aber es wird spray
Zur Verfügung gestellt dann okax
Dined at Marker 92 with friends we only occasionally see. The whole nights experience at both Marker 92 and Nauti Mermaid was high quality. Staff was attentive and pleasant; food was excellent; beverages were good and abundant!
Nice ambiance although eating inside. We were not told of a buffet option when placing order that we noticed table next to us get with a different server. Soup order came before our drinks. We had requested bread order with soup, it did not come. Asked again for bread and still took quite awhile. Large beat salad entree, though artistic, was crazy small. Drinks sounded good, but both drinks tasted identical though different ones ordered. Food was fairly good but not for price and other things factored in.
Too little wait staff! We were there for 3 hours and never got another drink and had to get someone to get us water! The food was great but they can’t handle a crowd of 30 people!
My third and probably last visit here. Service was very slow. Kitchen not that busy but obviously disorganized. Our food was acceptable but nothing special. In the past, this venue was top shelf but has slipped. Needs help.
The restaurant had a nice ambiance. The food was very good. I had Mahi Mahi with beets and brown rice. It was a decent sized portion of fish. My husband had the Angus burger. There was no way he could eat it as presented. There was huge pile of onion straws on top that made the burger at least 8” tall. He had to disassemble it and eat with a knife and fork, but he said it was good. It was a dramatic presentation but not very practical to eat. Other diners gasped when it was brought out. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant evening. We would definitely return.
We went for a Thanksgiving Buffet. The selection was excellent, plenty of choices for sides and they were well prepared, turkey was done to perfection, the ham was moist, the prime rib was tough but well prepared. In addition to the carving table there was also crab legs and shrimp that were very tasty. Our server was very attentive.
It was a Thursday night, 6:00 seating, hardly anyone in the dining room and a few tables outside. We sat inside not wanting to be bothered by the no-seeums. Waitstaff was introduced and we were given menus. So far so good. Ordered drinks and main entrees at same time. Then waited at least 25 minutes, til waiter returned saying " it wouldn't be long". When ask why so long a wait, his response was "I put your order in, I don't know". Thankfully, all our selections were very good. Sufficient portions, fresh ingredients. In summary, at these menu prices, service and wait times need to come up ALOT. We will think about returning here and having to deal with such poor service. Thank you.
This was our first visit to Marker 92 and we were pleasantly surprised. There were a number of unflattering reviews on OpenTable, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Our meals were fantastic and our server was very attentive. We would like to dine outside in the future and take advantage of the great views. We will definitely be back!
Nice ambiance outside with water, marina and related activity close by. Good menu choices, good waitress response and interaction, and really tasty food. A nice find.
The food was fine, however the service was terribly slow. And because we were a group of 6 we got stuck for a 20% gratuity. She barely earned 15%.
The food was very disappointing for the price point. However, the staff was very accommodating and friendly,
Wonderful atmosphere, food and waiter. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
Actual menu at this place does not even resemble the menu listed on Open Table. Was very limited today. Great pineapple gazpacho, but fish on tacos was overdone and dry.
This may be a seasonal problem, but at least Open Table needs to upgrade the menu.
Based on the menus listed on OT and the number of “stars” my wife and I drove from Estero to Cape Coral, paying $2.00 in tolls to get what we thought would be a good meal in a good settings. We were disappointed.
Great food, excellent service, and a beautiful waterfront view.
We sat for 25 minutes before a server came to our table. She was less than attentive. We were told the restaurant had a quiet ambiance, yet extremely noisy people were seated immediately adjacent to us. When making the reservation we asked for a quiet, romantic dinner; It didn't turn out that way. We will not return.
This was our first time to Maker 92 and while in Orlando we went back several times because it was so good!! Service was great and food was amazing.
VACA! Our server Chris was great. My burger cooked MR was delicious. Flatbread Margueritta disappeared as fast as it took to serve. My wife’s Fish Taco’s were good, a little too much mayo dressing, needed something more acidic... Chris suggested a corn-citrous-cilantro addition (in lieu of missing pico de gallo). The drinks kept coming... & the evening was nicely fulfilled! Thank you!
I have seen Marker 92 ads pop up from time to time and as we wanted some waterfront dining with friends on Mommy Day, though we'd check it out. Sooooooo, what we had was a $131 dinner (incld $20 tip, no alcohol) meal with a view. The venue is really great - service was perfect, good was as close to mediocre as it can get. When you pay top dollar - filet was $45 - you expect near perfection. And that plate was not cold but approaching it, so much so, mentioned it to the server who offered to replace. Everyone else's food was OK but again, when you're looking at over $50/person without booze, it needs to be pretty superb.
The outdoor setting was excellent. We love the marina life and there was great breeze, perfect temp. It was not crowded at all - again tells you the food prep could have been better as no one was rushed to get it out. We saw a lot of people ordering fish tacos - looked great - so our conclusion was - def come back - hang at the cool marina bar - eat some fish tacos, enjoy the view and the great staff serving it all up.
one last comment- when we were leaving, we walked past the kitchen/warming counter area - now i know NOTHING about warming counter area light/heat but first thing that struck me was the lamps were too high above the food to have any real affect. realize there's a balance between warm and dried out but something def needs to be looked at around food serving temps.
back soon for those fish tacos and a cold one.
I was expecting the food to be top notch, but it fell flat in taste. For the price I expected better quality and flavor.
Beautiful evening and we sat outside. The restaurant was quiet and consequently the service was excellent and the timing of the cocktails, appetizers and entrees were "spot on." Our waitress Nicole was very attentive. However the menu was over priced. A crab cake for $16? and the tenderloin for $45, altho very good, didn't justify the price. It was a celebration of my daughter's birthday, who requested your restaurant however, it'll be a long time before we return.
Friends visiting from out of town
We were staying at the Haytt on vacation and ate at Marker 92. The food was very good as was the service.
My husband loved his perfectly cooked medium rare prime rib, I enjoyed the short ribs
The view is beautiful, the Westin property great, the breakfast expensive and disappointing.
To order breakfast and then have to pay $5.00 for the English muffin to go with the eggs, was ridiculous. Give me a break, $5.00 for fresh squeezed multiple juices, ok... For toast or English, no.
My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We were staying overnight at the Westin hotel which is where Marker 92 is. There are two other restaurants attached to the hotel, but we thought Marker 92 would be the nicest out of the three. I'll start with a positive - I was able to book a reservation at very short notice. Our shrimp cocktail appetizer was pricey and the shrimp were not cooked well. My husband's entree was scallops, four scallops...he said they were tasty, but expected a few more for the price. I had plantain crusted grouper, I don't think it was real Grouper. It was very dry and rather small. The sauce and rice that came with it were pretty good - the vegetables not so much. Our waitress was very nice, but it seemed to take a long time in between courses. There was live music playing by the entrance for a while, but it was too loud to have a conversation at a normal voice level. And, for some reason, there was a large table of tween boys in the center of the room that didn't seem to have an adult with them. They were a little loud, and frequently going in and out of the doors leading from inside the restaurant to the outdoor area. My husband and I don't get out much, and we were hoping for a much nicer dinner experience than the one we had. I'll end on a positive note as well...the chocolate cheesecake was absolutely delicious! We will definitely stay at the Westin again, but I think we'll dine elsewhere.
We celebrated My birthday at Marker 92 and it was an excellent choice. It was our first visit but it won’t be our last. The food was excellent and the staff outstanding. Thanks for a memorable evening!
Nicole is the best server at Marker92!
Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the marina at the Westin Cape Coral. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and had an open kitchen. Both inside and outside views were scenic with the marina, palm trees and the sunset. Bathrooms were clean and what I would expect in an upscale restaurant. There is a medium sized outdoor bar overlooking the water with lots of surrounding seating and a fire pit. They had a live band playing near the bar on the evening we went. The band ended early and we wished they had stayed longer for some after-dinner dancing. Our server was attentive, we were not at all rushed, the food was delivered timely and overall the food was very good. There are a few shops along the marina and a long dock that circles around the marina which makes for a nice stroll before or after dinner. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend this restaurant, especially during the winter when it's comfortable to sit outside and enjoy the panoramic view.
