   I booked this restaurant for my girlfriends birthday. The reservation went through but when I got to the restaurant it was closed. That just isn't acceptable. If you know you're going to close, why not contact open table so they can decline any reservations rather than people turning up expecting a meal and getting nothing. Very disappointed.

   We booked this restaurant for dinner for the 2nd of January on OpenTable. We had a booking and then even received a reminder email about it a few days before. However once we turned up to the restaurant we found it was still closed for the holidays! We had to scramble to find alternative Saturday night plans for our group then and there. It was particularly disappointing as I'd booked this restaurant for everyone and had told them what a great place it was. I couldn't believe the incompetence of the restaurant and/or OpenTable in allowing people to make online bookings for evenings when the restaurant was completely closed!

   Was nice to a notice on the front door saying we are closed and will be open in the new year. Open table or the restaurant didn't inform us! New Years dinner with the wife was spoiled!

   Whilst the food is amazing the service is very poor. We had to wait a long time for the staters which arrived nearly cold. We had to go out of our way to get attention for drinks and drinks took a very long time to come. The service was not warm or friendly and I received attitude at one specific time. This is a pity as the food was delicious but I will not be going back. The restaurant was empty and we were still ignored.

   I went for dinner with friends at Mango Shack last Saturday. The food was without a doubt lovely. It is a shame the customer service didn't match up. When we came the restaurant around 6:30pm, it was not as busy however had to wait over 30 mins for our drinks and after it got busy the wait was even longer. To actually get the attention of a waiter was unbelievably hard. Our service charge was £17.80 As a group, we didn't believe the service amount reflected the service we received due to the lack of attention and actual service. The manager came over to ask for the service charge, I tried to explain why we didn't want to pay that much for service charge. When explaining this to the manager, she was rude and abrupt and stated she doesn't care and is not going to argue with us as the service charge was optional. I found her manner absolutely disgusting as we were giving her constructive feedback on our dining experience. She wanted to say they had large bookings on the night and I can take that into consideration. However, dining at other resturants as busy as Mango Shack, I have never had to track down a waiter for orders or just to simply order. Ultimately, the staff could not handle a busy night like saturday.Therefore more staff should be drafted in for busy weekend nights. Also the Manager should really work on her customer service skills as it evidently was missing last Saturday. Thank you for the food and will definitely back for the food.

   We were late for our booking it didn't matter they seated us quickly .the waiter I'm sorry I don't know his name was wonderful gave good recomendations and made me feel more special than my date did. our food came quickly and was delicious . My mai tai cocktail was on point and there were 2 other birthday groups at the time lovely atmosphere . Very pricey would be the only reason I wouldn't go again unless I'm lucky enough to find a date who would be willing to pay next time .thank you for a lovely evening .

   Coming from the Caribbean myself I was very surprised by the quality of food. Really reminded me of home. I've been to lots of restaurants but never have I felt as though the food was authentic, more a watered down version, but the mango shack was great!! The dessert menu was a bit underwhelming, that's my only criticism but on the whole a brilliant experience, with great service, and a lovely looking restaurant. Oh and great prices too

   The food is pretty good (not great) and the atmosphere is fine - but the service is just a mess. The good-natured staff seem undermined by an apparently slow and chaotic kitchen. Our waiter kept apologizing to us but was at a loss about what to do when the food did not emerge for long periods.

   I came here for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. We booked last minute but the place was pretty empty as it was a Monday night. I had the pork it was very tasty. Portions were a bit small for my other half. The French waiter was very accommodating and helpful. We were with a wheelchair user and a child and we had no problems, disabled toilet is on the ground level.

    Was disappointed with the food. Not as authentic as hoped. Flavoursome in places but not worth money paid for. Great tasting cocktails however.
