Owner Melba Wilson opened its doors for locals and travelers alike to have a pleasant dining experience with great service. Fried catfish strips, barbecue short rib sliders, and spring rolls filled with peas, rice, and collard greens make delicious appetizers before feasting on the main course. Guests can choose from entrées like Melba's popular Southern fried chicken with eggnog waffles (a winner on Throwdown! with Bobby Flay) as well as pan-seared sea bass and the barbecue turkey meatloaf. This restaurant also serves hamburgers, lighter fare and incredible sides such as candied yams and Melba's famous tres mac n' cheese.

    The food and the service were top tier! The food was piping hot, didn’t take too long to arrive and was delicious! Our server was super personable and helpful. Excellent all the way around. I will definitely be back; gotta try the oxtails next.

    Wonderful! Egg nog waffle was terrific. Chicken was great as was the Mac and Cheese and short ribs. We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC.

    Never a disappointment dining here. Was a few minutes late for reservation time, still seated right away when showed up, no issues. Server was very busy yet we still received prompt and excellent service. Always recommend Melba's as place to dine

    I’ve been to Melba’s 7 times and the experience is always nice. The staff is very pleasant and will come to our table several times to ask if everything is ok and to check if we need anything else. Now let’s get to the food. The food is great. I got the smothered chicken, collard greens and Mac and cheese. It was soooooooooooo good . I’m never disappointed when I go to Melba’s. The food is great, the staff is great, the music is great. I give Melba’s 5 stars.

    Melbas was excellent. Had a party of 10 and our hostess was well prepared and very attentive. The food was great too ! Melba's spring rolls are delicious 😋

    Ambience was low-key, no welcome greeting, pleasant and polite, but not southern hospitality expected. Food was large portion, but lacked fresh taste!
