The most reliably superb restaurant in this city!!! Excellent is an understatement!!!
The food and the service was outstanding, but it was just two of us and we were seated at a table for four. Our table was near large groups of people in a small area. It was quite noisy around the two of us. I wish we were better seated, but we were well served.
Mansur's food is always fantastic. The service is very professional and always attentive. The only thing to be careful with at Mansur's is the location of your table. If you are seated on the runway at the main entrance the traffic is very distracting. There are about 5 tables that are just in bad spots where everyone who enters the restaurant has to pass. Other than that be careful sitting too close to the piano. Despite her delightful sounds, it can get loud if you are at a table front and center. Otherwise, Mansur's is a delight and one of the finest places to dine in Baton Rouge.
This recent experience at Mansurs was average largely due cost. My wife and I each had a small salad, she had a steak and I had a piece of fish, and we shared a dessert. She had one drink and I had a soda. The bill for this was over $120 plus gratuity. I have been able to get a steak dinner for two at a upscale resturant for under $100. The quality of service would have been good except that the resturant seated four tables at the same time with the same waiter. It was impossible for him to provide quality service to all four tables at the same time. There were other service issues that I do not expect from an upscale resturant. On a positive note, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, due to cost and service, I would only give my overall experience as average/good. I will avoid going to this resturant again due to the cost of a meal.
It was my first time here and it was a date night, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and the grilled oysters at the bar were wonderful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees and the desert after was perfect! I will most certainly come back again.
Made our reservation through open table since we are out of towners! Sat us at table next to piano and needless to say we could not have a conversation! Our waiter gave us only half of specials on menu as we found out our choices after dining! Menus, water, bread , and drinks came out together! Our appetizer came out in a few minutes, followed by our entrees! Felt hurried with whole experience and just not pleasant! We use open table often because we travel
frequently and usually have good experiences!
Enjoyed romantic dinner with piano - cedar plank fish and mushroom appetizer were amazing.
Mansurs is the best restaurant in Baton Rouge. My husband and I love to dine here.
Had a great helpful waitress (Treva) and loved the duck and redfish was the biggest filet I have ever had and the soups were delicious--all 3 flavors-yummm. Charbroiled oysters were best ever. Will go back.
The day I have a bad meal at Mansurs will be a very sad day indeed. In 30 years that is never happened and I don't expect it to.I want to add that their wine selection is very good and the bartenders are generous with the liquor in your cocktail!
I enjoy the food , service and atmosphere at Mansur’s.
We were seated in the bar area, even though many tables were open in the dining rooms. The bar was loud, somewhat uncomfortable as we were right next to the oyster grill.
We wondered if all OpenTable reservations were placed in the bar. I didn't question it, but will remember for the future, here or at other places too.
If the actual policy is to place OpenTable customers in the bar, I would recommend changing this policy. It made the experience less than desirable
SATURDAY NITES GROUPER WAS THE BEST EVER!!!
Mansurs was excellent.. we were there for wife’s birthday and food was delicious.. Our server Treva was great...highly recommended...
Always a great meal and the chargrilled oysters are second to none!
The Spinalus Rib-Cap was perfect. All the other guests enjoyed theirs as well. Always my go-to place for friends and family dining.
Mansur's delicious food and superior service keep us coming back. This restaurant is a family tradition!
Had my favorite - the crab and brie soup and the cedar plank red fish. Always tasty. Well cooked. Great presentation. Service was impecable.
I thoroughly enjoyed our restaurant week menu. The steak was cooked perfectly. Our waitress seemed busy and required a lot of help. IT took a while to get check, which was annoying. Overall, it is a great find and the food is amazing.
