It's a shame everyday of the week can't be a Monday this summer. Otherwise I'd try to eat here almost everynight. Unfortunately the restaurant is only open on Mondays for the summer, so we'll all just have to settle for once a week. As another reviewer said the food here is among the best, if not the best tapas in NYC, and is probably up among the top meals I've had at a New York restaurant. My three favorites were the oxtail, the roasted eggplant, and the goat cheese, apple, and cayenne-lime merengue desert. The flavors and textures combined together deliciously in each plate we had. Definitely will be going back soon to try out the paella MoreOpenTable Diner -
The sushi was as good as any other top notch authentic omakase as I've had, but it feels like a neighborhood joint. While that's cool, and allows for easier reservations since it's more under the radar, there is a disconnect between what you're spending and the environment you're eating it in. Great with the choices of different Hookah flavors. A bit pricey. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 drinks and the Hookah and ended up paying about 150.00. The Quesadillas were good I wouldn't recommend the chicken egg rolls. Made a reservation because we were told we needed one in order to be seated once we got there the hostess didn't even acknowledge that I was showing her I made reservations she just pointed for where she wanted us to sit. Overall cool experience MoreOpenTable Diner -
I have been to Ponty Bistro for their very popular Sunday brunches, which we love. Been wanting to try dinner for a while. My daughter was visiting and her friends needed a Sunday night meeting place for good food and a comfortable setting between Brklyn & Inwood. Ponty Bistro was perfect for our table of six. Drinks were creative and delicious. But the food was incredibly tasty. A touch on Senegalese spicy flair to traditional french bistro cuisine. Fantastic. Friendly and warm service. And a perfectly reasonable check. I loved this place before. Now I love it even more! MoreOpenTable Diner -
We had a perfect evening at Barawine. The restaurant was buzzing happily on a Monday night and we felt very welcome. The charcuterie and cheese plate was a perfect starter to share, and the waitress recommended a number of mains which were all great. We finished with superb chocolate lava cake and coffee made to perfection. We will be back :-) MoreOpenTable Diner -
We booked a table at the last minute when we found ourselves on a chilly night in a neighborhood we were not familiar with. We climbed the unexpected hill from Frederick Douglass Boulevard, surprised to pass by the Hamilton Grange National Park. Rounding the corner to this cosy and welcoming spot, we sat at a tall table by the bar and chuckled at the names on their cocktail list (The Schuyler Sisters! It's Quiet Uptown! If you're a Hamilton fan you'll get it). Great selection of beer, wine, and the aforementioned cocktails. Lots of small plate offerings - the crab cake sliders were delicious. We split a tasty cauliflower-quinoa veggie burger and they indulged our desire for a plate of all the side veggies - romanesco, pureed parsnips and roasted carrots. I'm not a vegetarian, just kind of in the mood for veggies, and these were awesome! (If you are a vegetarian let them know, as there were some pork bits that flavored these dishes). Service was gracious and friendly, the food was great, and we really enjoyed our evening. We will definitely go back - next time we will make it an outing and explore the Hamilton Grange first! Food was good, service not so much. We were seated and greeted but after that no one came to take our order for 30 mins. Then my collegues order unlimited drinks and every time they put an order in there was a 20 min wait and they were only unlimited for an hour. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Kingston, a Jamaican and Caribbean restaurant and bar is the only authentic Caribbean dining experience located in Harlem, the most diverse part of New York City. Kingston creates a euphoric feeling of nostalgia for a caribbean lax, calm and tranquil vacation with the music, energy and food offered which provides an escape from the fast paced New York City. The menu items are traditional Jamaican and Caribbean meals and beverages with a contemporary flare designed to appeal to an International market but still maintaining all crucial taste buds and flavors. Undeniably Caribbean culture, food and music has been impactful globally, regionally and locally. However, there are no Caribbean restaurant and or barwith a complete experience present in the area. But instead elements of the culture were easily modified and copied in so many restaurants. Kingston creates something offering a truly authentic experience. More
