A friend recommended Marche and we are so glad she did! Best farm to table dining in Eugene. Loved all the plant=based dishes, and the pickle platter was awesome. By far one of my best meals this year. And I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Highly recommended, as well as Provisions Market. The casual food counter there is excellent, especially the salad bar.
We sat at the counter and had quite the show watching the line prep the dishes and it was fun to see the beautiful plates coming out of the kitchen. Very inspiring!
Fantastic food and great service. We asked the server for a wine recommendation and it was perfect! The dessert recommendation was outstanding. Our favorite Eugene restaurant!
The octopus was amazing. Trio of lamb - wonderful. Wine pairings. Cody was a knowledgeable and attentive server. Chef's counter. It was a perfect evening.
Delightful place - delicious food, great wine selection and outstanding service. We went back on only a 3 day stay!
An outstanding dining choice in Eugene for the most basic of reasons: the food and the service. Even with a pleasant outdoor dining area (with the ubiquitous flaming heaters as added entertainment), the decor is comfortable but basic, and would never make you forget you're in an downtown mall. But what really counts is the dining experience, and Marche delivers in spades. Our wait persons (yes, plural) were knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and very helpful. Your glass was never empty, nor a dirty plate left sitting. Bill, our chief server, gave us useful and intelligent descriptions of the offerings. All of the staff have mastered that fine art of serving without getting in the way.
And the food was wonderful. Solidly based on seasonal local products, the menu offers a wide range of dishes. The appetizer, or "starters," were especially varied and intriguing. The charcuterie board was filled many different pates, salamis, pickled vegetables, terrines. The chicken livers were superb; the oysters tasty. The deviled chicken had a good kick, but remained juicy and tender. The triple lamb combo of chop, sausage and leg was a lamb-lover's dream. The whole menu was a delight to explore.
The wait staff was excellent. We had a nice table. They brought bread and butter immediately after we sat down. The food was good but 2 out of 4 orders were not cooked as requested; one was overcooked and the other, too rare. The rare dish was sent back and returned so quickly that we assume they put the entrée in a microwave oven. The side dish of roasted veggies was still cool, in fact. They did nothing else to make amends, so it was a disappointing experience.
Excellent food.. each dish was full of flavor; the dishes made me want to savor each bite. The ingredients were unique but familiar. Classic French cuisine. It's location in a historic market added to the experience.
Great Bar choices and service. Our waiter Cody was exceptional given how busy he was.
Fantastic waiter and service! Food is outrageously delicious. Try the cheese board for both appetizer and dessert!
The menu was more limited, especially for fishetarians like us than usual. The Vouvray on the menu was acidic. Our dinners were less impressive than is usual, but the service and comfort were as usual.
We always look forward to our dinners here and are always pleased.
Excellent service and outstanding food
Loved everything about Marche!! The food is amazing and the staff rocks!
Quite possibly the best restaurant between San Francisco and Portland.
What an Eugene treasure - menu , food , service and overall experience a top shelf taste.
Great service and food. We had reservations on a graduation weekend. A rain storm came in. We sat outside under a tent. The waiters were attentive, hard working, polite and skilled. They did a great job taking care of us. Thank you. We will be back.
Marche never disappoints. Our fav!! We love going there for a romantic dinner or Sunday brunch. Always take out of town friends and family for a great dining experience. Service is always superb. And food is exceptional. Menu changes using seasonal foods.
Food was delayed between courses and came out cold. They were aware but did nothing but say sorry. Taste was okay but not good enough for the price. Go elsewhere for graduation dinners.
The ambiance was great. We had a nice evening, but pretty much each of us did not enjoy our meals as much as we had expected, and for the price we were disappointed.
We were on the road traveling from BC Canada heading to Ca. We make it a point to make this one of our stops. Everything was perfect, including our service by Ron.
I normally give Marche a 5 star rating. Service is always 5 Star. The raw oysters are always 5 Star. The steak frites however was very disappointing. I don’t understand how the chef ruined the tenderloin. It was terribly over cooked and stringy. We asked for medium. It wasn’t pink at all and it has no flavor because it was over cooked. Steak frites is normally a rib eye. We thought for sure the Tenderloin would be moist and tender. Very disappointing.
Oysters tasted great but there was sand and pieces of shell in them indicating the shucker was not very skilled
All around excellent. My favorite Eugene restaurant.
We were visiting in Eugene for a week and ate at Marche 4 times, 3 dinners and 1 lunch. Food is well prepared and presented, nice variety of items on the menu but not overwhelming. They were able to accommodate my dietary preferences without a fuss by eliminating the bacon on the chicken dish (which was tasty. )
We took our granddaughter for Sunday brunch. We all thought it was fantastic. It helped round out a special weekend for us all.
Food was very good. Service was well paced -this is important to us.
We all enjoyed our entrees though the ravioli proved to be unstuffed and somewhat doughy; the single glass wine menu, which changes provides good and interesting choices. We enjoyed the Vacqueyras.
Fabulous meal at the chef’s counter! The food and wine were outstanding, and we had a great time watching the chefs work on a busy night.
Excellent customer service from the waiter!
Better than perfect!!
Birthday celebration for my mom. We were able to sit outside on Marche’s beautiful patio. We lingered and didn’t eat a lot for our lunch, but our charcuterie platter, followed by soup and salad were wonderful. Our server was gracious with just the right amount of checking on us.
Excellent service from our waiter..Restaurant is very nice..Two of us had great trout special..oysters great..But kitchen doesn't know what medium well means..two of us got rare steaks.
First run of salmon served today was delicious and nice pairing with wine by the glass. Great cocktails. The March Manhattan is wonderful. Service by Joseph superb. We have gone to Marche for 15 years on average 1-2 time a month and 99% of our visits have been excellent.
Fabulous Mother's Day brunch! Great location and great food!
Overall the foods was average. The meatballs I ordered were very dry nothing we tenas very interesting
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. Overall, I think the food is quite good. However, this was my first time at the restaurant, and there were definitely many issues. Our waiter definitely had a bad day. My friend asked for a "taste" of a cider, and was brought a whole glass. Then, was brought 2 "tastes". My other friend ordered a glass a wine, which never arrived. I ordered a steak medium rare, and it arrived medium well to almost well done. I had to send it back, and then it took a long time for the steak to show up again. When the new steak came, it was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious, and they comped my steak, but the overall dining experience was ruined. When you go to a nicer restaurant and pay a certain amount of money, you expect a certain level of quality, service, and experience -- which it just didn't meet my expectations. However, the overall quality and flavor of the food was excellent.
Lovely lunch with a good friend I’d not seen in years. The food was excellent, our table was lovely and comfortable, and the service friendly. We love Marché!
A friend and I had a very enjoyable luncheon at Marche Restaurant. My favorite lunch entree is the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich. My friend had the hamburger and loved it as well. Very attentive service and comfortable booth we were seated in. Thank you!
As usual, the great food and drink with very competent staff make this restaurant the best in the area.
